Dearest Alpha Pro Wrestling,
Eli "Longest Reigning Jr. Heavyweight Champion in APW History" Beazley here! As we all know there is no Monday Night Metal this week. After Gods of Wrestling, we take a small break from our schedule before we kick things off again. Now, I know that tonight will be difficult for some. It pains me to think about a Monday night passing without me standing in front of the legions of Breeziacs that pack those arenas week in and week out. But worry not because I am here with a note of encouragement to help both you and I through this trying time!
I would like to kick off this note of encouragement with a quote from one of my favorite bands, The Avett Brothers. They sing the line "The day will come, the sun will rise, and we'll be fine." Breeziacs, we will be fine! With everything going on in the world right now and the loss of Metal this week it can be hard to remember that. But we will be fine. The sun will shine and Eli Beazley will once again be on your Netflix screens next Monday night!
But with that said, I don't want you to spend the next seven days staring at your phone or your TV longing for APW's return. Trust me, it does not make it happen faster. Believe me, I know what it is like. I HATE waiting for things. Grandma Beazley used to say that I had the patience of a gopher. Now I am not entirely sure what that means. But I do know that I am a pretty impatient person. When I am waiting for a package from Amazon to be delivered, I often find myself just staring out the window waiting for that delivery van to pull around the corner. But that does not make the time go by any faster. Over time I have developed a list of activities that help make those hours pass just a little faster. So below I pass on this glorious list to you. Use it wisely!
Eli Beazley's List of Great Time Passers:
1. Exercise Your Body: I prefer to do situps, pushups, lunges, etc. but you can do any exercise you want. If you like to swim then go to the local swimmin' hole and dive right in. You prefer the incredibly strenuous act of Bowling? Head on over to your favorite alley and knock some pins down. Exercise is huge!
2. Cook It Up: This is huge. You've got to eat. Instead of dropping a Poptart in the toaster or heading to Chipotle head to your kitchen and whip something up yourself. I have been making a lot of pasta dishes lately. I have made spaghetti, spaghetti with meatballs, and spaghetti casserole all within the last few days. Cooking is a great way to pass the time. If you're not a great chef, fear not I will be releasing a cookbook later this fall! Pre-orer now on Amazon.
3. Online Debates: This is simple. Join a social media platform. I prefer Facebook for this. Like a few political pages and then check the comment section. There are bound to be a few people in the comment sections that you post things you strongly disagree with. Respond back and next thing you know 17 hours have passed by and you are still arguing with Doug from Toledo. Speaking of Doug from FUC*&*& Toledo... I hope you stub your toe or hit your funny bone REALLY hard! Okay, back to the list.
4. Netflix It Up: Did you know that Netflix doesn't just show APW events? They actually have some other great stuff. I highly recommend Ozark, Tiger King and Cheer. You can also watch The Office for the 678th time like I do or you can check out the G.O.A.T Breaking Bad. Netflix is probably the greatest invention since Al Gore invented the internet. Oh and thank you Netflix for sponsoring this letter!
5. Find a New Hobby: Have you been meaning to learn guitar? Maybe you have been meaning to learn a new language. Now is the perfect time to find a new hobby. During this week off from APW I have been focusing on two hobbies. I have been learning Pig Latin and making my own beef jerky. I mean... I have been making my own eefbay erkyjay!
6. Watch Old Eli Beazley Matches: Simple. Just do it.
7. Troll Jason Ryan on Twitter: It's fun for the whole family!
There it is! Seven ways to pass the next week before the APW crew and I return to Monday nights! Hang in there, Breeziacs! We can get through this! And in just 7 days we will be together again!!!
Hugs and Kisses (If you want them... if you don't... no worries. I'm not about to turn into creepy Uncle Biden on you!)
With Love (Again.. if you want it!)
