The shot opens on Giggles and Ringmaster Isaac Barnum standing in the middle of The Basement™.
Good evening ladies and gentlemen. As you know, my name is Ringmaster Isaac Barnum. And this!
Barnum gestures to the lanky clown.
-is the Alpha Pro Wrestling Junior Heavyweight champion, Your Favorite Clown and Mine… Giggles!
This week is Ultimate Showdown, the biggest event of the APW calendar year! And thus, the biggest opportunity for everyone involved. You see, my dear clown, can and will become the world heavyweight champion. A delightfully scary thought for everyone involved.
A slightly sinister chuckle escapes Barnum.
But! We have a lot to talk about and not a lot of time to do it. So allow me to get started with Giggles’ first opponent for the night, one Von Vagabond.
Not much is known of this man, a transient, a wanderer. Your surname is truly fitting, Mr. Vagabond. But now, your life’s journey has brought you to the feet of my dominant jester.
As Barnum’s speech slowly fades out, the shot zooms in on Giggles’ distant, blank smile as the shot dissolves to white.
When we return, the image is of a bright and colorful landscape with The Lovin’ Spoonful’s “Do You Believe in Magic” playing from an unknown source. A few moments later, Giggles skips into the shot, the Junior Heavyweight title fastened tightly around his waist, the first time it ever has or ever will fit properly.
Giggles skips over to a small gathering of people holding hands and smiling in a circle. The four are the Bloom Twins, Tina and Timothy, along with Vinny! who’s mask is upturned in a wide smile, and Ringmaster Isaac Barnum, no longer needing his cane for support. They all turn to Giggles and call out with glee
Hello, Giggles! We love you!!!
Giggles laughs and waves frantically at his bestest friends five ever.
Giggles loves you too!!!!!!
The four good friends continue to spin as they sing Ring Around the Rosie. Giggles… well, giggles as he skips on across the lush green landscape.
The next stop for the joyful clown man is over to a man walking alone over the rolling green hills with a small bindle slung over his shoulder.
Hello friend!!!
The man turns to face Giggles. He smiles as soon as he realizes who it is. The two hug tightly and hop around in place.
I cannot wait to play with Giggles!
Giggles cannot wait to play with you!!!
Yay!!!
Giggles steps away from his friend for a moment. He wiggles his finger and points at an empty piece of land in the lush green hills. The ground shakes and opens up, allowing a giant, beautiful house to rise up.
Woah!

Giggles’ bestest friend drops his stick and skips over to his brand new home. Giggles waves frantically.

The door closes behind Giggles’ friend as he enters. When it closes, the house is immediately swallowed back up by the ground. Giggles freezes for a moment and stares in shock.

The clown shrugs and continues on his adventure.
Giggles continues on until he comes across something that makes him stop. The bright blue sky darkens with dark grey. The music cuts off completely and is replaced by a low, ominous violin. The camera pans over to a thin screen door, hanging wide open and swinging violently in the rapidly increasing wind. Above the entrance is a sign above it that, in blood red text, reads:
The camera pans back to Giggles, who is staring at the door with a slight sense of worry on his smiling face. He side-eyes the viewer a bit before shrugging and continuing his skipping. The skies instantly clear up and the music resumes, just as loud as before.
Giggles comes across another group of people. These people he doesn’t know. All of these people wear title belts just like his around their waists. They are all arguing with each other, saying really mean words to one another. Giggles gasps loudly, but not loud enough to get the group to stop their war of words.
The clown thinks for a second. He suddenly sprouts a big bushy beard and strokes it in thought for a moment. A lightbulb turns on over his head before bursting. He takes off running, leaving his beard behind.
Giggles runs up to and hugs the closest person to him, a Very Big man, who pauses his tirade on another screaming man, probably something about his size, to look at the strange clown. But Giggles remains undeterred, he wraps his tendril-like arms tighter around the Very Big man Finally, the big man relents and smiles, reciprocating the hug in kind.
Giggles skips over to the next hug recipients. A pair of nice boys with matching title belts. They look at him with righteous anger but Giggles is undeterred! He wraps his impossibly long arms around the nice gentlemen and squeezes. The men struggle for a moment, trying to use a fancy tag team move on the clown but the love of Giggles is just too strong. Finally, they calm down and laugh along with him.
But then Giggles notices something that makes him a sad Giggles... A person without a pretty belt! They look so sad!
Giggles runs over and hugs the poor beltless individual, but they still look unhappy! What to do??
Oh!
Giggles unclasps his own belt, rips in half like a piece of paper, and gives half to the poor friend. The friend looks up and smiles at the happy clown. They smile and finally reciprocated the hug! Yay! Friendship!
The clown waves and continues on his way. His new friend hugs his new half-a-title. Meanwhile, Giggles’ belt regenerates back to a full title! Yay!
But then… A big bad scary man stomps up behind Giggles! He roars and stares down at the happy clown, with fury in his eyes. He had a big belt around his waist, bigger and shinier than all the others.
Giggles stared in awe for a moment. How to go about handling this…
Oh!
Giggles hugged one of the monster’s legs! The monster tries to shake the clown off but he won’t budge! It kicks harder and harder but Giggles doesn’t move!
The monster roars in frustration before beginning to shake. It shakes violently for a moment before exploding into a giant blast of confetti! The title belt drops right into Giggles’ hands, who lifts it up proudly!
Everyone in the land surrounds the happy clown man. They clap and cheer excitedly. Giggles just laughs and bows as if he was on stage. A pair of doves fly up to him, take the new, shiny belt from his hands and fastens it snuggly around his waist.

We love you too, giggles! The doves sing as they fly off. Giggles makes his way to a door labeled "exit". He waves once more to all of his friends before walking through.
...And so, Mr. Vagabond, I regret to inform you that your life’s journey has not brought you to another simpleton opponent like the Mr. Shorg you faced last week. You are facing a monster, a beast like you have never seen before. I preach the same sermon every week but no one ever takes heed. Break the cycle, Von. Be the one who finally takes my clown seriously. You most certainly will not win, but at least you can walk away with your head high and say that you gave it your best effort.
The path you find yourself on is a lonely one, Von. It will not bring you fame and fortune, it will not bring you to championship gold. No, instead, it has brought you to the slaughter at the hands of Giggles. Is that right, Giggles?
Giggles suddenly snaps back to reality. He looks around for a moment and catches Barnum looking at him expectantly.
Oh! Yes, Ringmaster Isaac! Oh yes indeedy!
Barnum chuckles. The quiet Basement™ is suddenly filled with the dull clang of the Junior Heavyweight title sliding down Giggles’ legs and crashing to the floor.
There we have it, ladies and gentlemen. And so, Mr. Vagabond, as well as the rest of the Ultimate Showdown field, I hope you have been paying attention to what Giggles has done thus far in APW. Because if you have remained blissfully ignorant to what this carnivorous carny has done to every opponent he has faced thus far, then I can personally guarantee the night will end with the lovely Ms. Jessica Kaine proudly announcing, “And new Alpha Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight champion… your Junior Heavyweight champion… Giggles!”
