After his return to APW programming to face ERIK DEAN, the match had been looked at as "decent" and "not what the fans expected", according to some in APW's upper echelon. It was also said that when Aaron hit a Flipping Piledriver, that the match took a weird turn. Was it that the turn came when the move was delivered or was it because of how the match ended in a No Contest instead of a Double Count-Out? Or was it the fact that APOKALYPSE made his presence felt when he decided to attack both Aaron and Erik and rule the match the way it did? Whatever the reason behind this writer's account or the answer to the questions, the fact remains that it happened and some kind of retribution or retaliation is in order. But maybe because of the damage that was done to Aaron's body from his "weird turn" or the attack from APOKALYPSE, Aaron isn't scheduled to be on the card for this live Metal as it comes Minneapolis, Minnesota and a sold out Met Center.
Now of course after an attack like that, the typical thing for a promoter to do is to have the talent evaluated by a medical professional, and that's exactly what happened as Aaron was tested backstage after his match. The "awkward landing" that happened in the match is what the concern was about but after the results were exhumed and the end result was a bruised hip, the week of rest would be enough time for him to return to action with no recurring effect from his injury. But now fast forward hours later and the new card for Monday Night Metal is posted and nowhere on the card is it posted that ERIK DEAN nor Aaron is booked. Could this be because of the last altercation between these two were result in injury? Or is it because that while these two are not booked, the man who caused the match to be thrown out and who caused the "devastating blows" was booked? In Aaron's mind, that's all the more reason he should be booked.
So what does Aaron do now that he's not booked but recovery is apparent and well, there's an obvious rematch or as I said earlier, retribution or retaliation in order? He calls ahead to the venue where APW METAL is being held and gets himself a ringside seat. His intentions? To watch the match that APOKALYPSE is in which being against a man who Aaron knows far too well, JOHN BLADE. Now be it that John has been Aaron's personal jobber in every company the two have been in, one would think that Aaron would wish John well in his match against the man who attacked him. Sitting ringside would give Aaron an up-close and personal look at APOKALYPSE to study him for when he does return to the ring, say in Two (2) weeks time? Maybe it's a stretch but could a highly unlikely bond between Aaron and John happen on this night to pull off not just a win over APOKALYPSE but the tables are turned and instead of One man attacking Two, it's Two men attacking One?
Of course the results of that would possibly be repercussions from management on Aaron's part, seeing how he's a APW talent but yet he's also a fan who purchased a ticket to sit ringside and watch like the other fans. So maybe all he can do is sit back and watch as the match happens but play what happened to him in his mind and then also look forward to what's going to happen down the road or what he is hoping that will happen down the road. Whatever it is, it's just one of the many cogs in the wheel of APW that makes each week exciting to watch. And speaking of watching, be sure to watch APW's Social Media as Aaron has been silent far too long. In the premier episode of "The Cutting Blade", a new interactive video to where the fans speak directly to Aaron via multimedia platforms, he will be speaking on his thoughts on the upcoming APW Monday Night Metal card and the results of that card. So until next time....
