May 30th, 2021: Kingdom Come II
We pick up today in a packed 02 Arena. The fans are going absolutely wild as Eli Beazley is in the middle of the ring. His nondescript opponent is staggering in front of him. Eli shoots in.
Remi: BREEZY BOMB!!!
1…………….2…………….3!!!!!!
Clearwater: WE HAVE A NEW APW CHAMPION! ELI BEAZLEY
Jessica Kaine: Ladies and gentlemen your winner and NEW APW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION,....EEEEEELLLLLIIIII BBBBEEEEAAAZZZLLLLEEEYYY!!!!
The crowd is going absolutely wild as Eli is on his knees looking out at the fans. The ref enters the shot at hands Eli the APW Championship. He immediately falls ontop of it with the raw emotion we usually see when new champs are crowned. Eli climbs to his feet and runs over to the turnbuckle, climbs up and holds the APW championship high in the air as the Breeziacs shower him with love. The camera stays on the emotional Beazley for a few seconds before fading to black and we see the following words appear on the screen.
June 27th, 2041: APW Hall of Fame Ceremony
The scene comes back to life with a shot of an older looking Brad Pitt standing behind a wood podium. The camera pans to show a fancy ballroom with rows and rows of seats lined up. Everyone is dressed in fancy dresses and tuxedos. We go back to Troy as he begins talking to crowd.
Brad Pitt: And the moment that you have all been waiting for. A moment 21 years in the making. We are about to induct the most decorated wrestler in APW history into the Hall of Fame. The 20 time APW World Champ. The man who still holds the record for the longest reign as Jr. Heavyweight Champ. The only man in the world to win more ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ awards than me… Ladies and Gentlemen… “Breezy” Eli Beazley
The cameras cut to a shot of Eli Beazley. He kisses an absolutely stunning woman we can only assume is the future Mrs. Beazley. Several people around Eli give him hugs and shake his hands. The crowd gives him a roaring standing ovation and Eli makes his way up to the podium. He has to wait through several “ELI, ELI, ELI” chants. Finally, the applause has settled down enough for Eli to actually talk.
Eli Beazley: BREEZIACS…
The camera fades to black again.
November 2052: Election Night in the United States
The shot cuts to a middle-aged Hispanic newscaster seated behind a desk in a very futuristic newsroom. Every screen is holographic and one that she can move my slightly moving her fingers. She turns to face the cameras.
Carmen Ybarra: Folks, CZN is ready to call it. The 50th president of the United States of America is Eli Beazley. He won with 88% of the popular vote. His opponent, Baron Trump, has conceded. We have a new president! Let’s cut to a feed from his celebratory speech.
We do indeed cut to a shot of now 60+-year-old Eli who still doesn’t appear to have aged at all in these flash-forwards. He kisses a different woman from the last flash-forward. And then moves to the podium. Where he once again has to wait for the crowd to quiet down.
Eli Beazley: Today is a great day for the United States of America and an even better day for BREEZY NATION!!!
Fade to black.
May 30th, 2020:
When the cameras come back to life we are looking at a shot of 2020 Eli Beazley. Eli has on a dark blue suit with a very bright pink dress shirt on under it. His Jr. Heavyweight Championship is tightened fastly around his waist.
“Breeziacs, welcome back to 2020! We are two days away from Kingdom Come. This is another huge match for us. But this one is… well, it just feels a little different. Not only am I no longer on American soil but I know full well that Tsukiko presents the biggest obstacle I have faced. I’m not going to downplay it Breezy Nation. She is a warrior and a legit threat to everything we have built!“
Slight pause from the champ.
“Tsukiko is a two time Jr. Heavyweight Champion. Before ol’ Beazley came along many considered her to be the best champ to wear this belt. And I know that she wants this belt back real bad. I also know that she and I have our eyes on the future and a loss here sets us back. You never want to lose a match but a loss here for either one of us could be devastating. But Breeziacs, I am not going into this match worried about losing. I’m not worried about that. Because at the end of the day moments like this are building blocks. Moments like this, and how you react to them, determine the course of the rest of your life.”
Another pause.
“Win, lose or draw at Kingdom Come I will use this moment to build towards my future. A future that you saw just a few seconds ago. Look, I don’t know if I will actually be named Sexiest Man in America or if I will run for president but I think both are viable options at this point! But I do know that I will be APW Champion before long. Whether it is next year at Kingdom Come, after that, or even sooner, I will hold that belt. And matches like the one this Sunday help prepare for that moment.
“Taking on a formidable opponent like Tsukiko helps prepare me for the moment I step in the ring with Damon Warrens or whoever holds the belt when I get my shot. These are building block matches. You take the experience of matches like this and you grow. You get better. Win, lose or draw I will be better off from wrestling Tsukiko at Kingdom Come. This match will help prepare me for life at the top of APW. There won’t be any easy nights at the top and that match at Kingdom Come ain’t going to be easy either.
Eli nods his head a few times.
“Breeziacs, this is the biggest challenge we have faced yet! Without a doubt. Harry Watts gave us a run for our money at Gods of War. And you all know that I am a fan of the Wrestler Formerly Known as Flop. I like that dude and think he is very talented. Former champ Alex Scott pushes us. But Tsukiko… whew. She is a very tough opponent to face. There is a tenacity about her that I haven’t seen in a challenger. You guys know her, hell, you love her too. She can take a beating and just keep bringing it. She is hard to beat and she has the Moon Breaker. She has finished so many opponents with that left knee of hers. Moves like that are so hard to prepare for. They come out of nowhere and can end the match in an instant.”
Eli snaps his fingers.
“The end to this reign could come with a Moon Breaker tomorrow night. But it could have happened with a million different moves we have encountered since winning this belt back in February. This match can also end with a stunning Breey Bomb or well-placed elbow drop from the top rope. But I do know that the better wrestler will win at Kingdom Come. The better wrestler will Jr. Heavyweight Champion. And I think y’all know who that is going to be! I mean you only may get 9 out of 10 dentists that agree on the effectiveness of toothpaste but you get 100 percent agreement amongst the Breeziacs on who is going to win at Kingdom Come. I’ve been the better wrestlers against everyone I have wrestled for this belt and that doesn’t change this Sunday night. Tsukiko is great. She is a fierce competitor. But she’s no Breezy in the ring and she most certainly has will not have Breezy Nation behind her on Sunday Night. Breeziacs, let’s get it done on Sunday and continue this majestic run as champ! Breezy Out!”
Eli throws up a peace sign and walks out of camera view. Slowly the screen fades to black.
