Hello all,
As you know APW is slated to take two weeks off. Now I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to enjoy your break but I wanted to present you with an opportunity to have a little fun during those two weeks. So here is the idea I came up with.
My guy, Eli, will be hosting a two week long tournament. But this isn't a normal tournament,,, This is going to be the Eli Beazley's First Ever Annual Lucha Bowl Showdown (or something like that). APW's best luchadores will be competing for the Lucha Bowl Championship!!!!
But I need some luchadores to compete which is where you come in!

The last piece of this is the most confusing so I hope I can explain it clearly. Here goes. I think it would be pretty epic if our characters were the ones under the lucha masks and it was a Masked Singer type of situation where the lucha's identity was revealed when their time in the tournament was over. For example if El Hijo de Atomico became the fan favorite, ran the table and won the Lucha Championship it would be pretty epic if he slowly pulled off his mask to reveal his true identity as Jason Ryan only for the fans to instantly shit on him.
I understand that some of us take our characters pretty seriously and wouldn't want to have them break kayfabe like that, so if you want to participate but don't want your character revealed in front of the fans it can definitely remain a mystery.

- If you sign up you will be randomly assigned a lucha name and pic base. You will then assume that identity and roleplay as your luchadore for the duration of the tournament. You get to decide every other aspect of your character and can write in any style you want.
- Now, in true Lucha fashion, I would love all of our identities to remain anonymous, at least until the end of the tourney. So if you participate I will private message you the character's name and pic base. You will work on your roleplay as normal but instead of you posting it you will send it to me in a private message and I will post it so that no one knows who is who.
- Roleplaying will be done with normal APW word limits. Winners will be decided by popular vote. I will post a poll for each match and we can vote for it
- I would like to follow the same schedule that we do for Metal with the deadline being Sunday night and the show will be up Monday Night/Tuesday Morning (The show will not be full results but instead just summaries of each match.)
