Clearwater: It’s time, at last, for tonight’s MAIN EVENT! A first of its kind Arms Race match for the Alpha Pro Wrestling Hardcore Championship!
Remi: For those who missed it on last week’s Monday Night Metal, that means that unlike a standard hardcore match, these two men are going toe-to-toe, with intermittent introduction of weapons from representatives of the world’s nuclear superpowers -- and neither one can attempt a pinfall or submission until all eight weapons have been introduced!
Clearwater: The brainchild of APW General Manager Irina Ivanova herself, and no doubt intended to test the champ to his limits!
Remi: Dude, that’s what Hardcore is all about, and he’s been saying that since day one! Time to put up or shut up! Speaking of which…
Jessica Kaine: The following match is scheduled for ONE FALL and is for the APW Hardcore Championship! Introducing first, the challenger… From Utqiagviq, Alaska -- “The Provocateur”, ARTHUR PLEASANT!
“Alright gentlemen…”
A spotlight shines down on one Arthur Pleasant, wearing a half rubber mask of one of Donald Trump. The very definition of disorder and chaos, no matter which side of the fence you lean. It diagonally covers from his nose down, leaving half his face viewable and the other half covered. The mouth has been cut open with a serrated edge into a frown.
“I want you to repeat after me just how I do it…… ready!?”
He sits with his legs crossed “Indian style” on the stage, leering out at everyone in attendance.
“DA DA, DA DA DA DA DA, DA DA DA DA DA DAAAAA... “
As the hit viral song repeats over and over, Arthur Pleasant slithers his way up to to his feet. He slowly saunters his way down to the ringside area. The audience cannot help themselves, regardless of their feelings for Arthur, but to clap along to the sinfully addictive tune.
Once the drop hits and the bass thunders away across the arena, strobe lights illuminate Arthur’s person, which is covered in neon splotches of hidden words that were roughly scribed with crimson red magic marker.
“DA DA, DA DA DA DA DA, DA DA DA DA DA DAAAAA... “
This time, unlike the episodes of Metal, the words were much different one word stands out amongst every other one this time. “H4RDC0R3”, “PR0PH3T”, “D34TH”, “CH40S”, cast immediate attention from all eyes watching.
“BRING IT AROUND NOW.”
Before long, the chorus continues and Arthur rolls into the ring and slithers his way into the corner. Removing a tattered button up and a tie that had been run through a shredder and (and crudely taped back together again), Arthur closes his eyes and relishes in the macabre of it all. Looking ahead with the half mask, he takes his thumb and pulls up on the mask, letting it fall to the canvas. There is a gasp amongst the fans as they realize his face is covered in red and black paint, forming the picture of a tarantula. Pulling himself up with his scraggly hair, Arthur readies for battle by throwing up his fists in mocking fashion.
Jessica Kaine: And his opponent…
”SO SEEK THE WOLF IN THYSELF!”
Jessica Kaine: From wherever he may roam weighing in at 230 pounds, the APW Hardcore Champion, Dean Wolf!
Dean Wolf marches down the aisle like Steve Austin. When he enters the ring, he walks to every side of the ring, holding up the Hardcore Championship while also exposing the tattoo on his right arm which reads "Seek the wolf in thyself."
The official then takes the Hardcore Championship from Wolf and holds it aloft for a moment before handing it off to the timekeeper as he signals for the bell.
DING DING DING!
