Bio: Silvan (birth name Gerov Chirkov Stranski) joined the Bulgarian Orthodox Church as a young and aspiring man. When from his work with hospitalized poor, he discovered his ability to heal people (a power that does not work on himself). Many refute what millions have asserted with their own eyes. Many in his religious circle distrust him for breaking conventions like shaving his beard and having an open life for intimacy. Those outside Bulgaria's church love him to the point of living veneration.
His passion for wrestling paralleled the needs of his struggling church and community. Thus, on a mission from God, his athletics have led Gerov to the ranks of APW. His pursuit, regardless of how self-aggrandizing appears in paper, is born of a willingness to abstain from all things sinful makes him a prudish person to be around outside of the ring. His ring name is also that of his given name in faith: Silvan, a saint martyred during The Middle Ages. Gerov is also a charitable soul that gives most of earnings back to his people back in Bulgaria.
Attire: Black tights, kneepads and boots; black compression sleeve over his right arm with blacker elbow pads. Enters wearing a raggedy priest robe with a cord sash and Byzantine crucifix around his neck.

Entrance: Spotlights flicker to a blinding hue to the toll of church bells. Fans pop, excited as they ring into the opening riffs of “Take Me to Church” and its droning rock rhythm. A single spotlight focuses from the darkened arena on the silhouette of Silvan walking onto the stage wearing black priest robes and a golden crucifix. He then kneels for a prayer with an incense lantern glowing in front of him.

Silvan walks to the ring swinging an incense down the ramp. He never looks in any direction nor pays attention to the hands vying for his touch. His route circles the entire ring before stopping at the steel steps, where he discards his lantern. The song slows as his jogs up the stairs and enter the ring’s center. There he raises his Byzantine-style cross to bless the ring in an act of consecration. He then wad the necklace with his robes and hands all that stuff off, readying for the match with his back to a turnbuckle.
