Another week, another set of great RPs, folks! Here are my favorite lines! Keep up the good work!
"I was a dead man walking but now I am a reborn man living!"
Nick Cannon, I'm here! - It is a nice poetically flipped line that gives a good justification to the nickname "Fallen Angel".
"You don’t get to say anything! I know what these traps are for, and I’m not some middling man gagging on blue pills, Ms. Bertrand. You want something; I want something, so we make a deal."
Jubei Masuda, Mastering of Masterdom - The whole rant is great but this line really sets it up. It is almost a cliche to Jubei as he cynically accepts what he has done while Rachel is trying to spin it a different way. Really gives a sense of domination and control that makes it feel very icky (in a good way).
"The hell you just call me? You don’t talk to me like that. You don’t know me. You don’t know me. You don’t. I’ll come up there, suck your dick, slit your throat and ride you till the light fades from your eyes. Watch the blood squirt from your neck with every bounce."
Sandy Coconutz, Lil Red Ridin Hood - That's a helluva threat right there.
You, young lady, need to learn respect. Every person that steps in the ring with you deserves your respect simply because they are standing across from you. I don’t care if they’ve been here 10 days or 10 years. I don’t care if you don’t like them, and trust me, I don’t like anybody. Still, I show my opponents respect.
Dean Wolf, Stop and Start - This is something that I very rarely see in shoots. A call for respect in a game where the most popular strategy is to tear people down. It is nice and it is pretty baby-face.
"Then, I think of the lives that hold me near and dear to their hearts. I don’t do this rehabilitation for me. I do it for them and for that I can’t fail. I have to succeed and that means pinning you this week on Metal and inching closer to the Junior Heavyweight Title. That means throwing caution to the wind and doing anything, and everything, in my power to make sure I defeat you this week."
Lucy Sixx, A-ROCK-ALYPSE : Chapter 3 : Who's Afraid of the Wolf? - Motivation is so important. Just wanting to win is easy but to create a reason that you can't fail is difficult. It creates that dynamic of risk and a giant fall if it were to ever happen. This line is ultimate!
"I looked into his eyes and I saw the rising desperation every time he thought he had me put away; every time he thought I had him put away! I heard his breathing. I felt the heat of his skin. I heard the groans. I broke him down! I almost won. That match could have gone either way and it set the standard for what a Monday Night Metal Main Event is supposed to look like!"
Smith Jones, "Contentious" versus Steve Osbourne on Monday Night Metal - Again, I am not choosing this one because it mentions me lol. It is always really hard to come back from a loss especially with a character so dedicated to victory but this is an excellent way to do it. It doesn't try to wipe away the loss but instead creates a story out of it. It raises the bar as high as it can without denying anything.
"I told you about how Jubei operates, but he is just as dangerous physically as he is mentally. He is a hell of a striker and he is a literal submission machine… So Rick, just like with Nyeo you're gonna have to keep your head on a swivel and Quinn you have to do everything to keep the momentum going. Keep Jubei second guessing himself and you can out witt him, but you can't give him an inch or he'll take a mile. He is every bit as vicious as you have heard, but he has taken plenty of falls in his time to prove that he isn't as invincible as he thinks he is."
The Canadian Connection, The Cracker Barrel and The Canucks... - I choose this line because I couldn't just copy and paste every example of what I liked here. There is this thing about e-fedding - I am not sure what it is - that makes it awkward to actually talk ring tactics. But, for once it feels so natural and fluid and strong through this whole RP and it is something I am really impressed by.
"Since I'm on tv I count, right? Now imagine if I was a champion. Then I would be able to fuck much hotter girls then you. "
Steven Osbourne, How a Real Champ Runs Game, Osbourne always makes me laugh with how obliviously rude he is. Comedy is a majorly underrated tool.
"I don't know whos signin the talent this month but come on .... we need quality workers and not trash off the streets for peanuts and a flop in a dive ."
The Road Dawg, short and sweet - BOOM! Management is roasted once again by The Road Dawg! Won't be able to recover from this one!
And as far as those Molson chugging, poutine eating, Doug Ford electing, universal healthcare having, maple syrup drinking, indigenous people oppressing, zamboni driving, moose riding, Tim Horton loving, chucklefucks from da great white nort?
Trent Page, Just a Clip -
