A few days after the 8/12 episode of Metal. In Jaice Wilds' apartment, Kennedy Matthews looks across the table at her boyfriend. She tilts her head a bit, trying to determine his mental state. Wilds doesn't make her wait long.
Jaice Wilds:
Look, Kenz. I love you. I do. And, sure; I can see myself at the altar with you someday. I just… we shouldn't do it out of fear. We shouldn't do it because of the timeline. When I propose to you, I want it to be because we're both ready for that particular step in our relationship, not because we feel like it's something that needs to happen because of the circumstances.
Kennedy takes this in, nodding. After a moment, she shrugs as she reaches across the table to grab Jaice's hands.
Kennedy Matthews:
I wasn't trying to put a timeline on it, hon. I just need to know if this is going somewhere or if I'm going to end up a single mother. I'm really not looking forward to leaving the business if I don't have to; but I also can't raise a child by myself in this business. So I need to know that I'll be able to trust the father of my child to be as dedicated to the whole program as he is to his own career.
Wilds seems a bit taken aback at first, furrowing his brow. He sighs, relaxing as he looks back.
Jaice Wilds:
I… get it. After the catastrophe over there, I've been struggling to find myself. I mean, I was about to unleash on the False King, and then… whatever. Look, this is my life. It's the only thing I know. So, yeah. As long as I'm able to maintain my physical mobility, this is how I'm providing for myself. For our family. But my priority from here on out is our family. And I'm not going to leave you stranded when you need me most.
Kennedy grins, tugging on Wilds' arm. Jaice walks around the table, the two embrace. After a few moments, Jaice backs away just enough to plant a kiss on Kennedy's forehead. He looks down, placing a hand on her belly.
Kennedy Matthews:
If you're serious about that… I do have an OB appointment on Monday.
Jaice Wilds:
Irina gave me the week off. Count me in.

The following is a letter addressed to Allen Anderson; intercepted and published to the Alpha Pro Wrestling website.
Time is not your friend. In fact; time has become your greatest enemy.
You see, Alli, you made a cardinal mistake. You showed your true colors, then tried to turn around and make people see another side of you. But as it stands, you have only served to solidify the coward we all watched unfold after Alpha Showdown.
You bitch, and bitch, and bitch and bitch and moan about Smith Jones cheating to put you out of the Showdown and cost you a shot at Masuda and the World Title. But what have you done to show anyone it was a fluke? What have you done to prove yourself since then?? Not a goddamn thing, far as I can tell. A continued string of losses, followed by a single victory- of which you weren't even recorded for the fall- and more bitching.
Come the fuck on.
Do I even need to keep tearing your ass a new one? You're practically doing that job for me.
Let's take a quick look at what got us here, shall we?? I just got done dominating Road Dawg for the second time and owning Big Bad Bodacious like the unequalled veteran I am. I celebrate my victory for a brief moment, only for your punk ass to come out and brutally assault me with a steel chair.
Are you proud of yourself, Al? Are you content with knowing your greatest accomplishment to date is attacking a living legend from behind with a foreign object? That your most epic moment is a cheap shot on an exhausted man who just went through a champion and a possible future one?
If my legacy was built on cheap shots and whining, I'd feel like a walking embarrassment. But that's just me.
Every piece of me wanted to attack you last week. Turnabout being fair play and all. But I stopped myself. I kept myself at home with Kennedy and our unborn child. I stayed with the ones I love; because I don't know who is coming home to them after Ascension. I've had several weeks and a loss at the hands of our World Champion to ponder just what kind of hell I'm going to unleash on you. And I will tell you this, boy.
I'm going to brutalized you in ways that have not been imagined.
I'm going to give you bruises in places where doctors didn't realize you had places.
I'm going to bleed you so dry, the entirety of the Red Cross' national blood reserves will deplete to nothing before you have a chance of living.
You ignited a flame within me, Anderson; a flame of vengeance, the magnitude of which has never before been witnessed. I will not stop beating your body until you have given up all signs of life, and even then I will merely begin to slow.
No.
Holds.
Barred.
Do you realize what that means, Allen? Allow me to explain, in full detail.
That means that the God of Horrorcore Wrestling stands across from you. His only limit is the farthest extent of his mind- and I have been through some shit, boyo. Your mind, your body, your soul; your very existence on this plane of reality lies in my hands and I alone have the power to allow that existence… or to expel you from it like the insignificant spot you are.
Forget your anus, Double A. Prepare your last will and testament. Prepare your final arrangements. Prepare your friends and loved ones; because at Ascension, I will be unleashing the keys to your final decension.
I'll see you soon, bitch. Deuces.
-------------------------
The adrenaline rushes through his veins. His fists ball, a sick grin crossing his face. Kennedy Matthews looks mildly concerned as she gazes on her beau.
Kennedy Matthews:
Jaice? Babe, you have to be careful...
Jaice hangs his head, taking in a deep breath.
Jaice Wilds:
I understand your concern, Kenz. But it's all gonna be okay. I just have to beat some sense into a self-centered hypocrite.
Kennedy Matthews:
We have a child to consider, Jaice. I'm not going to feel confident with a paralyzed father figure moping about how great things used to be.
Jaice turns, hearing the annoyance in her voice. He breathes in deeply, taking a moment to gather his thoughts.
Jaice Wilds:
Whatever happens between myself and Allen, I'll be fine within a week or two. Our child won't be watching his father struggle.
Kennedy gives him the stink eye, Wilds taking a step back. He holds a hand up in defense, a slight grin.
Jaice Wilds:
We want our baby to stand up to bullies, right? So when he or she looks back at our matches, they'll see us doing that very thing. And they can be proud of their parents for being about what they preach.
Kennedy raises an index finger, stifling a grin. She shakes her head, leaning in to embrace her man.
Kennedy Matthews:
You're an ass, you know that?
The two chuckle as they leave the living room, heading for their bedroom.
