Character Name: Dakota Joseph Franco(DJF)
Nickname: The Lost Soul
Hometown: Brownsville, Texas
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 185 pounds
Alignment: Face
In-Ring Style: (Multiple styles) High flying-submission-striking
Bio: DJF had it rough, mostly his entire life. His namesake speaks for itself... Dakota Joseph Franco. Now, the name itself, doesn't seem that appalling. Unless you break it down. DJF's Birth Mother wanted to give him a "cool" name. She was only 17 when got pregnant. The so-called Birth Father, the sperm donor, was 19. The origins of the other parts of Dakota's name came from the birth father. He was a war buff. A world leader fanatic. Especially if they were dictators. Joseph came from Stalin. Franco was from Francisco Franco, a General who was a dictator that ruled Spain from 1939 to 1975. DJF came from a difficult birth. Birth Mother, wasn't particular "aware" during her pregnancy.
She didn't do too well in school. She hung out with a "certain crowd" of girls. Her nickname was "Trouble. She was a "party girl". By the time The Original Family(Birth Mother, Grandmother, Brother and Older Brother) moved into the beach community of Cove Haven in 1988. Birth Mother and Brother had an Older Brother that they don't talk bout much. He was a year older than Brother. The Family made a promise never to mention his name again. After High School, things never seemed to go back the way it was, for Older Brother. Birth Mother's partying ways was an issue during the pregnancy, to a point. Some were concerned. She drank, at times, heavily(to a point), she smoked cigarettes and weed(up to a point). Birth Father did the same.
Him, being popular, handsome became a problem, eventually. Birth Mother's father, came down from Kansas. Her parents legally divorced in 1988, but separated in 1983. Now, at the night of the birth, it looked that the soon to be mother was about to 'burst" and since her father, THEN current Sergeant Major(now retired), a recruiter for the National Guard, for the State of Kansas. He is also a Marine. Did one tour of Vietnam in 1969. They decided to go to to MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. But, Birth Mother had to use the restroom, before they left. She thought, at THAT moment she was going into labor. It was a false alarm. They rush her across the Bay. Across one, of the bridges, towards the Base where she could give birth, but...
The umbilical cord was wrapped around his little fragile neck. CODE BLUE!! The doctors and nurses had to resuscitate him. That's where she decided to name him Dakota. The first few months, between the happy new parents were fine. They were living in a beach like community. Both sides of the families were helping. The Birth Mother had her Brother to move in. He had two jobs. The Birth Father had a best friend to move in. They had a three bedroom place near the beach. Everyone, that WERE their age, knew everyone. The Birth Mother's Brother worked from 8am till 10pm. Didn't get home till 11pm. Never knew about the abuse of his sister, from her boyfriend.. She had to move out, with the baby who was now six months old. They moved closer, like a block and a half away from their mother(Grandmother). Cute two bedroom place. Problems were happening. The new mom was partying more and becoming a half ass mother.
The Grandmother was pitching in more, along with the Grandmother's boyfriend. When Dakota was 6 to 8 months old, Brother came home from work and Dakota was standing up in his crib screaming, shaking; almost convulsing. Diaper sagging. Crib soaked. The birth mother in bed with a stranger. A different guy, from the night before. Brother's room a wreck. It's been gone through... Again. Being a good young dude, Brother checks the fridge for bottles. Of course, no decent bottle. All day supply spoiled. Brother had to make new bottles and then warm up a new one. While that happens he goes and picks up an obvious neglected Dakota. Whose eyes light up when he sees his uncle. Brother picks him up and gently places him on the changing table and take off his onesie. Diaper is taken off and tossed towards the birth mother, soaking, nearly dripping wet. Dakota butt is red and raw.
Brother, with tears in his eyes, takes ointment and gently rubs on the area where it's infected. The baby screams. Powder is shaken on the infected area and new fresh diaper is placed on and a new onesie is placed on Dakota. Brother grabs the dirty sheets from the crib and also toss them at the drunk so-called mother. New sheets were placed in the crib. Brother goes gets the new made bottle, sits down and proceeds to feed his nephew. Dakot's nose is beet red. Brother looks at Dakota, holding him firmly. They bond, as Dakota grips the left index finger, while Brother continues to feed Dakota. Within 10 minutes Dakota relaxes and falls back asleep. The following day, the brother had the day off and tells the Grandmother what had happened... AGAIN. He had enough, time to take action!! The baby needs to be protected!! Dakota needs a new home. The Grandmother and her boyfriend takes him.
Brother gets a new place to live and proceeds to try to live his life. Eventually, things seemed to be fine, until 1992 when the so-called Birth Mother and her new boyfriend and his friends causing problems in the neighborhood. The landlord didn't like that. So, they had to move. Dakota development was on point, slightly. But, it seemed that Dakota was socially behind, even for a toddler. Birth Mother was more interested in partying with her friends than being the poster child of being a necessary mother. The family moved further north into the county. Brother's health has a small, but brief hiccup. Still helped the family move. Dakota, now in pre-school. At night, starting to have "night terrors" having issues with getting along with others. Eyes would not focus on those who would talk to him. Had problems with staying still in church.
The pediatrician of Dakota suggested that both The Grandmother and Birth Mother to take Dakota to the "children's side" of Mental Coast Health Center, which he was there till he turned 18 and then he went to the adult side. Dakota was diagnosed with high-functioning autism. Also with extreme OCD. Impulse-excitability. When Dakota was 5, Birth Mother "flipped mode" decided she didn't want to play "mommy' anymore. It was The Grandmother and Brother who was taking care of him anyways. Her newest boyfriend got her "friendly" to her new TOY... crack. But, it was two years prior that Dakota's Grandmother collapsed and found out her precursor to her future. One of her valves, in her heart stopped working and her lungs. She was a heavy smoker, During the late 70's she worked in a fiberglass plant. With Birth Mother gone, the Grandmother needed Brother more than ever. Dakota called him "Uncle-brother-daddy" because of all the duties he had to fulfill.
Despite not being able to function regularly at school, he was pushed a proper pace. He did well, with proper medications. We did amazing at some things, but did poorly at others. Socially poorly. But, he did have friends that DJF shared interests with. Computers, mechanics and hand to hand combat, was his strong skills. Dakota is a quiet storm walking. He keeps to himself. His grandmother officially adopted him when he was 10. The sad part, of the story the grandmother began to get addicted to her painkillers that she received after her collapse in'93, but it wasn't until 1999, that it got real bad. In 2003 she started rehab, but her health started to decline. In the span of two years, between 2003-2004 she had two heart attacks. The grandmother eventually passed away sometime in 2008. Her sister, the aunt eventually began to help Dakota, although he was in his late teens. Now, in his late twenties. Grandmother gone. Brother missing... Older Brother his mind trapped within himself.... DJF Dakota Joseph Franco is a LOST SOUL.
Attire: Black trunks. Black elbow pads. Black knee pads. Black boots. Black MMA style gloves. Black leather jacket
Theme song: Pneuma by Tool
Pic Base: Finn Balor
Entrance: Pneuma by Tool begins to play. Blue flares shoot up, at an angle, at each corner of the stage. A sound of a rattle snake rings out. That happens several times. Lighter blue strobes flashes. Bongos begin to play with a light guitar, for a several minutes, before two electric guitars slowly come in... DJF slides out, slightly jumping/ hopping...
Clearwater: It seems that we are being graced by a newcomer.
St. Remi: Yes, I'm being told this is his APW debut.
We are spirit bound to this flesh
we go round one foot nailed down
but bound down to reach out and beyond this flesh
become pneuma.
Slowly bouncing, arms extended out, spinning around. Once the opportunity arises, DJF recognizes the fans and pops them with an elbow nudge. Some of the crowd clapping and cheering. Dakota Joseph Franco acknowledges back at the crowd by howling/ screaming back, cupping his hands around his mouth.
Jessica Kaine: Coming to the ring... From Brownsville, Texas. Weighing in at one hundred eighty five pounds.... He is THE LOST SOUL.... DEEEEEEEE JAAAAAAY EEEEEEF!!! DAAAAKOOOOOTAAAA JOOOOSEEEPH FRAAAAAAAAANCOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Child, wake up
Child, release the light
Wake up now
Child, wake up
Child, release the light
Wake up now, child
DJF get to the ringside area, running up to the ring apron, sliding onto the ring apron. Standing up quickly. With his back to the ropes, hooking his arms over the ropes, DJF faces the crowd. The Lost Soul start to rock back and forth, before entering the ring. DJF races to a corner, climbing to the second turnbuckle, thrusting out his arms, arching his back, roaring out.
Remi: Looks like this newcomer has no problem gelling and connecting with this crowd!!
Clearwater: It doesn't seem like it!!
DJF takes that extra step to the top turnbuckle. Standing on top, Dakota points to the cheering and screaming crowd before leaping back, arching back...
Clearwater: Whoa!
Remi: Did you see that?!
Dakota Joseph jumped off the top turnbuckle with two complete full rotation twists into flips before landing on both feet. Some, of the crowd, along with both commentators were caught off guard by that... "performance".
Favorite moves: palm strikes, body strikes(with feet/legs), dropkicks((flying or standing)[to either head, body or legs], arm drags, hip tosses, clotheslines, forearm smashes, uppercut smashes, ALL variations of suplexes, different types of slams, different styles of drivers
Signature move(s): Stalling suplex, after a ten count count slams them hard.... Flipping/twisting legdrop off the ropes, after walking on the ropes, from the corners.... Dakota flies toward the ropes bounces off the second rope, turns around and catches the opponent with a bulldog. Picks up opponent, slams them hard with a German suplex, but keeps a hold of the opponent, bringing the opponent by around again, while bringing them back up let's go, into a cutter.
Finisher(s): DJF- Picks up opponent into a driver position, double underhooks both arms, twisting while going down towards the mat
Bridge of Francisco- Bridging figure four
NOTES: DJF is a high-flyer and a climber. Uses the ropes ALL THE TIME!! Will walk on the ropes any chance he gets. Very acrobatic. While he gets his opponent on the mat, DJF will take every opportunity to take advantage to expose weaknesses in every joint in hands, wrists, elbows, knees, ankles, fingers. DJF is very strategic in his mat work. VERY meticulous in breaking down a body. The opponent's body will be achy and sore. That's before the grappling. The pain came from the meticulous submission detail.
Manager (optional): Determined later
