(The scene opens up overlooking the bright lights of Las Vegas. As we pan around we see that were inside of a hotel room with the balcony windows wide open to allowed a perfect view of the city. As we view of the room. We see that Alex Scott is staying in the room. Alex who is sitting at the round coffee table, relaxing in a well-tailored suit)
“It’s a big weekend for me this weekend. It’s a big weekend in general for APW. As APW presents Alpha Showdown here in Las Vegas. And in Vegas everyone knows one luck of turn can go your way. And it’s gonna’ go my way.”
(Alex smiles)
“You see I’m in Penultimate Showdown match with nineteen other competitors. Some are worth my time and some are not. But at the end of it all the last six remaining will receive title shots. Which means this match is more important than just any thrown together rumble match. This match is important because of the prize at the end. Those prizes will be what everyone will have their eyes set. But not all will reach the final six. Not all will reach the last run of the marathon and not everyone will show their desire to win.”
(Alex pauses)
“For some of us it’s a huge opportunity and for some of us were already showing why we deserve it. Let’s direct my attention to some of my opponents. First we have is Adelaide Ainsworth or as she likes to be called just Addy. Who I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting however she is aligned with some right bitches over in Action Wrestling. But I cannot take away her ability in the ring, Addy has won some major championships in her own right, and that makes her a dangerous competitor. But on the other hand Addy is now making it on her own here in APW and she’s just a small fish in a big pond. In fact she’s not even life fish, Addy is chum. Mixed up meat and thrown into the waters and Addy despite some of your alliances with some over in Action Wrestling what happens in this match is nothing personal. It’s just business. You see I have been on a mission to get my career back on track and win ning this match will do just that. Being the last six will even be an opportunity. That is why I am not just determined to go the distance but to be the last man standing. No matter what. No matter what happens, I will walk out with an opportunity. Mark my words.”
(Alex pauses)
“Next we have is Dave Van Dam who has also some minor accomplishment to be proud of from being in other companies. But that was then Dave Van Dam that was then and now is the time you either make it or break it. And another thing. You’re not immortal. Whoever gave you that nickname must have been on crack. And if you gave yourself that nickname then what was you smoking’? Nether less from what I’ve seen of you, your best bet is finding some backyard wrestling scene rather than being in APW.”
(Alex smiles)
“Next we have is Andrew Barnes and this guy believes that this match is a walk in the park for him. That he’ll be the last one standing and he’ll receive the top prize and that’s becoming a challenger for the World Heavyweight championship. But you’re not. Not even a little close to being the guy who walks away with THAT opportunity. Now I do like you Andrew Barnes because of your no-nonsense talk and skill. Just like me, I don’t pussyfoot around with people and I don’t hold back. I say what comes to mind straight away. Unlike most of the competitors in this match who do. You and I are alike in that way Andrew Barnes but believe me I will not hold back because of my respect for you. I will not hold back because I somewhat like you, I will not hold back because I think you and I could make a good team somewhere down the line. I see what’s in front of me and I know it’s GOLD. I will be the last six remaining. I will be the last remaining and I will beat you in this match.”
(Al ex pauses)
“Then we have is Aaron Blaze and Aaron Blaze has been around since day one of APW just like me. But the difference while I was fighting for the Junior Heavyweight championship in the early days Aaron Blaze was in the spotlight with a faction called Bloodline. And now Aaron Blaze is just like everyone else. Aaron Blaze you’re at an equal footing because now you’re on your own. Now you have no one backing g you if you get into trouble and now you gonna have to realise that you’re not that good. Your alliance with the Bloodline has held back whatever talents you have and has subdued your thinking. Well I’m gonna subdue you too. We’ve never met before in the ring Aaron Blaze but I know I can take you. I know I can beat you and I know I’ll leave you left lying in the ring.”
(Alex pauses)
“And too anyone else I may have missed. Just k now that it wasn’t personal. But know that when we face-off in the ring, you’ll get the same treatment as everyone else I’ve mentioned. An ass-kicking’ and you’ll walk the lonely isle to loserville while I stand in the middle of the ring with my arms raised high as winner. Just know that.”
