Character Name: Serenity Sherman
Nickname: Battlin' Boxer; Bam Bam; Firebrand
Hometown: Joplin, MO
Height: 5'4
Weight: 157 lbs
Alignment: Face-adjacent
In-Ring Style: With her smashmouth, hyper-aggressive offense, Serenity certainly lives up to her nicknames much more than her given one. A freakish athlete with heavy striking power (particularly in her kicks) ridiculous core strength, and a penchant for closing gaps quickly, she approaches a wrestling match the same way the Diaz brothers approach MMA fights, constantly pushing the pace and generally annoying the hell out of opponents.
Bio: The second of four daughters to a former St. Louis Golden Gloves champion and a softball star at MSSU, and hailing from a lineage of gifted-but-troubled athletes, Serenity Sherman is nothing if not a chip off the old block. A multi-sport star in high-school, Serenity would've had an easy path to a college of her choosing were it not for her distinct lack of interest in academics and her volatility on the field. Dropping out of high-school her junior year after getting kicked off the school's basketball team for dislocating an opponent's shoulder Kelly Olynyk style, she turned to training as a professional wrestler to channel her intense competitiveness into a craft that would more readily appreciate her intensity.
Attire: Studded red leatherette crop-top with black trim, red & black leatherette boy shorts with a studded belt, high-waisted fishnet tights, and powder blue boots.
Theme song: iwrestledabearonce — Gift of Death
Pic Base: Toni Storm
Entrance: The building, cacophonic insanity that is iwrestledabearonce's "Gift of Death" hits the speakers and a single word appears on the titantron: Sherman. Once Courtney LaPlante's vocals kick in and the song shifts into full gear, Serenity Sherman explodes from the back, decked out in an acid wash denim jacket, St. Louis Cardinals snapback, and black sunglasses. She grins from ear to ear as she takes one quick glance around the arena before sprinting down the ramp and sliding under the bottom rope, into the ring. She takes her jacket, hat, and glasses off and hands them to the official before settling into her corner.
Favorite moves:
Left Jab-Right Straight combo
Two Left Jabs-Right Hook combo
Hip Attack
Forearm Shiver
Penalty Kick
Roundhouse Kick
Suplex Variations (German, Northern Lights, Exploder, Saito, etc.)
Lariat
Headbutt
Arm Wrench/Yakuza Kick
Bulldog
Arm-trap Hair-pull Backbreaker
Double-Leg Takedown
Single-Leg Takedown
Signature move(s):
Gut Check — Hard Open-Hand Slap to the face (typically done to an opponent she feels is being timid)
Ass-Tonishment — Sprinting Hip Attack to an opponent seated in the corner (typically done up to three times in a row)
Swinging for the Fences* — Not a move in and of itself, rather a response. As a match progresses and her temper begins to flare, she's liable to snap and eschew any veneer of strategy and just start throwing everything she has into every strike, hoping to drop a motherfucker.
