Before I begin, let's take a look back and what happened at the last Monday Night Metal.
{Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama} {Monday Night Metal 04-06-20}
Replaying the most recent live episode of the Monday Night Metal program in his mind, it was Aaron who played “middle-man” during the match between Red Riot and Jason Ryan. Aaron had stated that he would “call the match down the middle”. Those who watched the match live or tuned in, saw what happened. For those who like reading the results after the fact, here you go.

Now those of you who did see it, let’s get to what happened after that match. As Aaron walked through the curtain and backstage, groggy still from *SPOILER* being knocked out during the final moments of the match *SPOILER*, but he had a slight smile/smirk on his face. As he stumbles and knocks over a few things on nearby tables, he’s out loud asking with a confused look on his face...
“I’m not suspended? I’m not suspended”?
Some backstage personnel ran to his attention and as they helped him down the hallway, he kept repeating the same question as he was taken to The Bloodline locker room. *SPOILER* Another referee came in and made the pin fall for Red Riot to win the match and walk away $250K richer. At least Aaron didn’t get involved so that meant that he wasn’t suspended. Which leads into this next week for Monday Night Metal.

Last week was a double loss for Aaron as he not only lost against Jaice Wilds, but he also lost his money of $250K during his job as special referee. This week, this is also a double for him as he faces El Muertos again. This time it won’t be in a tag match like it was back at BattleCade, and so the saying of “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me” has some play here. At that event, Muertos pinned Aaron to win for his team and at tonight’s event, Aaron aims to prove a different outcome when they meet one-on-one.
Speaking of BattleCade, does anyone find it funny how this week’s show is at the “Landers” Center? Okay, enough of the alien conspiracy stuff but since we’re on the subject, should I go the “alien” route here? You know, the whole political side with “illegal” and Green cards? Or should I just talk about how El Muertos means The Dead? So now that makes two people Aaron has fought that sounds like they came out of The Walking Dead (which isn’t the same since a few good characters died), but we’re both being played on Netflix. Oh yeah, back to the match.
This man or “what used to be a man” is said to be a “vigilante”? So he’s a better version of Batman? I’m sorry but the original was better with Michael Keaton although the effects have gotten better since. He’s a masked wrestler from Mexico so maybe he’s related to Nacho Libre? Now that was a funny movie just like this match is going to be funny. I already said that this isn’t the first time Nacho...I mean Bat...I’ll get it, hold on, Muertos. There we go, Muertos and Aaron have met. Maybe he had a radioactive spider bite him at BattleCade, after the show or something. That’s the only way that this time, El Chappo is going to get the same ending he did before. The only thing that’s going to be “safe” for El Muertos is the name of the city, Safehaven, that APW is in or is it?
El Muertos might think that this city will be his “Safehaven”, but in reality, it will be his Purgatory. The man who embodies the Mexican tradition of celebrating the Day of the Dead will meet a man who is dead inside. Ten Thousand (10,000) people will witness Aaron return the favor that he has been waiting for, the minute that Muertos pinned him at BattleCade. Although it is just the two, the battle had been fought and...well, the war is far from over. Tonight, the war continues. As The Bloodline looks to retaliate from their not so good of showing over the last few weeks, Aaron is waiting backstage to tell all APW and its fans just what’s on his mind.
{Location: Backstage][Landers Center]
Leaning against a steel metal beam that helps support and is used to hold the APW Promo Area, Aaron was about to give a promo on his match later in the night against El Muertos. Now, Aaron is dressed to fight. The difference this time with his usual wrestling gear, is that the name “Muerto” written with paint into his already half-painted face, the camera begins to record as Aaron is leaning against the metal support of the Promo Area. A Black and White filter is used but once the Red light of the camera cuts on, Aaron begins to speak.
“Here I am. I know you all thought you wouldn’t see me but here I am. I played Red Riot and he found out that I am the master of the mind games. The match between him and the leader of The Bloodline proved that I will do anything to make something happen. And here I am now, not suspended, but I stand here ready to fight. Those who thought I was done, there's a reason I've been doing this for so long. This isn't a game. It's all about strategy and well, The Bloodline is not just our name but it is our legacy, proving to everyone that this business is in our blood. Just like everyone who gets into this Sport, you have to know how to play to that strategy. Now, this Sport is in our blood and The Bloodline embodies what we all do. The Bloodline was created to fight back against those who dare stand in the way of seeing this Sport become a democracy. It's about proving that the blood that runs in our veins is this Sport. We're sick of the backstage politics and favoritism that's been going on and is something that will not stand. The cheap gimmicks and unrealistic scenarios are used all the time in this business and it’s pathetic. It's time someone took this business back to what it was origionally was and that's why we are here. It’s real simple, this isn’t a game but those who want to live off their gimmick and pretend that they are something they’re not, I say knock on my door and I will answer. I beg you to knock and I'll be glad to show you that whatever gimmick you think you have to help get you over is nothing and prove that this Bloodline runs deeper than you think.
Now with that said, le't s talk about something to prove and this brings me to you. El Muertos, see Muertos, me and you are a lot alike. We both love the taste of victory no matter how it comes in it’s shape or size. Maybe you paint your face because you feel the guilt of the souls that you take or maybe you’ve seen it done and thought that was a cool look, I really don’t care. The only thing that matters to me is when that bell rings. I don’t care if it’s a squash match or I go the limit with someone in that ring, this business is my life. I know I'll get knocked down and win a few and lose a few, but whoever I'm in there with knows they've been in a fight. And that’s why I joined The Bloodline because I never back down from a fight. If I have to pick my own fight or if someone wants to take the chance of picking one, I'm going to take that chance. So now ask yourself what’s going to happen now that I have you one-on-one? You think that just because you won at BattleCade, that you took my soul? I told you why you paint your face but I paint mine because I have no soul.
I have no soul because I have no conscience. I have no filter and I have no regards for my body and that is why I put it on the line every week. They say you always remember your first love and if you're a wrestler, you say wrestling is your first love but for me, that's different. Pain and inflicting pain is mine. Maybe you know pain because you walk around calling yourself this character of some Mexican holiday but today isn't a holiday. Today is like every other week, a live Metal in front of the world. But think of Metal tonight being what will happen to you after tonight when I send you to the hospital. Maybe you walk out on your own or they have to carry you out and they have to do surgery and place metal in your body because of what I do to you. Then that's something that you will remember. But you know something, at BattleCade, remember when you pinned me in that tag match? I wonder something, did you not think that I would come looking for you? Now before you answer that, let me remind you of what happened when I got here. I lost my debut match against Cray Mitchell. Remember him? So what happened? I lost and I came back and beat the hell out of him because of what he did but more importantly, it's because I said that's what I was going to do and I did it. So since History repeats itself and you pinned me, it’s only fitting to keep in that tradition of History and keep that saying going.
Now, how can we look at this? History on The Day of the Dead is a time of celebration and remembering. So when you step in the ring with me, that’s your moment to celebrate that you get to stand in the ring with me. Let's face it, you've done it before so you can celebrate that we meet again. But more than that, you get to remember what happened the last time we were in the ring together. See, I knew there was a smile there. But that’s not it. No, see, I said it’s a time of celebration and remembering but nobody thinks of that word ‘time’ that's in there too. Everyone looks at that word and thinks that they ‘have plenty of time’ or they ‘waste time’, but that ‘time’ that we have, it has a beginning and an end and tonight, your time ends. There’s a time for everything. There’s a time to repent, a time to forgive, a time for things to happen but this time is simply that your time has just run out. This is your time to reflect on your mistake. Oh yeah, you had one. You might not remember so let me help you. See, your mistake is that you failed. You may have won the match but your mistake was making sure the job wasn’t done. You probably have the mentality that when you win a match, it's over. No, that's where wrestlers and fighters are different and while I am a wrestler, I'm also a fighter.
When that bell rings and whoever wins is celebrating, that's not a victory but a defeat because their opponent is still moving. If you want to really win then you make sure they get carried off on a stretcher because that's what separates men and well, characters like you. The Day of the Dead didn't teach you anything? What is dead to you? Is it being unconcious or not breathing? I'll help you with that one when I leave you not breathing after our match. Oh sorry, did I say match? Anytime anyone steps in the ring with me, it's a fight because that's what I do. I'm not just fighting for myself but I'm also fighting for The Bloodline because that's part of who I am. No, that IS who I am. But I can't forget about what happened at BattleCade because that is what fuels this fire for tonight. I commend you on your win but at what did it cost you? What will it cost you? Tonight, you find out that everyone pays for what they've done. Tonight, how you pay is with your blood. The time for The Bloodline to reign begins its rise again and it’s time for you and everyone to realize that. The line between us and them has been drawn and the question is, do you fight on your own or do you fight for APW? Regardless of where you stand, you will fall where you stand because you face someone who does not just stand for The Bloodline, but someone who stands for redemption. Tonight we battle as painted faces but when it is done, and your paint and blood is smeared all over that ring, you will understand that we are here to not just win at all costs...but to destroy anyone and everyone who stands in our way of what we want to accomplish.
You carry the load of two but stand as one. I look at you and I see my need for a recurring redemption but I also see my need to showcase what The Bloodline can and will do. So, please, stand in my way tonight and when it’s all over, Muertos, you’ll learn that you’re not the embodiment of the Day of the Dead but you’re just another victim on this road to redemption. Now it’s a tradition in hunting that your first kill, you pour the blood of your kill over you as a right of passage. The Bloodline is also partaking in a tradition of our own which follows along those lines. So that will be the case tonight as I bludgeon you and cover that ring with your lifesource. As I stand over you and watch you bleed out, it will be a statement to all watching that The Bloodline is out for blood. When I bend down and take your blood and smear it across my chest, that will be the statement to everyone watching, just what will happen to them that dare cross us. Their blood will be on our hands and tonight, your blood will be on mine. You will become the martyr and the example to everyone of what waits for them as they won't be thrown into a den of hungry lions., but the lions will roam APW and devour anyone and everyone in our way.
So Muertos, prepare yourself for what awaits because it will be over quickly but your suffering, yes your suffering, it will forever continue. The feeling of remembrance will take over and you will realize what you have done and you may beg and plead, but I won't have any remorse. No, the calmness of what I inflict will bring me that joy and pleasant feeling. My remembrance of that night where you stood over my body and claimed that you have won, it has haunted me since. As I have said, your mistake was not looking down because if you have, you would’ve seen I was still breathing. Tonight, I make sure you don't have that luxury. That when I look down at you, while you’re gasping for breath and choking on your own blood, you look at me and I see that fear in your eyes. Your Day of the Dead begins at that moment and ends when your eyes roll in the back of your head and you take your last breath. There is no going back to fix what was done but tonight, I stand over you and take my redemption. I will reach down and take your blood and wipe it across my body to show that this battle was your last and where I once lost, I have now won.
So tread lightly from now until the time for after tonight, you will tread no more. Your Day of the Dead won't be a celebration. It won't even be a remembrance. No, it will be just your reflection of the moment that all of your candles and rituals that you thought could help you, have failed you. Those who watch will remember this day because this is the day that they all witnessed the recurring redemption that was when I spoke truth to a man who only claimed to be something he's not. El Muertos, tonight when you do your pre-match ritual of meditation or whatever you do, pray using your candles or whatever Black Magic stuff you do or try to do, think of this. When you step into that ring and think that you can play mind games with me or think that you have the upperhand, remember that wherever there's one Bloodline, the rest are not far behind".
The camera starts to static as The Bloodline logo appears on the screen just as Aaron lowers his head from looking at the camera. The camera feed cuts off as Aaron casually walks away from the APW interview area. It's just about time for his match against El Muertos, so he walks towards the entrance way leading into the arena and stops and stares at the monitor showing the currently happening match with The Bloodline's own (Soul Reaver) versus Smith Jones going on.
