(The scene opens up and we see that were inside of a local Gym. As we pan around we see Alex Scott on the weightlifting bench. Lying flat on his back and lifting a good couple hundred pounds weights. A few seconds later Alex places the weights on the bar above him to rest the weights. Alex lifts himself up and he is in a sitting up position. Alex who is wearing some black Nike shorts, white Nike trainers and a gold chain around his neck.)
“Last week ya’ll saw it. I picked up a win. Ya’ll saw it last week that not only did I pick up a win but I picked up a win against a monster. I picked up a win that everyone was saying that I will get not just beat but squashed by the monster Apokalypse. But I did the impossible. I stood toe-to-toe with a monster and I slayed him. I defeated him and sent him to hell. That’s what I did last week. And after that win It had earned me a position in a match for World War Wrestling pay-per-view. I have been placed in a three-way match against newcomers Elijah Dixon and Madwomen Szanlinski. But the reward for winning the match is what everyone will be waiting to see.”
(Alex smiles)
“That reward is currently unknown and is being titled as a “Mystery Prize Match” so the reward could be anything. Money, but more importantly a title shot. And that is something that I will be making sure I’ll win.”
(Alex smiles)
“But I know what’s ahead of me and that is two newcomers to APW. Elijah Dixon and Madwomen Szanlinski. First let’s direct my attention to Elijah Dixon. And Elijah I’m gonna give you the respect you deserve for serving our country. Being in the military and being a sniper you must have seen some things to go off the grid for all the years you’ve been missing in Action. It’s only a small stint in another promotion that you’ve held a championship. So why did you go off the grid? Were you suffering with PTSD from being in War? Or did you just realise that inside the ring, you were outclassed in every way. That the only good thing you’ll ever be is a sniper. Not a wrestler. But why the return now? What has clicked inside your head to make you return to the ring? To MY RING? It doesn’t really matter I hope you are confident in your training and skills because if you’re not then you are left behind.”
(Alex pauses)
“You see Elijah I know I am confident in my training and skills. I know that I will always be in the conversation because I put my heart and soul into this business. I’m not using this because of another career has turned its back on me or I couldn’t hack it in the other career. And really I’m sure that is the only reason why you disappeared for all those years because you couldn’t hack it. Not in the military or in civilian life. You Elijah shouldn’t have this chance. You should start from the bottom. But the powers that be are giving you this so enjoy it while it lasts. Enjoy it while your brain turns on again and decides to disappear again and enjoy it while you can because come Monday Night Metal. This is the only spotlight you’ll receive from anyone.”
(Alex pauses)
“And Elijah I’ve just come off a major win and I am going to continue it by winning this match and cementing myself for that “Mystery Prize”.“
(Alex smiles)
“But Elijah Dixon isn’t the only problem. Madwomen Szanlinski is also in it too. And Madwomen you’ve had a good first match against Aaron Blaze last week. Very impressive. You beat your Idol Aaron Blaze in your first match here in APW. You were stunned, Aaron Blaze was stunned. Hell the entire wrestling world was stunned. I guess winning that match against Aaron Blaze has sky rocket your confidence. But I’m here to put a stop to that before it gets into an ego. And Yes I’ve researched you. I’ve researched your family and yes I have been watching Madman Szanlinski. And in this business his nor liked very much.”
(Alex pauses)
“In fact his hated. Maybe you’ll turn like him and be hated too. Or maybe you’ll just be different. You’ve won your first match and you’re hyped but I’m here to tell you that it where it stops right now. You’re not walking into my ring and taking my spot. You’re not gonna’ use your legacy to open doors for you and you are not going to be given a handout. You are going to be like everyone and earn their place. Like I have. I have showed up every week and put my absolute best in everything I do. I wasn’t given a spot in wrestling like you; I was working hard, day in and day out. You was handed the opportunity.”
(Alex pauses)
“But you are not going to be handed this mystery prize match. You are going to be handed my boot on your throat. You may have beaten Aaron Blaze but his spotlight has slowly faded for a while now. From being top of the APW roster to slowly dwindling down the pecking order Aaron Blaze isn’t the person he was. But I am the person I am. A man of his word. I said last week I would beat Apokalypse and I did. I slayed that monster. And now I am saying I’m going to beat you and your legacy. Just know that.”
