Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico will hold the next live Monday Night Metal for Alpha Pro Wrestling. In that match will see a man who was recently seen as part of the Battle Royal to open up the show in what was called the “Penultimate Showdown”. During that match, Aaron eliminated Link Rexx but then was eliminated himself by John Blade. Now that in itself is saying a lot as everywhere that John Blade has been, whether you call him Aaron Blaze or by another name, John has always been a jobber to Aaron’s persona. So while this upset may just look like another man trying to win a match, this goes much deeper when pertaining to the History between these individuals.
Now without dwelling in the past, the “Penultimate Showdown” has come and gone and now the focus is on an upcoming iCup or Internet Championship Tournament. Starting the night off are Eight (8) individuals looking to advance to the finals and the opportunity to hold the iCup Championship. Not to dwell but to take a look at the past of Aaron Blaze, since coming to APW, he had come close to holding a title but it was never possible for him. When it came time for his first glimpse at Gold, it was taken from him due to management wanting to stack the deck against him just days before his Singles match was to be seen on a live Pay-Per-View event. After that happened, Aaron joined with a team that was close to becoming the APW Tag Team Champions but due to his tag team partner wanting to venture out at other options, he was left to take the bullet for the team as a whole.
Now with this Singles run, Aaron looks to make a name for himself despite what everyone may remember about him. That starts with his first match in this tournament against…
Of course this isn’t an easy feat as Szalinski isn’t someone to take lightly. She may be new to APW but when APW signs you, they sign you because you’re an “ALPHA”. You’re looked at as someone who is to be dominant. You’re looked at as an individual and not just a number to fill a roster cap and not someone who can be a glorified jobber to a booker who plays favorites and doesn’t listen to a crowd. How can Aaron prepare for someone he has never faced? The excitement about this tournament is that it’s something new and brings new faces to try their luck in the ring, and it’s unfortunate that Madwoman’s first feat is against a man who has spent more time in Alpha Pro Wrestling than she has.
While before, Aaron didn’t have luck to claim the Hardcore/HorrorKore, but with his same goal of winning a title within APW in front of him, he must put everything he has before into this if he wants to walk away from this tournament with not just a title but the respect of everyone on the roster. Up until now, Aaron has been looked at as a man who will do anything to get the job done but has been lost in the shadows. This tournament is Aaron’s chance to emerge from the shadows and declare himself to APW management that he is not just a name but someone to do exactly what his name says, and that’s set APW a”blaze”.
When it comes to his opponent, Aaron knew that this person coming into this match wasn’t just someone who is called Madwoman but doesn’t live up to the name. No, this woman has a background that some would find interesting if they were students of the business and not some Internet marks who’s watched wrestling since they can remember. No, you’ve got to be a student of this business and put in the work and I’m not just talking about in the ring. You’ve got to know who your opponent is and that’s where we find Aaron as he’s in his hotel room huddled over his laptop as he’s watching various videos online and reading up on his opponent, Madwoman Szalinski.
Sitting at a table in front of his laptop, an APW cameraman walks in and sits in a chair next to him and begins filming the following.

With his face buried into the laptop, Aaron leans back and looks at the camera as it records. Aaron isn’t wearing his typical facepaint as he does in the ring and on-camera, but is dressed in shorts and a Black shirt with a logo on it that looks like that of Albuquerque’s baseball team, but it’s not a clear picture. But playing the typical Heel, Aaron slowly turns his chair to face the camera. As the camera zooms in on his face, which cuts off the logo on his shirt, he begins to speak.
[AB] “Welcome to Albuquerque and welcome to my lair. I’m going over some videos here of my opponent coming up Monday on Metal. You know something, I have to say that Madwoman Szalinski, she’s a tough female. I’m almost sorry I have to mess up that pretty face of hers but luckily for her, she wears a mask to cover it up. First let’s go with the name, Madwoman. What makes you mad? Is it because you couldn’t cut it as an actual ballerina? Maybe the tutu wasn’t for you? Or was it that you found out Sailor Moon isn’t really liked by everyone and that’s who you idolize yourself after?
Now I’m not going to criticize you because I don’t know you but that doesn’t mean that I’m going to take you lightly either. I read that you come from a large wrestling family and that’s good to know because after I eliminate you from this tournament, you’ll have shoulders to cry on and they’ll be there to pick you up off the mat after I stomp you into it. Being a superhero doesn’t always mean you get your guy but you managed to get this guy as your first match in this tournament, but this will also be your last match in this tournament.
You can bring your Magical Girl fighting style all you want but it won’t help you. You’re going to have to get your hands dirty if you want to make it in APW and I’m speaking firsthand. Maybe Laurel Ann Hardy can give you some tips and tell you that your ballerina experience won’t be able to help you. I’ll send you back to Manchester school of dance or whatever they call it and it’s said that you’re similar to that of a Yoga teacher? Just for you, after I humiliate you, I’ll personally purchase you all the DDP Yoga tapes to get you back into shape to maybe have a chance in the ring with me or anyone else who’s been in APW longer than to just sign a contract.
I give you credit though that you’ve trained since you were Fourteen (14), but that still won’t help you. By the looks of you, that wasn’t really long ago. What’s going to be your downfall is that you consider yourself a superhero. I like the fact that you rush into a fight but why? Maybe it’s because of your size and being small you were picked on? Or maybe it’s because you decided you wanted to be in this business that’s not built for a lot of women, so you decided to change that? Maybe you’re that superhero that tells all the little girls that I’m not big or strong but I’m living my dream and doing what I want, or I’m living my family legacy since I come from a big family who maybe has some wrestling names somewhere in my family tree.
I’m not one to crush dreams but this dream of you thinking you’re going to win this match? It’s just that, a dream, because the reality is that I’m nothing like what you see on the outside. You look at me now without the makeup and say he’s a laid-back guy who likes to have fun. That’s now but when that bell rings and that face-paint goes on, I bring Death with me and it’ll be your soul that I take to Hell with me. You’ll be my first victim in this tournament but you won’t be my last. But being the superhero that you are, you can then sit back and watch as I burn through this tournament and become a champion while you still hold the title of superhero.
What I will tell you to expect in this match is real simple. Expect to be broken, expect to bleed, expect to lose because all of that and more is exactly what your reality will be. This isn’t a fairytale ending for you but will be just your ending. After I humiliate you in front of the world and show that you’re no superhero but some masked girl wanting to live a fantasy, I’m going to go on and show to everyone that has ever doubted me in this company, that I’m not the same Aaron that you remember.
Remember something, I’m the man that came into this company and stood up to the toughest man this company thought they had to offer. I’m the man that took something out of the hands of management and booked a match when everybody said that my career would’ve been in jeopardy and that match, it ended up being the match of the night and the highest rated spot on the show. So bring your experience or what you’ve probably done in other companies and lay it at my feet and I’ll step all over it because that means nothing here. This is APW, not some small pond you might’ve been in before, you swam across the pond to get here and now you’re going to stand nose to my stomach and think you’re something?
Now that I covered that little side note, let me get to the rest of this little tournament that management seems to put in front of me again to yet again hold me back from fulfilling my dreams around here. I jumped through hoops for this place time and time again and what do I get? A pat on the back? No! A verbal "way-to-go"? No! I get nothing except come back next show and we might have you booked. I show up here early and leave late because that's what a good employee does. I'm tired of playing good employee, got it?
You’re stepping in Isotopes Park so are you ready to step up to the plate? Are you ready to swing for the fence? This isn’t softball and this isn’t baseball but this is professional wrestling so don’t bring your little princess ballerina shoes when you step in the ring with me I’ll walk into your room, light a match and burn your little princess house to the ground. And once I’m done with you, then it’s on to the next victim in this tournament until I get what I want and that comes at World War Wrestling”.
The camera slowly zooms out to reveal what is on Aaron’s shirt. As stated before in previous Heel fashion, his shirt is revealed as having the Albuquerque baseball team logo and the Alpha Pro Wrestling logo.
