Recorded backstage from Monday Night Metal
There's a hidden camera in a locker room showing footage of the aftermath between Jason and Odin. Odin is landing left and right hooks on Jason while the ASU try and pull them apart. He gets past them to get one more knee to the gut on Jason before he begins to back off.
Odin: You asked for this, Zurra. After Ascension, this shithole will need a new commissioner.
Jason tries to go after him, but Auron and Nozomi keep him back while Odin maniacally walks off.
Auron: You just recovered, Jason. Don't be stupid.
Nozomi: Seriously, we don't need you getting hurt again. I still can't even believe you challenged Odin to a match.
Jason winces in pain as he sits against the locker behind him.
Jason: I can't keep letting him get away with how he belittles everyone. He attacked you, Auron. How can I let him make a fool out of us? Out of APW?
Nozomi: Know your limits, babe. Look at what happened to Roku. That was a regular match, and he's in the hospital. This one is unsanctioned. You could end up with an even worse injury! You could be permanently paralyzed this time.
Jason has a distant look for a moment. He gets up, holding his gut, but still mostly looking okay as he brushes himself up.
Jason: I wouldn't have taken this match if I weren't confident about it. I know the risks, and unlike Roku, I have an actual strategy. I'll be ok. I promise.

Recorded from Jason's local office
Jason: I didn't expect to be recording this, but I feel it's important. I have a few things to discuss. About my health, and about my match with Odin this Sunday at APW Ascension. I wasn't completely honest with you all, and I apologize first and foremost. I milked my injury a bit. I was originally cleared the week of Alpha Showdown. I milked it because of the match between Odin and Roku. I didn't want to intervene, and I didn't want Odin to think I would intervene. So I just sat next to the commentary table to observe. I also did it as a bit of a test. I wanted to see how far Odin would go. Would he be willing to hurt an already injured man? For a moment, it almost seemed like he planned to after he won against Roku. After he attempted to injure Vincent Walker the same way he injured my brother, I had enough. I couldn't keep the ruse going any longer.
People keep asking why I continue to go after Odin. Why I don't let things go and allow him to do what he wants. The reason for that is because that would be a detriment, and a disservice to APW. If I let Odin run rampant, then I risk more of our talent being injured and humiliated by this man. I risk him making a fool out of us all. Be that as it may, I was given an ultimatum by Adam Dante, as he doesn't agree with my decision to try and mitigate Odin's actions. If I lose this match against Odin, then I have to step back and allow him to freely terrorize APW. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but that's how I see it. But if I win, I can assure everyone that Odin will not be a detriment to APW. I will have the power to keep him in line, and mitigate the chaos he brings to APW.
On one last note, I want to address my future. A lot of people are afraid for me. They don't see me getting out of this match in one piece. I'll prove everyone wrong. In fact, after this match against Odin, win or lose, I will have a return tour. No, I will not be going back to competing full time. APW is still my number one priority. Nevertheless, I want to prove my worth. Prove that even the worst injuries won't hold me back. I've signed for a couple events already. Let's see if I end up on those cards.
Jason leans closer to the camera.
Now I'd like to address you directly, Odin. In the end, I still respect what you've done for the business of professional wrestling. I don't agree with what you've done with APW, but what you've done prior has been nothing short of incredible. That being said, I will not allow you to continuously spread ill of us. I'm confident in my abilities. It's taken a long road for me to get where I am today. You may defeat me, but you will not break me. No matter what happens, after this match, you will never belittle APW the way you have… ever again.
He pushes his office chair away from the camera, and does the "cut it" signal, ending the feed.
