November 2018 -- Kyoto, Japan
Jason and the other members of the unit are in their new HQ. He and his wife, Nozomi, are in their personal room, packing up their things. Jason looks understandably disappointed, with the imminent closing of New Blood Wrestling.
Nozomi: Hey. Why don’t you take a breather? I know you’re close to moving up to crutches, but you still shouldn’t be working so much. That’s why you got your commissioner position in the first place.
Jason: A position I no longer have. I have to feel useful somehow. Even if it’s packing up to leave Japan. I’ll be honest, Nozi… I think I’m going to miss this place. As much as I enjoy being in Anaheim, there’s just something about being here. It feels like it was always supposed to be home.
Nozomi: You’re beginning to sound like Roku. You know, we don’t have to leave. There are other reasons to live in Japan.
Jason: We’re the Anaheim Security Unit for a reason. We have to go back, at some point. With New Blood going under, there isn’t much reason to have a base on the other side of the planet.
Before Nozomi could reply, Jason’s phone rings. He answers, and begins to converse in Japanese. Nozomi stops what she’s doing to listen in on the conversation. Once it ends, Jason hangs up the phone, tosses it on the bed, and gives a long sigh as he rolls his eyes and drops his head down.
Nozomi: What was that about?
He sighs again, looking annoyed.
Jason: Our final Masuda Corp. meeting is today.
Nozomi: Wasn’t it not supposed to be until next week?
Jason: Change of plans… which means the Master isn’t happy, unsurprisingly.
Nozomi: Well… I was kind of tired of packing anyway.

Yokohana, Kanagawa Perfecture, Japan -- Masuda Corp. HQ
Jason, along with Nozomi, Auron, ZiiX, and Roku are in an enclosed area for their meeting. They enter the meeting room, which has a large round table, that is oddly empty, other than Masuda Jubei himself, and one other person. Lance Walker, who seems like he was rushed over himself. The more able bodied members of the ASU surround Jason as a safety measure.
Lance: Well… It seems all of us are here now. I was a bit tired of the waiting.
Masuda walks over to the ASU, and stares down at Jason. Roku steps forward, sneering at the Master, who snickers before speaking in Japanese.
Jubei: Please. I have no intentions of physical contact.
Jason: Stand down, Roku.
Roku backs away, still staring down at Jubei. Jason struggles to stand, Nozomi tries to help, but Jason waves her off, and replies to Jubei in Japanese.
Jason: What’s the meaning of this, Master? New Blood is under. Is there a new project underway that you need assistance for?
Jubei: Yes, and no. The Masuda Corp. does indeed have a new project on the horizon, however… none of you will be a part of it. Neither Lance Walker, nor the Anaheim Security Unit will be a part of the Masuda Corp. any longer. You failed me. I will not trust you again for anything, Zurra.
Lance: What’s he saying? I heard my name, but I can’t understand anything aside from that.
Everyone ignores Lance, as Roku gives Masuda an angered look.
Roku: We’re not the reason New Blood failed! It was doomed, whether or not we were involved! You’re just looking for people to blame.
Jubei: We had everything we needed to stay afloat. You were a major part, yet we disintegrated. I trusted you especially, Zurra. You were my right hand man, but not anymore. You’re done. All of you.
Nozomi: So you brought us all here just to give us the pink slip? How bitter. You could have just emailed us. We all have other things to worry about.
Jubei smirks at Nozomi, and walks back to his seat.
Jubei: I want you all to feel the disappointment that I feel right now. Now, go. All of you, get out of my sight!
All of them exit the room, when Lance looks at everyone with a confused look.
Lance: What just happened? I don’t know Japanese. I just know how to cook their food.
ZiiX pats him on the shoulder before giving him the bad news.
ZiiX: We’re out of a job, friend. He fired us.
Lance: Oh, that’s it? He could have just emailed us. What a bloke! I have more important things to do than sit here and waste my time when I have other work I need to do.
Jason sighs once again, feeling the same way he did before he got hired by Jubei.

December 2018 -- Anaheim, California
The ASU have returned home. Jason, at this point, is just starting to get used to being in crutches. With him in the medbay are Nozomi, ZiiX, and Auron, who are all helping make sure he stays standing, although Auron isn’t as hands on as the other two.
Auron: I’ll be honest, Jason. Your recovery process is going quicker than I expected it to. At this rate, you could be fully recovered by the summer of 2019.
Jason: Not soon enough, if you ask me.
ZiiX: It’s understandable for you to feel a sort of desperation to be more active. Going from having a chance at a successful career to being held down by physical woes can be a very frustrating experience, surely.
Jason rolls his eyes at ZiiX’ obvious observation, before his phone rings. He struggles to get back to his wheelchair, Nozomi helping guide him. Once he makes it, he takes the phone from his pocket, and lets out a curious facial expression, before answering the phone.
Jason: Hello? … Yes, this is him… uh huh… Yes, that’s correct… Yes… A meeting? … What’s this about exactly? … uh huh… Interesting. Yes, we’re not very busy today, although it’s on short notice, if I’m honest, and more importantly, I’m not sure if I should trust you… Yes… Yes, I understand that, but… uh huh… Well, I suppose a meeting would be the only way to find out, then. Yes… I appreciate the interest. You too, thank you. See you soon.
Jason hangs up the phone, looking a bit flabbergasted.
Nozomi: Who was that?
Auron: And what the hell just happened?
Jason: That… was Damian Kaine. He wants us to have a meeting with him about a potential job.
Auron: “Us” as in…?
Jason: Everyone in the ASU that worked for the Masuda Corp.
Nozomi: Why should we trust him? How did he even get your number?
Jason: He has close ties with L Verez. She apparently referred him to me.
Auron: Quason chick? Isn’t she still with Action Wrestling? Why is she helping her friend form a potential rival promotion?
Jason: I’m not sure. All I know is that Damian wants all of us to meet with him about potentially joining him for this project.
ZiiX: Does this project have a name?
Jason: Alpha Pro Wrestling. The meeting is today.
ZiiX: Where to? I can get Roku, and let him know.
Jason: San Diego. Actually, he just sent me the address.

San Diego, California -- APW HQ
Jason and the rest of the ASU members head into the HQ. This one being a lot more open and elegant than Masuda’s dark and brooding HQ. As they make their way to the office, they see a familiar face in Lance Walker.
Lance: Oh. Hello, again. I’m assuming your presence isn’t a coincidence.
Jason: Most likely not. Are you also here to meet with Damian Kaine?
Lance: Damian Kaine? No. I’m here to talk to Adam Dante.
Roku: Who the hell is that?
Jason: I’m not sure, but I have a feeling we’re going to find out very soon.
They all enter the meeting room, and they see three figures already sitting in a long table. Damian Kaine was easy to spot. The others were unrecognizable.
Dante: So… I hear you were the ones that worked for New Blood Wrestling. You especially, Jason Zurra. My name is Adam Dante. This is Irina Ivanova, and I assume most of you already know, or at least know of Damian Kaine.
Jason looks a bit bewildered. They all sit, except for Jason, who’s already sitting in his wheelchair.
Jason: I assume this is about Alpha Pro Wrestling. Damian filled me in.
Lance: You’re right! We worked for New Blood Wrestling. I was the head trainer.
Damian: I told Adam what I knew.
Dante: My question is… should I trust you all after New Blood closed down? How do I know none of you are the reason for it?
Irina: We make sure we trust before we hire.
Jason: Trust is a two way street. We want to trust you as well. I won’t speak ill of anyone from New Blood, but I can guarantee that none of us are what brought NBW to its untimely demise.
ZiiX: We’ve done everything we could to make sure the talent were up to par. I can even attest for Lance. He did good work, in my opinion.
Lance: Thank you, lad. I appreciate that. It was a pleasure working with all of you, and I’d do it again.
Auron: I feel the funders of New Blood were ultimately what brought everything down. I was just the main medic, so I’m just going by whispers.
Jason and Adam eye each other for a bit. Jason also looks to Damian and Irina.
Jason: I’d like for us to talk more about everything. I’m interested in this ordeal.
Damian: I like that idea. Get to know and trust them more before we make our final decision.
Dante: Alright… That starts now. I want to ask you all some things…
