Bio: Ethan Van Oddwin is a small town guy who moved to a big city as a teen in order to pursue his dream. That's the short version anyway, the LONG version is that E.V.O grew up on a cattle and sheep ranch in northern South Dakota where his main hobbies included video games, parties and amateur wrestling. After graduating high school at 17 he would move to Rapid City, South Dakota for a time in order to take classes at multiple martial arts schools located there and in the nearby area. He would eventually move once again to Sioux Falls in order to attend SDSU on a scholarship for Collegiate Wrestling, but still participated in the previously mentioned classes. With some difficulty, Oddwin successfully juggled University, the party life, wrestling and four martial arts classes a week for four years.
After finishing school, Oddwin quickly began a kickboxing career at the advice of his uncle. This career saw him relocate to Seattle, but after thirty fights and a 27-3-0 record Oddwin left the circuit citing 'disagreements' between himself and his uncle as the tipping point. He would spend nearly the next three years traveling, participating in mixed-martial-arts tournaments and kickboxing competitions around the world while also an active and enthusiastic tourist. Returning to the States in late 2018 and having made a name for himself internationally, Oddwin began using his fame as a platform to speak out on various issues, mostly of the social variety. He also began organizing charity fights to raise money for persons and communities in need. Ethan organized two charity fights in Ferguson Missouri, three in Chicago Illinois, one in Baltimore, Maryland, two in Flint, Michigan and most recently one in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, to raise money and draw attention to the burning rain forest.
During this time however, Oddwin didn't stay idle behind the scenes. His original ream was to learn martial arts in order to supplement his skills for an eventual debut in pro-wrestling, and it was during this time that he began training to ascend to the next level of competition. Now it's his time to walk that ramp, step between those ropes and show the world what he can do.
E.V.O is a bit of a goofball, and it can be easy for his opponents to underestimate him due to his slightly California surfer-dude carefree attitude. Plus he's jsut some young punk, right? Some upstart? Well, it's unwise to discredit him even if that's a mistake many people make. What draws fans to whoop, holler, cheer for and identify with Ethan is his genuine personality, a bit of natural charisma and just how much damn fun he always seems to be having. But fans also realize that "The Next Level" is a legitimate fighter. He's legitimately trained in boxing, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, Aikido and Jujitsu, but some people forget that because he's a bit of a dork and says things like 'dude' and 'bruh' a lot. But make no mistake, Ethan Van Oddwin has the body, soul and fighting spirit of a warrior. His never say die attitude and legitimate tough-guy origins mean he's a hell of a beast to put down, and since he preaches owing up to and learning from mistakes he's always gonna keep coming back for more.
Attire:
Theme song:
Pic Base: Matt Riddle
Entrance:
Elevate, Elevate, Elevate
Elevate, Elevate, Elevate
Elevate
As "Next Level" by LZ7 begins, the artena is shrouded in darkness save for dim green and gold lights near the entrance platform. E.V.O, shrouded by the dim light and his hooded vest makes his way out onto the platform and bounces from one foot to the other as the music's intro continues to build. And then...
Next Level!
E.V.O suddenly ducks into a boxing stance and throws a right hook into the air, causing pyro to explode in a flash of gold and a crash of sound. That's quickly followed by a left hook, causing pyro to explode on the left side of the ramp as well. E.V.O brings up his right and left knees in powerful strikes to the air and in quick succession, causing two more explosions of pyro and the lights to come on as "The Next Level" yells to the crowd and they respond in kind. Ethan makes his way halfway down the ramp, high-fiving fans off to the side, then siwtches and makes his way down the other side and greets more fans. He finds someone to give his shades to, probably a kid of either gender, before he clmbs onto the apron and slingshots himself over the top rope, landing confidently on his feet inside the ring. E.V.O takes a wide stance and raises one arm slowly, to the raucous applause of the crowd, before he ditches his vest. Ethan quickly finds a turnbuckle to climb, where he holds his arms out wide and yells out to address the crowd again. He then retreats to one corner, stretching his arms and legs out as he waits for the match to begin.

- Restrained Spinebuster (From the front, Ethan grabs both his opponents hands and forces them to cross behind their back at the wrist just above the waist. Ethan then lifts them up and performs a spine buster with the opponents arms between them and the canvas, forcing the arms to take massive damage. after the opponent has been laid out by this their arms may remain trapped underneath them if they aren't careful, and when Ethan notices he will immediately mount them and begin delivering MMA style clubbing forearm and sharp elbow strikes to the head that they cannot protect.)
- Flash Knee (Sudden knee strike. like Matt Riddle's.)
- Ripcord Knee Strike
- Sioux-Style Pounce (Ethan does a wide double knee drop onto a face up or face down opponent with their arms spread out, in which he bring shit knees down viciously on their arms and pins his opponents arms down with his knees so that they cannot defend themselves from the MMA style elbows that he proceeds to rain down on their skull.)

Other "Moves" (Spots):
- If put with his back against the ringpost by his opponent, Ethan bay begin ducking and weaving under their attempted strikes before suddenly countering with a strong hook or uppercut to the jaw. He'll then step out of the corner while bringing the opponent in by their arm or shoulder, switching places with them to rain boxing-style bodyshots and hooks onto them in a wild flurry.
- If targeted with a flurry of strikes by his opponent, Ethan may begin bobbing, ducking and weaving away from them as per above before similarily countering with a flurry of right and left hooks that drive the opponent to the ropes. After the ref breaks the confrontation up due to the opponent being on the ropes, Ethan will take half a step back before knocking the opponent senseless with a standing roundhouse that leaves them limp against the ropes for a time.
- If the opponent rolls out of the way of one of Ethan's Standing Shooting Star Presses he may see it in time, and react quickly enough to land on his feet. He may then drop a quick eblow onto his opponent, or go for the Sioux-Style Pounce.
Finisher(s):
- Project: BRUH (Dream Valley Driver. May keep his opponent on his shoulders after the cartwheel, so he can immediately hit the move again.)
- Starkiller (Black Mass, but the foot lift is much much faster.)
- Rolling Death Cradle / Crocodile Clutch (Ethan's version of a kirifuda clutch. The main different is that Ethan will periodically force his opponent to roll around the ring with him, pinching stressing and bending their limbs and head at excuritating angles. These "death rolls" are especially useful for keeping an opponent away from the ropes.)
