We see the moment Zaigon Carter made his stunning reveal alongside Dr. Milgram...

They stand over the fallen as the show last went off air.

Lights line up to a walkway that ends with a walkway crisscrossed by a gavel and executioner’s axe. Spark fly from the Liberty or Death logo when a blast of red light dims into blackness.

Suddenly, the lights snap back into position with ringside shots of the crowd in the Hiroshima Green Arena. They’re going crazy as the cameras heroically pan over them until cutting to Mike Clearwater and Jonah St. Remi at ringside in conflicting black and red suits.

Clearwater: Welcome to Hiroshima!

St. Remi: You got that right, bro! Look at this crowd—they are PUMPED!!

Clearwater: Liberty. Or. Death… it has been on the tongues of Alpha Pro-wrestling all month. Now, in the perfect moment of this sport, we come to a judgment day for all the sins of APW.

St. Remi: And with that we might just see justice here tonight. No champion is safe in Hiroshima!

Clearwater: And all that leading up to one of the biggest World Title tilts we’ve seen in a long, long time.

St. Remi: Zaigon Carter, after to many weeks of toying with the fans—and then our illustrious World Champion, Damon Warrens—revealed himself last week in what was supposed to be a lesson from Metal GM Masuda Jubei.

Clearwater: Carter might have made his rude reawakening to APW, but now he has to back his words and actions in a fair fight against the seemingly invincible Damon Warrens.

St. Remi: Invincible indeed! But we also see America going against the ever-dangerous Felicity Ann Mason for the American Title.

Clearwater: And Kayby defends his Hardcore Title against Alex Scott, the rightful challenger, and the thorn in his side known as Daniel Christopher.

St. Remi: Beware the Butcher!

Clearwater: Also... a surprise concert tonight by the one and only, King Gnu.

St. Remi: Hey! I listened to them on the flight over. They shred, bro!

Clearwater: Exactly, and we know Daniel Christopher is going to bring another level of violence to this match. But first… let’s head to the ring!

Four combatants stand across from one another: Umeji with a pop from the pro-Japanese crowd. Harvey gets a mild pop as does the Tigress Oni. That’s when the lights go out, and when they return, we see reigning champion Sky Edwards with the Strong Style Title.

He hands it to the referee who then passes it off to hands at ringside. The bell sounds and there’s an immediate melee.

Umeiji springboards right into a spinebuster from the Strong Style Champion.

Action intensifies when the champion turns the tables on a brawl opposite him, lariats dropping both Harvey and Oni. He then then back suplexes the much lighter Oni over the ropes.

She recovers only to have Harvey shoulder block—one aimed at Edwards—spearing the Tigress onto the mat outside the ring.

Then there were Three.

Harvey snap suplexes the champ, but Umeiji rallies behind his own brand of strong style with a series of shotgun dropkicks. He hit the ropes for a head scissors on Harvey. He then goes for the champion but gets stuck in the turnbuckle from a nasty drop toehold.

Harvey roars back and drops both opponents with dazzling forearm smashes. He then reverses a uranage slam into a modified t-bone suplex that topples the veteran Umeji over the ropes.

Then there were two.

Edwards DDTs Marx with his arms raised. He then ascends the turnbuckle. He has evil plans on his mind with a raging Harvey wails on him with all he has.

Edwards latches on for dear life, but Harvey swipes that aside with big forearms. He then runs to the opposite corner, and behind a chugging head of steam, runs and hits the Show Stopper corner splash. Edwards flips over the ropes and plants out of the ring.

Jessica Kaine: Your winner… and new Alpha Pro-Wrestling Strong Style Champion, Harvey Marx!

Clearwater: He defied odds and now takes home his first gold in APW

St. Remi: You go kid! Get that Brass Ring!

Clearwater: And he exits the ring—good for him!

St. Remi: We are writing history tonight once more… and soon to be forever again. But what’s this?

Clearwater: It’s Leah Lincoln!

St. Remi: She sustained quite an attack at the hands of the Left Hand. Looks like she’s still wearing those scars, bro. What a shame for such a great competitor.

We cut from the arena to a backstage area. There, like a fallen angel, Leah is shown sitting outside a doctors office. She looks kinda sad but it’s hard to tell given the way Leah is. Leah stares at the camera and shakes her head before specking.

Leah: Through life we are given news that makes us happy or sad. Those are the thing that make us or break us. Today i was given some news that is a little of both, depending on who you ask. Now many know that i got a concusion by the Left Hand last month when a chair was put over my head and Skye double stomped it. Well he put a little more behind it and i also received a shoulder injury and a cracked skull. Now i am not one to give up but i did have some brain swelling and some bleeding due to this attack that went wrong. I talked to several doctors and they told me that any trauma to the head could kill or paralyze me. Now as tough as i am, i do not want to lose something that brought me so much joy.

I have to announce that i am taking a leave till i am 100% healed and am medically cleared to return to the ring. So Left Hand when i do comeback i will be seeking my revenge on you and anyone associated with you. What you did was wrong and the payback will be better than the setback.

Leah walks off as the scene ends.

Smash cut to a parking lot area where Zaigon Carter has arrived with his entourage. That’s when a speeding Nissan GTR—a gorgeous custom model decked out with neon lights and nice growl under the hood, which also includes a product placement close up of the Nissan Logo—Tokyo drifts around a corner. A battered but not undone Damon Warrens rages out of the driver’s seat.

Clearwater: It’s Damon Warrens! He’s arrived to Hiroshima!

St. Remi: And it looks like he’s not going to wait for the match to get his hands on Zaigon Carter!

Miscellaneous security step between them before an altercation can take place. That’s when GM Masuda shows up in his backstage gear. His pulsing face points through an angry digit.

Jubei: Fine. You want this so bad—

Damon pushes through, a stray elbow hitting the General Manager in her nose as he does, before grabbing the tapered lapel of Zaigon’s designer suit. Zaigon shouts back at him without losing composure. Only the intervention of Jaime and yet more security regains order in the parking area. Zaigon walks away calmly with a few parting words to Warrens before being pulled into a backstage corridor by security.

Clearwater: That went bad in seconds!

St. Remi: Look, bro! Jubei is bleeding!

The camera cuts back GM Jubei whose nose has a streak of blood flowing down. Masuda, however, has not noticed it while he maintains a glare through APW’s World Champion.

Jubei: Get him out here.

Warrens leaves with Jaime without letting security grab his shoulders. He shouts something back to the General Manager before exiting through doors opposite of where the world title challenger had just left through moment ago. Jubei watches him leave only now realizing the blood flow.

From inside the office, Taylor-Made Ms. Arden Taylor watched with horror as Daniel Christopher spontaneously spawned a Lincoln Continental stretch on the rooftop. She jumped to her feet seeing her Bae-by (and I guess that other guy) flying overtop of the limousine. When Daniel Christopher grabbed for handcuffs she ran for the stairs.

By the time she reached the rooftop Kayby Hale Cassidy was already bleeding on the ground. "HALE!" A bloodcurdling scream erupted from Taylor-Made Ms. Arden Taylor. "Get away from him!" Already an emergency helicopter had landed to treat the stabbed Hardcore Champion. She knelt down at his side frantically brushing the hair from his forehead. Tears streamed down her cheeks like the mighty St. Lawrence. Unable to allow her to stay at his side, paramedics ushered her back.

The world slowed, and Taylor-Made Ms. Arden Taylor felt herself fading out. She began speaking, though she couldn't hear what she said. "We knew the world would not be the same." She said in a faint voice. "A few people laughed," she looked over to Daniel Christopher; in her mind she pictured Jessica Lee, The Bane, the Dark Mistress, all laughing. "...A few people cried," she said clutching at her chest. She imagined the faces of Hale's family. "...Most people were silent." Her head hangs low as she turns toward her Bae-by. "I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita... Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says..." She turned back to Daniel Christopher. Bystanders later reported that for a fleeting second her eyes changed. "'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.' I suppose we all thought that one way or another."

A pirouette to close the distance, a spinning heel kick with Balmain tall stretch velvet boots directly to the solar plexus. Daniel Christopher clutched his chest as he struggled to breath.

A hop step back, a savate kick broke through his defenses to strike him again in the solar plexus. Daniel Christopher hunched over wheezing.

Taylor-Made Ms. Arden Taylor put her hand in her pocket. When she removed her hand brass knuckles adorned it. Swiftly a body blow landed on Daniel Christopher's ribs, and another around his kidney. Shot after shot she hit for his kidney until his legs finally gave out.

As his body struggled to overcome the well-placed shots, Daniel Christopher managed to roll on his stomach to avoid a pinfall. Taylor-Made Ms. Arden Taylor grabbed his legs and, without flipping him over, managed to get him into Canadian classic, the Sharpshooter.

Smash cut to Dani Applegate with Felicity Ann Mason. The look on her face tells the prominent moment to occur later tonight. It’s a level of ferocity unlike anything fans have seen of her before.

Dani Applegate: I’m Dani Applegate with tonight’s challenger for the American Title. Felicity, you have bounced around the card considerably over the past few weeks. Care to let the Alpha-faithful know more about what’s on your mind going into this opportunity against America Jackson?

Felicity Ann Mason: I can’t because the truth is, I’ve been here too many times before. You can only want something so much before begins to wear you down, Dani. Addictions. Coping mechanisms. They all switch on that exact moment I see America and the title our management now feels is his by birthright. No more!

Dani Applegate: This is your third attempt at the champion. What’s new in this opportunity because there are fans out there that don’t think you earned this shot.

She grimaces.

Felicity Ann Mason: Those are the same casual observers who believe that I am only a crying girl whose issues keep me from winning in a ring of true talent. And that’s not a man vs. woman world we’re talking about, Dani. No—this is a testament of Jubei and his cronyism taking over a once flourishing company. It’s only a matter of time before we see him make more moves on the roster. I for one will be a slave to his will. Like you, and many others in the locker room, the new GM has overstepped his power and overstayed his alumni welcome.

Dani Applegate: Care to elaborate on that?

Felicity Ann Mason: Jubei thinks he knows what’s best for APW. He doesn’t. You were here for his “golden age” of APW that he rhapsodizes about whenever he speaks on the current affairs of the shows he is managing into a hole. Where does it end? Well… it has to start somewhere, Dani, and I believe the only way to change the culture of APW is to eliminate what’s buttressed it into place.

Dani Applegate: So if you topple the Mount Rushmore of Alpha Pro-Wrestling—if I’m understanding you, Felicity—is the only way to change the prevailing culture keeping stars like yourself out of the limelight?

Felicity slicks her hair back.

Felicity Ann Mason: In time, we will look back at the moment when someone took a stand against the inner circle Jubei surrounds his office of merit—it’s pure merit! There’s no reason anyone like him should be in charge of this roster. Look at the countless number of attacks and mismanaged events leading to countless injuries. Where does it end, Dani? And that starts with me ending the tyranny with its eagle talon dug into the… “American Title” since last summer. I cannot fail because it might be the end of APW as we know and love it. Something I cannot accept. And nor should you, Dani.

Dani Applegate: Well I speak for the entire universe watching tonight in saying that we are behind you 1000%. Anything for the betterment of APW is good in my books. Any parting thoughts?

Felicity smirks.

Felicity Ann Mason: Enjoy your run, American, because the dream is about end once and for all.

Felicity Ann Mason takes off with the confidence of heavyweight boxer after that rousing speech. Dani Applegate is left a bit perplexed, yet also caught by waves of euphoria from that serene promise.

Locked in the Sharpshooter, and with nowhere to turn, the Butcher turns a hidden knife on himself. Each blow a tempting flame to keep Taylor off her game. And to his strange pleasure, DC slips out with the grease of his bloody hand. He then goes for a yakuza kick that gets reversed into a roll up.

Taylor runs with Daniel Christopher on her tail. Their chase continues until she reaches the bottom floor. Daniel trips over pulled out office desks, watching her disappear. He growls before darting back upstairs. He returns to find Scott and Kayby have worked a way to get back up together. They bum rush him into a clumsy clusterfuck of punches and kicks.

The referee after that bizarre three-count previously, stares blank at the pile where no one seems to be on top. And in that moment, he watches the ball flatten out.

He then checks on each fighter only find them past the point of contest.

We cut back to ringside with Remi and Mike Clearwater looking on disgusted at the sanguinary moment of television they just witnessed.

Clearwater: It seems we may have no answer as to who won that bout. If we hear more from the scene, we’ll get you folks back there.

St. Remi: Damn Bro… That was brutal. Have we gone too far?

Clearwater: I don’t know. Also… I don’t think we’re qualified to answer that question. That feels like a decision left to ring to sort out.

St. Remi: Yeah. You’re totally right for once. Like, and I mean it, this one goddamn time.

Clearwater: We’ll see after this.

We return to a backstage area where Masuda Jubei is seen next to Zaigon Carter. Zaigon is trying to shed off the General Manager when Jubei catches up to him now wearing one of his red suits.

Jubei: Don’t walk away from me!

Zaigon stops, realizing that Masuda won’t stop chasing until he gets a word in.

Jubei: Don’t forget what I said.

Zaigon reserves his right to remain silent.

Jubei: I meant it too… there’s no world where Warrens is the answer. The only way to save APW from itself is by destroying what he stands for. Oh yes, I’m aware of what he says about me and my policies. I hear everything, Mr. Carter. Now you can be the one to finally shut this kid up for good.

He turns to the GM with something on the tip of his tongue yet withholds what promised to be a contentious thought.

Jubei: Now get the job done. No prisoners. And if you can, I don’t want him walking out of here.

Zaigon nods but not with affirmation, almost more of an acceptance of the deal. He disappears only to have his spot replace by the fiery disposition of Felicity Ann Mason.

Felicity Ann Mason: Ready to see what you’ve been passing up for weeks?

Jubei: What’s that?

Felicity Ann Mason: Don’t even pretend like you’re not just staring right through me.

Jubei: Well… sounds like it’s your time. Best not miss your minute in the picture.

She walks off but never letting the GM leave her sight. He glares back as we rush back to ringside.

Jessica Kaine: The Following Match is scheduled for 1 fall! … and it will be for the Alpha Pro-Wrestling American Championship!

Fans get into a ruckus as Felicity Ann Mason returns to the stage after breaking through all the barriers of her current status. She takes the stage via Gorilla as her music blasts into a war cry.

Clearwater: That is a new Felicity Ann Mason. Look at the walk. The energy!

St. Remi: You got it bro! And these fans showing support too!

Clearwater: There come the streamers! She’s home once more in Alpha Pro-Wrestling.

St. Remi: And we’re grateful to have her, Mikey.

Clearwater: Roads are not the same for all. That’s never been clearer for Felicity, and what trek it has been for the Rehab Angel. Her story inspires this crowd—as it should—now taking a 1-on-1 against the greatest roadblock of her already storied career in APW.

Felicity takes a corner looking hungry for a chance at the champ as the lights lower.

The lights dim before flashing red, white and blue as American Trash by InnerPartySystem begins to play.

America Jackson makes his way out to the entranceway, holding his title proudly. He soaks in the boos, holding his arms out and embracing them.

America makes his way down the ramp, dismissing any fans who may get mouthy with him. He slides effortless into the ring, waiting for the beat to drop.

I'm just American Trash.

The song cuts.
The lights come up.
The champion stands in the ring.

Referee Jun Takakura takes the belt and shows it Felicity. She then raises it high for the delectation of the adoring audience. And then she hands it off through the ropes before the opening bell.

Clearwater: And here we go—America locks up into a side clutch!

St. Remi: And he just threw Mason to the mat. Power and size heavily in his favor.

Clearwater: And he it goes, a back body drop.

St. Remi: Throwing her around like a rag doll!

Felicity regains to a three point stance, and as if welcoming a free shot at his side, Mason pounces and hits a drop kick. She then rebound off the rope directly into an effortless powerslam by America Jackson.

Clearwater: Barely two!

St. Remi: It might be two, but that was a warning, Mikey. America Jackson painting an awful picture here!

Clearwater: No going to work at an upper guard!

Felicity rolls to one side, letting agility and flexibility maneuver her to bottom ropes for the break. Jackson simply backs up from his knee to a standing position, urging her to attack again.

Clearwater: He’s goading an attack!

St. Remi: Bro, that’s not cockiness. He’s letting the challenger wear herself out of the over-pursuit!

Clearwater: You might be onto something here… wow. And she’s going right for the bait.

America Jackson proves some of his superior cardio by getting into a shoot strike fest with the challenger. Mason throws a few good strikes that never quite rival America’s guard. He eventually counters that into more mat work.

St. Remi: He’s going for a choke. We’ve seen his ground game in the past, bro. One to be fear for sure.

Clearwater: Mason gouges the eyes! Where’d that come from?

St. Remi: Desperation. In the hardest times, only the tough survive, bro!

After that momentary separation, Felicity hits a DDT to floor the Champion onto his back. From there she hits the ropes for inertia. When America returns he gets a full inspection of her rubber sole from the opposite end of a nasty superkick.

Clearwater: He might have whiplash from that!

St. Remi: Bro, no!

Mason goes for the cover, but America has a foot under the ropes.

Clearwater: He may not have seen that one at all. Regardless, the Champion stays alive!

FAM hits the ropes once more the moment America Jackson rises from the canvas. She leaps with a sunset flip, trying for a Canadian Destroyer, but America scouted it miles away so that he turns the move over into his favor.

St. Remi: He saw it coming!

Clearwater: Tombstone from America Jackson!

St. Remi: Oh no… what’s that look on his face—I don’t like this one, bro!

Felicity barely holds herself off the ground when America whips her into the opposing ropes. On the epic rebound, he hits a leaping knee that sees both competitors wipe out way harder than anticipated.

Clearwater: What! Both are backup!

America hits a second albeit less on the mark knee, time flipping FAM over his knee.

Clearwater: I don’t believe it!

St. Remi: Stay down, Felicity. Stay down!

She shakingly rises with every muscle quaking about her person. America Jackson hears the audience cheering for her name when he grabs her temples for a word of encouragement. Felicity tries to push him off as America Jackson gives her his fairest regards.

Clearwater: What’s he doing?

St. Remi: Paying respects.

Clearwater: To whom?

St. Remi: The fallen.

On cue, he rears back and straight-on headbutts FAM so hard she splashes to the mat like a gallon sack of water. America takes a moment to recover before making a final, merciful cover.

Jessica Kaine: Your winner and still Alpha Pro-Wrestling America Champion… America Jackson!

Clearwater: I’m devastated. I know these fans came to see redemption, but this we watch a brutal sport.

St. Remi: Gut wrenching to say the least, but it was a supreme effort by Felicity Ann Mason.

Clearwater: She has nothing to be ashamed of tonight.

St. Remi: Hell yeah. She’s prime to have another showing sooner or later.

Clearwater: Either way, let the streamers flow for the reigning champ whose dominance of that belt is unfathomable at this point. Is there, and I mean truly, is there anyone that can unseat this man.

There’s a stillness over the crowd with the reverb of guitars humming low through the arena. Flooding lights pulse through a few times to a rancor, and from, we see on the stage J-Rock sensation King Gnu.

We return to ringside where St. Remi and Clearwater await the call. Fans can feel the energy growing. They feel a tense albeit rocketing power surge towards the entrance ramp. Once more, Remi and Mike.

Clearwater: Big news! It has just been announced that next week, Alpha Pro-Wrestling will head to Chiba for an ultimate hardcore extravaganza!

St. Remi: Everyone on the roster will be involved. You don’t want to miss it!

Clearwater: And big news as well… This will be the official retirement of the Hardcore Title!

St. Remi: You serious bro?

Clearwater: Dead. Serious… and with that whoever takes home the strap will take it home for life!

St. Remi: Well that’s one thing—but look! Business is picking up bro!

The arena goes dark, before being bathed in dark red light as the opening lyrics from "Dead and Bloated" by Stone Temple Pilots begins.

As the guitar crash hits, the lights shift to a flashing white strobe as out from the back come Zaigon Carter and Dr. Marcel Milgram. Dr. Milgram grabs Carter by the neck, putting their foreheads together saying something to him before letting go while pointing towards the ring. Carter storms towards the ring, as Dr. Milgram follows a step or two behind with an arrogant smile on his face.

"This is a ladder match… and it will be for the Alpha Pro-Wrestling World Championship! … First, the challenger… being accompanied by Dr. Marcel Milgram, weighing in at 240 lbs. He is the Reckoning...Zaigon Carter!"

Carter is standing in the middle of the ring now, bathed in that same eerie red light as earlier. Dr. Milgram doesn't enter the ring but stands in front of his charge with a self-assured look. He then departs the ring while the arena begins to surge again… now with a mixed energy wrought by respect.

Clearwater: This is it! Zaigon asked for the Devil—he even grabbed him by the horns last time out.

St. Remi: Yeah, bro! And now he gets the flames!

Clearwater: Can you believe this intensity?

St. Remi: I don’t want to, bro! This is something else!

The lights go out as the opening notes of "Judas" by Fozzy plays. Very dim lighting hits the entrance revealing Damon Warrens sitting on his throne of thorns on stage. Beside the throne crouches Jaime Cortez with Damon's signature barbed wire baseball bat in hand. Atop his head sits a matching thorny black crown; his mouth covered by his signature frowning half mask. Red face paint streaks leave his pure white eyes like tears of blood. The Nitemare stands up and opens up his merlot red trench coat revealing the Alpha Pro Wrestling World Championship around his waist. The Devil Himself walks stoically to the ring with Jaime walking in front of him loudly singing the praises of the Nitemare to the crowd.

"From San Diego California, by way of Toronto Canada, weighing in at 225 pounds, ... he is THE DEVIL HIMSELF DAMON WARRENS!"

Damon walks to the right side of the ring. Before he can slide onto the apron Jaime sets down the baseball bat and crouches in front of The Devil Himself. Damon pauses before stepping onto his boyfriend's back in order to climb to the ring apron. He turns to face the crowd before slowly entering through the ropes. Damon stands in the center of the ring and holds his arms out in a crucifix like pose. He tilts his head back and basks in the red light before reaching for his crown which he removes before giving it to Jaime for safe keeping. The Nitemare removes his jacket and mask and crouches in the corner. Jaime and Dr. Milgram take their respective corners outside, praying for the best outcome.

Clearwater: Eddie Silk presenting the World Title now to both parties. His inspection complete—it’s time for war!

Sc: And there’s our bell!

Clearwater: Right away a hip toss by Warrens! And another!

St. Remi: Quick counters getting into this match early!

Zaigon finally gets his hands on the speedier Warrens and pins to the mat with a hammerlock. Carter presses until he has the Champion’s chin ground against the mat like a roughshod from a nutmeg spool. He tries to get into a better position, but a defensive series of elbows separates them. Both men recover and grapple once more—neither giving an inch of ground in a test of strength. Zaigon headbutts over his grapple, to which Damon answers with one of his own. The do this until both men are separated.

Clearwater: Silk pulling this one apart before it gets ugly.

Sc: What’s he doing? We’re not on Vegas rules! Let them fight!

Fans lean into the bout when blows favor the Champion, their new yet reluctant favorite. He then goes behind and hits a pretty back suplex that sees Zaigon rolling outside for safety. Before the challenger can make it to Dr. Milgram, however, a lawn dart composed of the angry flesh that is Damon Warrens spears him through the ropes. Front row fans pat their backs as both men use the barricade for support.

St. Remi: This is what I think of when you say Puroresu. I am loving this, bro!

Clearwater: A classic, no doubt, but can they sustain this much punishment. Warrens nearly killed himself on that ill-advised dive through the ropes!

St. Remi: Listen… you take your shots or you don’t. That’s we’re sitting and they’re out there, Mikey-boy.

Zaigon resists a DDT hold before whipping the champion into the farthest steps. Warrens doubles over them while clenching at his midsection.

Clearwater: Sickening! I hope the Champ is all right after that collision!

St. Remi: My gracious, Zaigon! Bro, I think he wants to permanently scar Damon.

Clearwater: Really?

St. Remi: Look in his eyes, my dude… he’s here to end a career.

Damon holds his place with Jaime resisting the urge to attend to his significant other. That’s when Carter pulls the Champion’s arm and drapes it over those same steps. He walks tenderly up to the apron before dropping a rolling knee over the expose limb.

Clearwater: He is out for destruction! What a dangerous man!

St. Remi: You’d think Dr. Milgram might have a word, but I think Marcel is enjoying even more than his charge!

Clearwater: No no! Not that!

Zaigon pulls the same arm and traps it around the turnbuckle so that he stump pull on the vulnerable limb. Silk finally calls for him to stop. At which point his manager orders the ladder to enter the ring. Zaigon nods before tossing in an 8-foot aluminum ladder over the ropes. He slides into the ring, but something sudden pulls him back under the ropes with wrath a hungry Kraken.

Clearwater: He’s got Zaigon by the boot!

St. Remi: One arm and all—The Devil is waking up!

Clearwater: What’s he doing—

St. Remi: Move it bro!

A struggling saito suplex sends Zaigon over the table but not through it. Jaime leaps with joy; meanwhile, Dr. Milgram goes into damage control. He tries to grab that ladder, but Eddie silk finally does his job by pulling back. Marcel retreats knowing he’d been beat that time.

St. Remi: Zaigon is out, bro.

Clearwater: Where’ the champion going… he’s not thinking… no way!

St. Remi: Oh yeah! Time to run!

The commentators and poor Jessica Kaine scatter with Zaigon turning over with energy of an elderly turtle. Damon—only so hampered by his now burning shoulder joint and elbow—gets onto the nearby apron. His eagle eyes scan for the prey and prepare for something brave and also completely suicidal. Zaigon Carter gets into position with his knees on the announcer’s table.

Clearwater: Oh my god! Deus! Ex! Machina!

St. Remi: He just obliterated the table!

Clearwater: What did we just witness?

St. Remi: Desperation comes in all forms, bro! And none more brilliant than when the big belt is on the line!

The corkscrew stunner left Damon pained and sore on his side. Zaigon took a nastier bite from the move, eating the stunner while also crushing their combined weight through the announce table. Both now lie there in a dire state.

Clearwater: Look up there! It’s Jubei!

St. Remi: No no! Stay out of this one bossman! We don’t need your special touch!

Jubei and a replacement official arrive at ringside. He dismisses Silk to the back with a veteran referee unseen in the likes of APW to date.

Clearwater: Silk is refusing to leave—oh no!

St. Remi: He just told off the wrong man!

Jubei sets the ref into a piledriver clutch before throwing the referee through the middle ropes. He then tell this new official to take the ring as he goes over to that scheming Marcel. He and the evil doc get Zaigon back on his feet and help roll him under the ropes. Jaime keeps his distance from the GM but even his temper has limits. Fury overtakes a spurned lover, inspiring him to tackle Dr. Milgram.

Clearwater: Jaime is letting the doctor have it!

St. Remi: Jubei pulling him off. Oh no, not this!

Fans gasp as the GM oversteps his place and prepares his infamous Masuda Driver.

Clearwater: He let Jaime go!

St. Remi: Because the champ is back! Warrens on the warpath—he’s got Dr. Milgram around the waist.

Damon spins the evil doctor around before nailing him with his brand: Justifiable Homicide. Jubei stands by for a moment, letting the Marcel Milgram suffer the Champion’s wrath. That bicycle knee did the trick, but now, he sets his sights on the GM.

Clearwater: These people want it! Hear this capacity crowd!

St. Remi: They want to see Jubei pay for everything he’s done to APW!

Clearwater: I can barely hear myself thinking!

Jubei throws off his jacker and then undoes his tie. Damon, still holding his buggered up shoulder, seethes with murderous intent. The GM rolls up both sleeves… although it seems overly theatric—even for someone to the likes of The Master. Only then does Damon realize what’s happened: Zaigon has since set and halfway ascended the ladder.

He goes towards the ring with Jubei shouting back at him “Any time!”, his arms held firm to both sides. Zaigon reaches the upper steps when he meets the third and deadliest wind of Damon Warrens. They both find remaining reserve and surge up to the top.

Clearwater: Blows!

St. Remi: This is for greatest prize in wrestling! Someone get the cameras on this action!

Clearwater: They will destroy each other before letting that title slip away!

Zaigon gets a lucky break when a misplaced punch allows him get wrist control. From there it’s simply using the ladder as extra hands and leverage, allowing him to trap Warrens in a variation of his dreaded King Crab Lock.

Clearwater: Oh my! This is not what anyone expected? How’s he doing that?

St. Remi: Practice and much more flexible core—but holy shit, bro! Damon is real trouble.

Damon does the last thing in his arsenal when he bites Zaigon. It’s not bad enough to do major damage but gives him enough space to slip out of the hold. He then slips over the top and hits a clutched knee strike. Zaigon slips down three rungs of the ladder.

St. Remi: Desperation at its finest, bro! And Damon getting up to the belt.

Clearwater: He sees daylight!

St. Remi: And what a prize it must be!

Damon pulls up, when a sudden spasm drops his grip. He nearly falls off the ladder—a scary moment that garners a great gasp from the crowd—but catches himself.

Clearwater: Zaigon’s handiwork coming back to bite the Champ.

St. Remi: Nice one, bro.

Clearwater: And now there’s a stalemate. Who can find a way up and unhook the belt?

Zaigon pulls himself to the top. He hammer fists Damon on the top his noggin for good measure. Unfettered, he begins the arduous process of unhooking that heavy, swaying title belt. Only then, moment from earning the gold, Warrens wraps around his torso. Both seem to have an equal grapple of their opponent. By proxy, then also have a collective hold of the APW Title.

Clearwater: Who will hold on?

St. Remi: Is there enough left in their tanks? No one can hold that position for long!

Clearwater: Whoa ho! Zaigon has a lock on the Champion! This is very bad idea!

He wraps the title up like a football and uses all that’s left to drop Damon Warrens with an extra-elevation brainbuster.

St. Remi: End Game!

Clearwater: Zaigon Carter with a blockbuster! This match is over! I think we have a World Champion!

As the dust settles, Zaigon is barely conscious with the title in the bough of his arm. Fan continue to cheer as, despite his best attempt at killing The Devil Himself… Warrens also has a firm hold of that big, audacious title belt. That’s when Jubei’s new ref and the GM convene in the ring. Dr. Milgram tries to pry Damon off the belt, but Jubei staves the frenzied doctor.

Clearwater: What!

St. Remi: Party’s over Jubei! Here comes America Jackson!

Clearwater: The other better half of The American Devils! Fresh off his title defense!

St. Remi: What’s he doing in the ring! It’s already crowded in there!

America slips in between Zaigon and the ruling party, but keeps his eyes on the two fallen fighters. First, there’s his old mentor turned bitter foe. Then is his hellacious tag partner, yet last man in APW he truly respects, in Damon Warrens. Jubei holds everyone back as a mic comes his way.

Jubei: All right… you made a point. And since it seems—

America Jackson rips the title from their collective grip.
Jubei: Think about what you’re doing here. This is not how things must happen.

America holds the title to a random and spurious heaping of cheers. He then throws the belt before GM Jubei while pointing to his chest.

Jubei: Fine. Two wasn’t enough. It seems we missed a critical element after all. But if you are going to join this match… then you’re putting that scrap on the ante too!

Clearwater: Can he do that?

St. Remi: You want to ask him, bro?

Clearwater: Don’t do it AmJAck!

St. Remi: Bro… let the kid pick. This is his fight now.

America mentally weighs this sudden change of events. Fans urge him to say yes with Jubei and the evil doctor bidding to agree to these crass terms. He then gets within inches of Masuda’s mic.

America Jackson: I do!

He exits to his theme with streamers raining across the arena.

Clearwater: Jubei might just have the answer he wants!

St. Remi: Thanks from Hiroshima. We’ll see you all next week live from Chiba!

Clearwater: Good night!
