Wrestling Style - Striker (Kickboxing)/Submission specialist
Character Name: Arthur Pleasant
Nickname: The Provocateur
Hometown: Utqiaġvik, Alaska (Pronounced Oot-key-ag-vik)
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 199lbs
Alignment: Heel
In-Ring Style: Striker (Kickboxing)/Submission specialist
Bio: Not to be too cliched, but not much is known about Arthur Pleasant. What little we do know is that he spent the majority of his childhood in a small town of Alaska called Utqiaġvik (pronounced Oot-key-ag-vik”!), where the sun does not set for approximately a full month. What growing up in this environment did to Arthur Pleasant’s psyche is unknown, but rumor has it that Arthur spent a significant amount of time in various institutions and regularly seeks therapy. Beyond the age of 21, Arthur’s history is very much unknown. All we know for sure, based on official documents for identification purposes, is that Arthur Pleasant is 27 years of age. Again... this is only rumored and he may be completely sane with no history of mental illness.
Beyond that? Nothing more can be said.
Attire: Black boots. Tattered dress pants of various colors, usually with words hidden in magic marker. No shirt to emphasize the crudely drawn, and most likely self-inflicted, tattoos.
Theme song: ’Betty Boop’ by Charlie Puth (Remix) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7ZggaUbVlI)
Pic Base:
Joaquin Phoenix (as Arthur Fleck in Joker)
Entrance:
“Alright gentlemen…”
A spotlight shines down on one Arthur Pleasant, wearing a half rubber mask of one of Donald Trump. The very definition of disorder and chaos, no matter which side of the fence you lean. It diagonally covers from his nose down, leaving half his face viewable and the other half covered. The mouth has been cut open with a serrated edge into a frown.
“I want you to repeat after me just how I do it…… ready!?”
He sits with his legs crossed “Indian style” on the stage, leering out at everyone in attendance.
“DA DA, DA DA DA DA DA, DA DA DA DA DA DAAAAA... “
As the hit viral song repeats over and over, Arthur Pleasant slithers his way up to to his feet. He slowly saunters his way down to the ringside area. The audience cannot help themselves, regardless of their feelings for Arthur, but to clap along to the sinfully addictive tune.
Once the drop hits and the bass thunders away across the arena, strobe lights illuminate Arthur’s person, which is covered in neon splotches of hidden words that were roughly scribed with crimson red magic marker.
“DA DA, DA DA DA DA DA, DA DA DA DA DA DAAAAA... “
This time, unlike the episodes of Metal, the words were much different one word stands out amongst every other one this time. “H4RDC0R3”, “PR0PH3T”, “D34TH”, “CH40S”, cast immediate attention from all eyes watching.
“BRING IT AROUND NOW.”
Before long, the chorus continues and Arthur rolls into the ring and slithers his way into the corner. Removing a tattered button up and a tie that had been run through a shredder and (and crudely taped back together again), Arthur closes his eyes and relishes in the macabre of it all. Looking ahead with the half mask, he takes his thumb and pulls up on the mask, letting it fall to the canvas. There is a gasp amongst the fans as they realize his face is covered in red and black paint, forming the picture of a tarantula. Pulling himself up with his scraggly hair, Arthur readies for battle by throwing up his fists in mocking fashion.
Favorite moves: Superkicks, Flying Heel Kick (ala OwenHart/Rusev/1-2-3 Kid), Dropkick, DDT, Piledrivers and variations, various leg submissions and wear down moves
Signature move(s): Midnight Sun (Superkick to the back of the head that drops opponent neck first into the middle rope. Arthur runs into the ropes, and on the rebound nails a reverse tiger feint kick to the back of the opponent’s head. In hardcore matches, this is ALWAYS set up with a steel chair wedged between the ropes.)
Finisher(s): 1. Provocation (Flying Extended Kick - Drew McIntyre’s Claymore) 2. Abyssal Clutch (Bas Rutten Neck Crank - sometimes manipulated into a pin combo)
Manager (optional): Himself. Wait, what? Yes. He may in fact get advice from himself in the corner at times.
He actually submitted "Manager: Me" on his contract. Unbelievable.
