The signature orange and blue pyro illuminates the Capital One arena, lighting up the faces of everybody in camera range. Ace of Spades gets the audience's blood pumping as the camera focuses on the commentary booth.

Mike Clearwater: Welcome, everybody, to the first edition of Monday Night Metal! I'm Mike Clearwater, alongside my broadcast partner, Jonah St. Remington, and have we got a show for you tonight?

St. Remi: That we do, Mikey Boy! That we do! Fresh off the heels of his main event win last week, Braxton Locus finds himself once again in that slot, this time against yet another formidable opponent in Smith Jones.

Mike Clearwater: Yes, Smith Jones managed to knock off not one, but two other competitors last week. But can he topple Braxton Locus here tonight?

During their conversation, Ace of Spades shifts into We Own It as Damian Kaine starts off the show once again, this time flanked by one of APW's co-commissioners in Jason Zurra.

Mike Clearwater: And on that note, it seems our General Manager has yet another announcement to make!

St. Remi: Oh, god, kill me now. If I have to see this man anymore than normal, I want to tear my own eyes out.

DK and Zurra find their way to the center of the ring, Damian holding a microphone.

Damian Kaine: WELCOME! TO MONDAY... NIGHT... METAL!

The crowd pops hard, nearly overwhelming the camera's audio recording.

Damian Kaine: How're we doing tonight, Chicago? God, I feel like I haven't been here in forever! Okay, so, like last week, I just wanted to remind you guys. Five weeks. July 21st, APW will host its first ever Pay Per View, Alpha Showdown, Live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada! Come witness history as the first APW World Heavyweight Champion is crowned!

Jason steps up to DK and whispers in his ear. Damian stops and stammers for a minute.

Damian Kaine: You.. You wanna repeat that?

This time, Jason asks for a microphone.

Jason Zurra: we have an intruder in the building. My team are looking into it.

Damian Kaine: Okay. This is our first show, make sure it's...

Jason Zurra: I'll take care of it.

Damian Kaine: Good.

Damian looks up at the skybox, wondering.

A moment later, Damian leaves the ring without addressing the fans as Jason takes over the MC duties.

Jason Zurra: Uh... I guess I'm making that announcement then... Ladies and gentlemen, the Alpha Showdown will now hold 4 championship matches! Not only will the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion be crowned, but every championship will leave the MGM Grand around a superstars waist! Five weeks away, let's let the anticipation build! I'll see you all next week!

Jason Zurra hands the microphone off to Jessica Kaine as he exits the ring.

Mike Clearwater: Big news from Commissioner Zurra, we will crown ALL NEW CHAMPIONS in five weeks time!

Lazer Blazer vs. Tom Ambrose

Mike Clearwater: Our first Monday Night Metal is here and officially in the record books.

St. Remi: That’s right, Mike. And we’ve got big matches from top to bottom. But most have been waiting to see one debut tonight… that being Lazer Johnson. A man whose sole purpose is honorable competition, good vibes and wholesome fun for everyone. I almost vomited there... excuse me.

Mike Clearwater: You probably need mouthwash after saying that.

St. Remi: Anyone got a lozenge?

"Final Countdown" hits the PA as Lazer Johnson Runs out onto the stage and down the ramp, high fiving and embracing the fans and especially the kids. Lazer jogs up the steps, and jumps over the top rope and rushes towards the opposite corner and cheers on his loving fans.

St. Remi: I love the smell of Europe in the morning.

Mike Clearwater: Have we ever seen someone enter the arena that fast?

St. Remi: He was light lightning!

Mike Clearwater: No… like a laser!

St. Remi: Wasting no time, here comes his equally qualified opponent. A violent man with a bone to pick with the world.

Mike Clearwater: So your type of guy?

St. Remi: You know it, bro.

Tom Ambrose walks briskly down the ramp, staring straight at the ring, dead set on inflicting pain. He slides under the bottom rope and runs over to the corner, hitting his head multiple times off of the top turnbuckle. A snarl on his face, he staggers back to the centre of the ring and collapses to his knees, breathing heavily.

Mike Clearwater: We apologize for some audio feedback. Most of you at home did not hear our lovely announcer, Jessica Kaine.

St. Remi: A shame because she’s got a good voice!

Ding! Ding!

St. Remi: Ambrose out of the gates hard with a knee strike. And another, trying to wear that living Yikes Pencil down.

Mike Clearwater: I’d prefer a trapper keeper, but only one of us actually went to school. DDT from Tom!

Mike Clearwater: Lazer kicks out and goes for the ropes. He looks winded already.

St. Remi: Big boot to the pack of Zebra Stripe… but he misses the spinning elbow! Laser back to his feet like a wounded gazelle—nearly flipped out of his boots on that dropkick!

Mike Clearwater: Ambrose rolls away to avoid the pin. He counters with a dropkick of his own.

St. Remi: Front dropkick takes out the froggy legs of Johnson. Cover but Lazer slips out before the ref can even make the count.
Mike Clearwater: They separate now… both men getting a breather. It’s obvious this ’80s fever dream has them captivated, but can he steal the show as he already has their hearts?

St. Remi: Let’s see how it goes, Mikey. Lazer is demanding a traditional grapple.

Mike Clearwater: Ambrose to accept—no! He just kneed Lazer harder than before. What poor sportsmanship.

St. Remi: You have to win… and running bull dog from “the Vengeful One” dropping Lazer hard.

Mike Clearwater: Lazer scuttling to the ropes… he ducks a clothesline… leapfrogs Ambrose on the second rebound… he leapfrogs again—No! Pop-up powerbomb!

St. Remi: You’re screwing around too much!

Mike Clearwater: Wow! Laser escapes at the last second. Ambrose wants him dead. You can see it in his eyes.

St. Remi: Another dangerous man given full range of this arena. What is this sport coming to?

Mike Clearwater: He’s locking in something here… he’s got the leg—is that stretch muffler?

St. Remi: Think again! Lazer catches him off guard hitting a strangely beautiful tornado head scissors.

Mike Clearwater: Lazer hobbles to the corner… standing tornado DDT!

Mike Clearwater: Ambrose powers out—Lazer runs up top!

St. Remi: What unbridled energy! What’s he gonna do, bro? Never pegged him as a highflyer.

Mike Clearwater: He’s got this arena in his palm. Now he waits for Ambrose to rise.

St. Remi: He wants something big, Mike. And these fans want the fireworks he’s known for.

Mike Clearwater: Abrose looks up—and he catches the crossbody attempt!

St. Remi: Elbows and kicks cannot free Lazer from that vengeful grip… sunset roll up!

Mike Clearwater: Ambrose escapes disaster again! But these fans have fallen swoon for Lazer Johnson!

St. Remi: Pew-Pew!

Mike Clearwater: Both men have come to this point. It’s do or die time, and these fans get a front row seat.

St. Remi: Can it be? Ambrose charging headfirst with no regard for human life!

Mike Clearwater: Spear—did you see that counter!

St. Remi: Lazer just leapfrogged his opponent with his legs spread like an Olympic hurdler!

Mike Clearwater: Tom Ambrose turns around… Double Barrel! What a massive kick!

St. Remi: Lazer bangs off the ropes—giving finger guns at the same time!

Mike Clearwater: Lazer Special!!!

Mike Clearwater: His name goes into the record books, and we are better people for it.

Smith Jones Segment

‘Waiting For The End’ by Linkin Park plays as all of the arena lights blast to full white. As Smith Jones steps out onto the stage, all of the spotlights flood to him and the rest of the arena is plunged into darkness. He is wearing a shiny white robe with sparkly silver trim. Jones stands at the top of the ramp and looks out across the undulating sea of humanity that has packed Capital One Arena and begun to chant his name.

CROWD: SMITTY!!! SMITTY!!! SMITTY!!! SMITTY!!! SMITTY!!! SMITTY!!!

Smith strides confidently down to ringside. He mounts the steel ring steps and wipes his feet respectfully on the apron before he parts the ropes and takes centre. Turning his back to camera, Jones raises his right fist straight up in the air above himself. He looks up at it. Smith closes his eyes. He opens his hand and spreads his fingers out wide with a smile. He then spreads his arms out to his side showing off the sparkly silver “1’m” elegantly embroidered across his shoulders. He slowly turns to face camera as he looks into the handheld camera, he takes a deep breath, and he speaks.

SMITH JONES: Later on tonight, I will step into the ring with the very man I myself would have chosen to face in a battle for supremacy in what will go down as the historic good ol’ days of Alpha Pro Wrestling. Look at me, Braxton Locus. You too, Sammy. All of you unfortunate stiffs suffering the misfortune of inhabiting Braxton’s stuffy skull. Look at me. Notice how comfortable I am standing right here dead centre in this ring. The reason why is simple. There is nothing that could ever possibly happen to me on this swath of canvas that I cannot overcome. That’s why I can plant myself right here in the middle of the ring like it’s my own living room. This is where I live. That’s not good news for anyone who gets scheduled to stand across the boards from me. I live here. I LIVE here, Braxton. This is home.

Jones steps forward and leans casually on the rope in front of him. He glares deep into the main camera lens with absolute focus and intensity.

SMITH JONES: Your Main Event this evening will feature the apt dismantling of an overconfident blowhard at the hands of the incredible Smith Jones. Tonight, I pull the Man in the Moon out of the heavens and drown him in an ocean of Braxton’s tender tears. Doubt me? Watch me.

Fade to commercial.

Tuxedo Max vs. Haruna Sakazaki

Mike Clearwater: Welcome back to Monday Night Metal, and if you're just joining us, you missed a wonderful match by the ever exciting Lazer Blazer in his APW debut!

St. Remi: PEW PEW! Man that guy is great! So much positivity!

Mike Clearwater: And speaking of positivity, we've got another great match lined up-

Clearwater stops in his tracks, listening intently to his headset.

Mike Clearwater: Uh.. Scratch that, it seems we have a some sort of commotion backstage. Can we get cameras back there? Please?

It takes a moment, but a camera feed soon shifts, though it doesn't help much. The only view is a lot of smoke, but several grunts and groans of pain are heard. We see ASU member ZiiX jump into the smoke, seemingly trying to break up a brawl, to no avail as he gets sent flying out of view of the camera.

Now, we can hear metal hitting flesh and other objects, and as the smoke starts to clear up, we hear a voice off screen.

Kevin Bishop: HEY! Get away from them!

As the smoke clears more, we see the silhouette of a large man dash out of sight as bead trainer Kevin Bishop comes to the aid of the fallen, who are also now visible. A total of 8 casualties, we see both competitors in the next match-up, Tuxedo Max and Haruna Sakazaki, as well as Richard Dweck, two referees, and three Alpha Security Unit members all laid out. Bishop calls for help as the feed cuts back to the commentary team.

St. Remi: What the hell was that?! Did you see the size of that shadow?

Michael Clearwater: I- I don't know... Uh... Let's cut to commercial... NOW!

Tsukiko vs Richard Dweck

Mike Clearwater: Well folks... if you're just joining us, we're coming back from a rather disturbing situation. Three men have been taken down at the hands of an unknown assailant, as well as referee Spanky O'Shaughnessey.

St. Remi: Let me tell you, Mikey, there's been a lot of things in my life that have given me the creeps, and that entire assault ranks just below being chased around by a damn hellhound. I don't understand, who did this?

Mike Clearwater: Your guess is as good as mine. But what we do know is two of the men attacked were scheduled to compete just a few minutes ago, and the other is scheduled to compete in this upcoming match!

As if on cue, The lights in the arena dim down as all attention became focused on the entrance; there the titantron lit up with an image of a moon brilliantly shining bright as the slow melodic beginning of Alddious' "We Are" began to play throughout the building. That would carry on till the song picked up at the 27-second mark. When it did the moon on the titantron shattered into hundreds of pieces before shifting to a flurry of clips of a woman hitting various high-risk moves and bone shattering filled the screen one after another. That would carry on until the heavenly vocals began to echo throughout the arena, and when they did the camera (and the attention of the crowd) shifted to a woman wearing a fox mask standing center stage. All the while white and silver tinted light flashed seamlessly and endlessly.

I suffered one day.

I cried one night

Crouching alone looking

like a pupa glowing

Hoping one day to

find something true

I keep on flying high

I won't let you regret

As the vocals continued, the masked woman would hop in place and shake out her hands. That is, until the first of three "We Are"s of the song hit. When they did, the woman stopped hopping and quickly grabbed onto the mask she wore in dramatic fashion. When the second "We Are" hi, the woman titled her mask covered face down. Finally, after the third "We Are", the woman abruptly tilted her head back up and slid the mask off of her face to reveal herself as The Shimmering Kitsune {Kirameku Kitsune} Tsukiko! With her identity now revealed, the crowd loudly began to cheer their support for the young Japanese woman! However, despite the ruckus, a nearby camera managed to pick Tsukiko's voice as she shouted out in excitement over the overwhelming support.

Tsukiko:

"Takakautame ni jikan!"

{Time to Fight!}

Jessica Kaine:

"From Kyoto, Japan. The Shimmering Kitsune, Tsuuuuuuuuukiiiiiiiiiikoooooooo!"

With the ring announcer making her official introduction, Tsukiko placed the fox mask back on her head (only it was angled off to the side) and began the walk down to the ring. Along the way, she went about interacting with various members of the crowd. The gentle slapping of hands in the universal high-five. he occasional fist bump. A hug or two. All of these happened along the way as she zig-zagged from one side of the ramp to the other until she reached the ringside area. It was there that she began walking to the steps nearest to her, but came to a stop before she ascended. After taking a moment to look out at the sold-out crowd, Tsukiko slid the fox mask off of her head and turned to those that were in the front row that was closest to her position. It was then that she stepped over to the barricade and handed off her mask to a young fan before darting up the steps and between the ropes into the ring.

As the crowd simmers down, the question is on everybody's mind.

Will Dweck Show?

Jessica Kaine: And her opponent, from Wall Township, New Jersey: He is Richard Dweck!

There's a pause, and instead of Dweck's entrance, "Burn" by Stvore hit's the PA and out comes "The Red Angel" Co-Commissioner Irina Ivanova, microphone in hand.

Irina Ivanova: Alright, look. I do not know about you idiotic Americans, but when someone like me makes a match, that match happens one way or the other. It looks to me like Richard Dweck is too injured to compete tonight. So, the winner by forfeit, is this tiny woman in the ring.

Irina looks pleased with her statement as she makes her way to the back, ignoring the crowd's consistent booing. Tsukiko stands in the ring, almost heartbroken at the lack of a match.

St. Remi: Well, I mean there isn't anything that could have been done. Dweck is unable to compete, Tsukiko wins.

The commentators look at each other in confusion as the feed cuts to commercial.

Warbird vs. Road Dawg

St. Remi: Here we go again, bro. Warbird returns for a chance in singles arena.

Mike Clearwater: But he pits those skills, and mouthpiece, against a vet of several companies.

St. Remi: Road Dawg is just that and more. And he’s nonsense!

Road Dawg drives his motorcycle as pyro fountains go off down to the ring and does a few laps at 60 mph on the bike. The sound of the bike almost drowns out his introduction:

Jessica Kaine: Speeding to the ring from parts unknown… he’s the Road Dawg!

RD makes a hard pass before jumping off the seat and goes into get in the ring.

St. Remi: I’m hard for this guy already.

Mike Clearwater: You haven’t even seen him wrestle. Are you sure?

St. Remi: Reckless, faceless badass. Yeah, I think I’m good.

Mike Clearwater: And here comes his opponent! Warbird is going to have to bring his best to upend that show of dominance.

St. Remi: Alrighty...

Mike Clearwater: And there he is!

Warbird comes through the crowd after the main riffs of "Rather Hate Than Hurt" by Hinder hit the speakers. Explosions go off on stage, but Warbird elects to hop over the barricade and admire Road Dawg’s bike. He teases it with his fingernails—catching RD’s attention.

Jessica Kaine: And his opponent hailing from nowhere in general… he is Warbird.

Mike Clearwater: Two utter dickheads on a collision course.

St. Remi: Like a Bradley meeting a Chaz for the first time. Get ready for some douchebaggery.

Mike Clearwater: Warbird slipping inside… and our young official Kassidy Kaine calling for a bell.

St. Remi: He didn’t even frisk the Road Dawg… hard telling what foreign objects he could have hidden in his boot. I know his type—and Warbird using his size advantage to go behind.

Mike Clearwater: Strong clutch on Road Dawg, Russian legsweep onto the middle ropes! Caine never saw it!

St. Remi: Glad he’s not my ref. I’d come out with a stab wound.

Mike Clearwater: It can’t be that bad… and Warbird stomping the arms and legs.

St. Remi: Wearing the dawg done one stomp at a time.

Warbird pulls RD off the floor, but the Dawg turns it around into a European uppercut. He hits a second to the audience’s delight. Rearing back for a power strike, it come up short.

Mike Clearwater: Anticipation from Warbird, and he hits his own right hand.

St. Remi: Road Dawg grabs ahold, refusing to let go.

Mike Clearwater: What’s he trying to do? Warbird reverses!

St. Remi: That jawbreaker just left the Dawg stunned. Warbird giving chase… and a rib breaker from Road Dawg has Warbird on the run now. So many sudden twists and turns. We’re all on swivel chairs watching this action, bro.

Mike Clearwater: They get to their feet, but the Dawg is back on the offensive against the bigger fighter.

RD nails a nice combination of punches and European elbows. Warbird returns with closed fist strikes. They battle until Road Dawg seizes a sudden victory. He then sweeps behind and hits a pump handle slam. He makes an immediate cover.

Mike Clearwater: Warbird isn’t finished. Not by a long shot, partner.

St. Remi: Slapping the ground, he’s getting fired up!

Warbird climbs to his feet, despite some swaying, and executes a dropkick at the knee. He follows by locking in a headlock from the side. He wrenches to the right, but Road Dawg frees himself with rough elbows. He whips Warbird into the far ropes—Warbird ducks a clothes and hits a sudden heart punch.

Mike Clearwater: Heart punch?

St. Remi: He just suckered the Dawg with that strike. Blam!

Mike Clearwater: Here we go… Ashes to Ashes!

St. Remi: That DDT is so dangerous!

Mike Clearwater: Road Dawg powers a shoulder up. That’s heart right there.

St. Remi: Vets know you just have to get a shoulder up. No need to make it flashy—just get free.

Mike Clearwater: Warbird is arguing with the young official. But it seems Cassidy Kaine is clueless to his complaint.

St. Remi: You always feel betrayed by a young ref—Road Dawg strikes back!

Mike Clearwater: Should have kept his eye on the ball, huh?

St. Remi: Another huge uppercut. Does he want another one?

With that lapse in attention, Road Dawg tries to set up a second pump handle slam, but Warbird rolls behind him…

Mike Clearwater: Warbird lands behind Warbird. He’s locking the arms, looking for that devastating driver.

St. Remi: Road Dawg wiggling free!

Mike Clearwater: He drops behind Warbird… cradle suplex—and the bridge!

Warbird has the arm up and Kaine almost finishes the count anyways. Before Warbird can react to the vicious slam, the Dawg drags him up the turnbuckle.

Mike Clearwater: Here’s your stinger! Lights Out for Warbird!

St. Remi: Surprising power from such an undersized talent! A powerbomb

Jessica Kaine: And your winner… the Road Dawg!

Mike Clearwater: How’s that for a debut?

St. Remi: Well, everyone now knows not to cross the Road Dawg.

Mike Clearwater: And never mess with a man’s motor cycle. With that we head to those commercials. We’ll be right back!

Lucy Sixx/Steven Osbourne vs. Serenity Sherman/Kamikaze

DING DING DING!

Clearwater: Ladies and gentlemen, this next match is going to be interesting.

Remi: We have two people that were opponents last week teaming up tonight! "Interesting" is an understatement!

Clearwater: Well, Serenity and Kamikaze are already ready to go, as both of them are already in the ring!

Fever for the Flava by Hot Action Cop play as Osbourne comes out to the stage. He stands, attempting to look sexually appealing as his music stops, being replaced by "Love Bites" by Halestorm as Lucy Sixx reluctantly makes her way to the stage. Osbourne extends his hand to Lucy, who rolls her eyes and ignores his request, making her way to the ring. Osbourne shrugs it off and follows her lead.

Jessica Kaine: This contest is a tag team match set for one fall! Making their way to the ring, at a combined weight of 310 lbs, Steven Osborne and Lucy Sixx!

Clearwater: Lucy doesn't seem very excited for this match, Remi. I wonder how that will affect their teamwork.

Remi: I'm not sure, Mike, but Osbourne looks oiled up and ready to go! It's like the '80s is back!

DING DING DING!

Osbourne and Kamikaze start. Kami makes his name accurate, as he quickly lunges his way to Osbourne, only to suffer a huge clothesline, turning him inside out!

Remi: Wow! Right off the bat, Osbourne has the advantage!

Kamikaze rolls his way to his corner, letting Serenity get the tag. Osbourne does the same for Lucy. Serenity takes a more careful approach, signaling for a test of strength. They grip a hand each, only for Lucy to catch Serenity with an enzigiri.

Clearwater: Wow! These two clearly getting the upper hand here tonight!

Remi: It ain't even close, bro!

Just as Serenity makes her way up, the lights go out. You hear some slams to the mat, causing confusion for everyone. Once the light goes back up, both Serenity and Kamikaze are down for the count, with no sign of who the attacker could be. Lucy shrugs and goes to pin Serenity.

One!

Two!

THREE!

DING DING DING!

Lucy celebrates as her music hits once more. Her hand gets raised by a confused referee.

Clearwater: I… well… I have no clue what just happened.

Remi: I don't know, Mikey buddy, but Sixx and Osbourne just got an easy night! Can't say the same for the other two…

Clearwater: We'll be right back while we try to figure things out, folks.

Nyeo Son vs. Ravenous Rick Rage

Remi: Alright folks, we’ve had a great show up to this point and as we around into our main event we have to make a pit stop along the way as Triple R takes on Nyeo Son in which will be a great match.

Clearwater: Absolutely! I cannot wait for this match.

The slow, techno beats of Burning up by BTS stars, accompanied by dark, slow-motion footage of a rave on the titantron and multicolored strobelights.

It all stops as a voice speaks a single word in korean.

“Bultaoreune”

The area explodes into a cascade of red and white to reveal Nyeo Son on the ramp, arms outstretched and with a smirk on his face.

He makes his way to the ring, his body swaying in time to the music, his coat and gloves catching the light and making him shine like a lonesome star in the otherwise dark arena.

He rolls into the ring and stares down the hard camera as he leans over the ropes, licking his lips with a smirk before casually arching back until he is lying on his back on the mat, the camera switches to show him straight from above as he gestures it closer, a hungry look on his face before the the lights go out once more.

Remi: Here he is, Nyeo Son. So impressive and so amazing.

“Working Man” by RUSH hits the PA system as Triple R runs out from the back with fire and fury in his eyes. The crowd chants Rage, Rage, Rage, as he slides into the in ring.

Clearwater: Here comes Triple R and boy won’t this be a clash of styles here tonight on Metal. Nyeo is a fluid striker and Triple R is a bull rushing powerhouse

DING DING

Nyeo and Triple R meet in the middle of the ring as Nyeo lets out a primal scream and starts chopping away at a larger Triple R with kicks to the legs and rips but Triple R just roars and connects with a clothesline. Triple R turns back around as Nyeo kips up and hits Triple H with a scorpion kick. Rage gets rocked and stumbles backwards, hits the ropes and walks forward.

Remi: Nyeo with a frankenstiener.

Clearwater: Rage kicks out.

Nyeo picks up Rage but Rage hits him with shots to the stomach, lifts Nyeo up and hits a samoan drop. Rage goes to the ropes and taunts the crowd with a fists to the chest. Rage hops off, goes towards Nyeo who explodes on him a punch to the throat and a bell clap into a moonsault kick that sends Rage into the corner.

Remi: Nyeo with a monkey flip out of the corner.

Rage skids across the mat holding his back.

WHAM

Clearwater: Nyeo with a shining wizard.

NOOO

Remi: Rage counters with a pop up powerbomb.

Rage white washes Nyeo with a boot before hitting the ropes for a rolling senton

NOO!!

Nyeo rolls out of the way, he gets to his feet and hits a sling blade. Rage gets up.. Another sling blade.. He gets up.. Tornado ddt.

Clearwater: Rage is out of it. Hes got to be dizzy.

Rage gets to his feet. Nyeo charges but gets laid out with a flap jack and gets hung up on the ropes. Rage grabs him and hits him with a rolling release german suplex. Nyeo is dazed but gets to his feet and hits Rage with a spring board hurricane kick

Remi: Wow I didnt know he could do that.

Clearwater: I didnt even know it was possible.

The pin.

Rage gets the shoulder up.

Nyeo picks up Rage and throws him into the corner, trying to set him up for a suplex but Rage rights out of it, knocking Nyeo off.

Remi: Rage with the triple R special..

NOO Neyo moves out of the way

SPLAT

Remi: Rage lands hard

Rage gets to his knees..

WHAM

Clearwater: Cranberry Juice.

Remi: If anything that woke Rage up and gets o his feet but he’s not lookin good.

Clearwater: Nyeo is so quick and so dangerous, I cant believe it..

Remi: Strain and Serve from out of no where.

Remi fights and fight, trying to get out of the dragon sleeper but after the palm strike and the cutter, its too much on his neck and Rage taps out.

Remi: He did it. Nyeo has won the match!

Clearwater: What a great effort by both men. I cant believe it, Nyeo with the come from behind victory

Jessica Kaine: And the winner of this match by submission… Nyeo Son!

Mike Clearwater: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm pleased to announce a new addition to our broadcasting team. You may know him from the Sixth Dimension, which aired last year on the WCF Network. He'll be acting as one of our backstage interviewers here on Metal. Please welcome, James Eastwood.

We cut to the backstage area where James Eastwood appears on screen.

James Eastwood: Thanks, Mike. I'm really excited to be here in Alpha Pro Wrest---.

Eastwood spots somebody off-camera. He looks shocked.

James Eastwood: No way. What are you doing here? Oh man, it's good to see you.

Eastwood goes to shake the person's hand, but the person's arm comes into view and cuts Eastwood down with a wicked clothesline. Clearwater's voice is heard from the broadcast desk.

Mike Clearwater: James?! James, are you okay?

The mystery person comes into view and stares into the camera. The crowd pops.

Mike Clearwater: WHAT?!

Jonah St. Remington: DEAN WOLF!

Wolf looks into the camera for a few more seconds before uttering his favourite phrase. The crowd says it with him halfway through.

Dean Wolf: Seek...the wolf...in thyself.

The show returns from commercial with a shot of Clearwater and Remington at the broadcast desk.

Mike Clearwater: If you're just joining us, take a look at what happened right before we went to commercial.

Clearwater talks over the replay.

Mike Clearwater: We were just introducing our new colleague, James Eastwood, when he spotted someone off-screen who turned out to be Dean Wolf!

Clearwater stops talking to allow the audience to hear Wolf say his catchphrase again.

The camera cuts back to Clearwater and Remington.

Mike Clearwater: I can't believe what I just saw. Dean Wolf is in APW.

Jonah St. Remington: The talent pool just keeps getting bigger and bigger here in APW, and someone like Dean Wolf is a force that is going to be reckoned with. When he's in that ring, he doesn't care who you are, he's going to beat you up.

Mike Clearwater: I don't think he cares who you are outside of the ring, either. I mean, he and James Eastwood know each other from the Sixth Dimension, and he just laid out James like it was nothing. Hold on one second.

Clearwater is listening to someone who's talking into his headset.

Mike Clearwater: Speaking of James, I've just been informed that he's on the way to the hospital and as they were wheeling him into the ambulance, he quit on the spot. Well, it was a pleasure working with you, James...for two seconds. We'll be right back.

The show fades to commercial.

Masuda Jubei vs Trent Page

"Violent Revolution" comes on over the PA, as the lights go black. Suddenly a red glow behind the silhouette of Trent Page. An explosion of flame on either side of him, and the lights come on. He glares at the ring with fire in his eyes, slamming his fist against his chest several times.

Jessica Kaine: Now coming to the ring, from Trenton, New Jersey. He stands six feet tall, and weighs in at two hundred and thirty five pounds... Trent Page!

Trent throws his fist in the air, and stares back and forth at the crowd with disdain. He spits on the ramp, and continues making his way down to the ring. Sliding under the bottom rope, he glares at the crowd once more, his hatred clear. He climbs to the second rope, and throws up his fist again, drawing more booing from the people. As his music dies, he climbs down and removes his jacket, preparing for his match.

St Remi: Trent Page comes highly regarded and looks to be a promising member of the Alpha Pro Roster!

Mike Clearwater: Yeah, but he has no small task ahead of him as he takes on Jubei.

The arena brightens almost white as “Libra” by MUCC plays. Masuda Jubei emerges from a burst of fog wearing a white embroidered towel over his head. He walks down the ramp to the slow, almost dark-sounding rap until the music hits a poppy section. At which Jubei unveils his towel and finds the nearest child to drape it over in a calm yet menacing way. After a playful slap to the squirt’s cheek, he hops onto the apron and enters through the middle rope. Lights lower to normal with Jubei waiting intently for the bout to begin.

St. Remi: Jubei is a loser. He proved that last week.

Mike Clearwater: Jubei is looking to regain his footing after the loss to Braxton Locus last week.

Senior official Eddie Silk calls for the bell and we are underway. Page attempts to initiate a collar-elbow tie up but Jubei catches him with a massive headbutt. Page is rocked backward as Jubei hits a dragon screw takedown. As Page lays on the mat Jubei gets into a top mount position. He begins a ground and pound as Silk begins his five count

Jubei stands up as Page is already bleeding.

St. Remi: A lot of fire out of Jubei here. I am kind of feeling this side of him.

Mike Clearwater: Eddie Silk can't let this match get out of hand.

Eddie Silk checks on Trent Page. Page makes it to his feet and smirks as he gives a bring it hand motion to Jubei. Jubei rushes at Page but is caught with a HUGE knee to the face. Jubei is rocked back into the ropes. He rebounds but Page has springboarded off the ropes and hits a flying forearm. He lifts Jubei to his feet and whips him into the ropes. He attempts to hit the One Man Mosh Pit but Jubei lifts him up with a choke and hits Wani. Jubei goes for the cover.

THR... NO!

Page gets his foot on the ropes. Both men are back on their feet staring at each other. Both bleeding and both not showing any signs of giving up as Trent turns and runs towards the ropes as a charging Jubei follows, Trent hits a pitch perfect Middle rope flying European uppercut that rocks Jubei off his feet. He staggers and falls into the ropes as Trent ties him up and starts to deliver a series of blistering chops!

CHOP!

WHOOOOOOOOOO!

CHOP!

WHOOOOOOOOOO!

CHOP!

WHOOOOOOOOOO!

CH--Juebi hits a low blow with his free leg! The referee frees Jubei from the ropes as Trent wipes the tears from his eyes. Now it's "The Master's" turn as he fires back with furious elbow connections that sends Trent reeling. This is followed up with a wrenched dragon screw that nearly pulls Trent's leg out of it's socket! Jubei drops a series of vicious elbow drops as Trent hits a eye poke and pulls back on Juebi's face as he attempts to lock in a triangle hold but Jubei fires back with more elbow shots as blood cakes Trent's face. The ref runs in and check the eyes of Trent as he suspects a concussion, waving his arms as the bell is called!

Jessica Kaine: And the winner of this match via stoppage....Masuda Jubei!

A grizzled and somewhat content Jubei stands as an irate Trent hobbles to his feet and shoves the referee, he shouts "bullshit" as he rolls out of the ring.

Remi: What? Why was the match stopped? Trent is bleeding but he can still continue!

Clearwater: State law on concussions means Jubei played the house and won. But Trent will want revenge. This story is far from over!

Smith Jones vs Braxton Locus

The opening riff from ‘Waiting For The End’ by Linkin Park plays, followed by that repeated double piano hit as all of the lights in the arena blast to full white. Smith Jones comes out onto the stage dressed in a shiny white robe with sparkly silver trim. All of the spotlights point at Smith as the rest of the arena now rests in darkness. Jones stops at the top of the ramp and looks out across the crowd as many of them chant "Smitty! Smitty! Smitty!"

Jessica Kaine: Coming to the ring, hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada...weighing in at 229 lbs...SMITH! JOOOOOOOOOOOONES!

Smith strides confidently down to ringside. He mounts the steel ring steps and wipes his feet respectfully on the ring apron before parting the ropes and taking centre. Jones turns his back to camera to show of the sparkly silver "1'm" embroidered across his shoulders. He raises his right fist in the air and looks up at it. Smith spreads his fingers out wide as he lets go of everything outside the ring and focuses on the fight in front of him. Jones removes his robe and hands it to ringside before stretching up for the match.

Mike Clearwater: Smith Jones coming in with a big victory from Alpha Rising, winning a Triple Threat match versus Haruna Sakazaki and Scott Slayer. He’s looking to rocket right to the top and beating his opponent here tonight might put him right where he wants to be.

St. Remi: Speaking of which...here comes the man now!

"Less Sex" by Daughters builds with a static swell and a light instrumentation until a sudden snare halts the static and "Braxton Lucas" cuts onto the Titantron. Braxton steps out from behind the curtain with a small burlap bag over his head.

Jessica Kaine: Coming to the ring at two-hundred and twenty pounds, from St. Paul, Minnesota. BRRRRRRRRRAXTON LOOOOOOOCUUUUUUUUUSSSS!

Slowly he walks down to the ring as the song continues on with it's melancholic tone. He ascends the steel steps and along the apron of the before reaching the middle and turning to face the crowd. As the song strikes its sour screeches, Braxton rips off the bag and assaults the camera with an unflinching stare before stepping between the ropes and into the center of the ring.

Mike Clearwater: Such an enigmatic figure. Not much is known about Mr. Locus or his persona Sammy Badmoon but they certainly made a splash last week by winning the main event versus Jubei. And if you remember, that was no easy feet. They were both out for blood. I wonder how it will play out this time as he faces a competitor very much unlike himself or his previous opponent.

St. Remi: Let me tell you something. I don’t Sammy is one to change up a working strategy with his radical style of just throwing himself at an opponent but that might be his downfall this time around as Smith Jones is a ring veteran and has a very flexible defense built on years of experience and can read an opponent pretty well...With that said, Sammy is sure to have a few tricks up his sleeve that we have yet to see.

DING! DING! DING!

Mike Clearwater: And with that, the match begins.

The two men circle around the ring, sizing each other up. Smith with a cautious side step and Sammy with an arrogant stride. They both look like they are about to go in for a Collar-Elbow tie up but Sammy is quick to interrupt with an elbow to the side of the face, causing Smith Jones to take a step back and rub his cheek. Sammy smiles and coyly shrugs.

Mike Clearwater: It should be clear to many who watched Alpha Rising last week that Mr. Locus is not a traditionalist by any means and is keen on more devious openings to gain him an advantage in the match.

St. Remi: This is exactly why Sammy is so effective. He sees those moments where wrestlers just accept what they are going to do, something simple like a Collar-Elbow tie up, and instead of doing the same, he acknowledges that that is the best time to zig instead of zag.

Mike Clearwater: And now that Smith Jones has felt that first hand, it will be interesting to see what he chooses to do about it.

The two men circle again, this time both readying themselves for what the other plans to do. Suddenly Sammy stops and raises a hand in the air, presenting a test of strength. Smith stops and looks up at his hand for a moment before shaking his head.

Mike Clearwater: Smith Jones seeing the bait and decides to not bite. But what does he plan to do if not approach Braxton Locus head on?

St. Remi: There is a difference between choosing to lock up with someone for is chain wrestling and head on offense. Smith Jones doesn’t trust Braxton to lock up fairly but there are still plenty of ways to approach him. He just has to be sure to get the first hit and not miss.

Sammy drops his arm and laughs. But while he laughs, Jones swoops in and around in a flash and German Suplexes Sammy, causing him to roll through back onto his knees with a dazed look of surprise.

Mike Clearwater: A fast and powerful suplex from Smith Jones!

St. Remi: Sammy let his guard down, taking to appreciate himself and not enough time to appreciate the athleticism of his opponent.

This time Smith laughs as he backs up into the corner, waiting for Sammy to return to his feet. Sammy punches the mat and gets back up to his feet with a more determined grimace on his face. As they both return to the center, Sammy runs his mouth, visibly saying ‘you want to do this then lets do this!’ before slapping himself against the face to display his readiness. ‘C’mon. Hit me.’ can be heard as the crowd noise hushes in anticipation.

Smith clocks him across the jaw, sending Sammy’s head off to one side. Smith Jones replying with ‘is that what you want’. With a look of surprise, Sammy nods and returns the strike with an elbow to the jaw. Smith returns with a European Uppercut that sends his opponent back a few steps but Sammy quickly erases the distance with a knee to the gut, bending Jones over.

Sammy sizes up his opponent and then heads to the ropes, bounces off and attempts to catch Smith in something but is caught in a headlock takedown, slamming him into the mat. Smith holds on to him as the ref gets down on the ground to watch the shoulders. Sammy does his best to keep at least one off the mat.

Mike Clearwater: After a little back and forth, Smith Jones comes in with a quick and tactical counter, showing the strong tactician and technician that he is known to be.

St. Remi: The whole time it seemed like Jones was waiting for the right moment, playing Sammy’s game for a bit just so he could find that opening and turn the match into something more his liking.

The squirm around the ring as Sammy fights to get loose but Smith keeps pressure up and stays in such a position as to avoid his opponent’s grasp. All Sammy can do is attempt to grab at whatever he can. He attempts to grab the hair but the ref cuts him off. He attempts to pull on the mouth but again the ref calls him out. Eventually, out of frustration, Sammy throws himself around and rolls Smith right over him into a roll up.

Kick out!

Mike Clearwater: A quick roll up but even a quicker kick out.

St. Remi: Something tells me Sammy wasn’t looking for the win but just for Jones to let go. In that respect, he was successful but he is going to have to find a way to come back and keep Smith from putting him back in that same position. Doesn’t seem like Sammy quite has a strategy yet for those lightning reflexes Jones has built over the years. He can read movement like a book.

Mike Clearwater: And that might be a disadvantage for Braxton Locus as he seems more at home being a chaotic element, but if he can be tracked then maybe he is gonna start feeling like a caged animal.

Both wrestlers return to their feet but don’t take long to get back into it as Sammy captures Smith in a front face lock on his way up. He begins to knee the ring general in the gut repeatedly before snapping into a neck-wrench suplex. He rolls through and forces the both of them back on their feet to proceed with a quick neckbreaker. He rolls until he has a fixed front facelock on the ground.

Mike Clearwater: Braxton Locus showing some technician skill as well with a little chain wrestling. Maybe it was unfair to count him out as just a wild brawler.

St. Remi: Like I said, Sammy is going to have a few tricks up his sleeve. When he needs to, he can pull out some surprising maneuvers. What he is doing right now is showing Jones that he can play his game too. Sammy is resilient in the fact that he is adaptable.

Smith struggles a bit as he fights to get on his knees. Soon Smith slowly begins to over power Sammy as he gets on one foot then two, lifting Sammy with him. As soon as they are both on their feet, Smith pushes them to the rope and the ref is quick to come in and break the hold.

Mike Clearwater: The ref breaks the hold and Smith finds himself freed.

St. Remi: Even if Braxton comes in with some technical ability, Jones is too much of a veteran. He knows exactly how to counter. Sammy is going to have to realize that he can’t beat Jones at his own game, just protect himself when it gets tough.

As Jones backs up though, Sammy backhands him across the face, visibly angering Jones who comes back with a slug but the ref is quickly back in between them until they finally move away from the ropes.

Mike Clearwater: Braxton again using those opening that he is afforded. Jones looking a little heated at the moment.

St. Remi: People have to realize that Sammy isn’t just a reckless brawler. It isn’t just about throwing him body wherever the wind takes him. It is still a battle of the mind even when it seems like there is no thought involved. He wants Jones to be shaken a bit. He wants Jones to lose his cool and be on his toes at every possible moment. That kind of caution can be exhausting and can leave more openings than it prevents.

As they continue to back away from the ropes, Sammy spits in Jones face. Jones again rages towards him. But, before Sammy could properly defend him, Jones grabs around his waist and tosses him over his head.

Mike Clearwater: Belly to Belly Suplex with authority!

St. Remi: Though sometimes you can anger an opponent too much and comes back to bite you.

Jones grabs his arm. He goes to apply an overhand wrist lock but Sammy rolls through and they are quickly back to their feet only for Jones to twist around hit with an overhand wrist lock, sending Sammy to the ground. But before Jones can apply pressure, Sammy begins to wail onto the back of his head causing Jones’ grip to loosen. As soon as his arm is free, Sammy pushes Jones’ face into the mat and wrenches into an arm bar.

The ref drops to the ground, looking to see if Smith submits. As he does, Sammy begins, with his off hand, wrenching back fingers on Smith’s contained arm. Smith yells out in pain as he feels his digits get pulled too far back.

Mike Clearwater: For a moment there, I thought we were going to continue to see some pure wrestling but Braxton Locus, as always, adds another note to it and is simply torturing Smith Jones.

St. Remi: Sammy doesn’t believe in pure wrestling. Pain is pain and to Sammy, there is no wrong kind of pain. If he can apply it, it has every right to be used as any other move. And what a brilliant strategy it is. If he wears done those fingers, then Jones can’t really interlock them and if Jones can’t interlock his fingers then there is a whole section of his repertoire gone from the match. No German Suplexes, no Belly to Bellies, no Northern Lights, so on and so forth. And on top of that, he isn’t forgetting about the rest of the arm as well. Really working in that shoulder as he wrenches back. If he really breaks it down, that is a whole other section gone! But that won’t even matter if he can’t break though hold!

Smith looks around as he refuses to tap. He reaches for salvation albeit every direction his body moves in unnatural positions. He swings twice, then thrice, trying his best to hit the bottom rope. In doing so, he trips up tonight’s veteran official, Spunky O’Shaughnessy. He falls face-first like a bowling pin. Smithy reaches a leg out and nails Braxton straight in the crotch. That great balls of fire separate them; however, Smith is definitely the worst for wear between them.

St. Remi: Clever girl… only a vets get away with such cheap tactics. Either way, Smithy just took him to charge.

Mike Clearwater: What a match though, amirite?

St. Remi: Yes, we all know exactly what you mean. Yakuza Kick!

Mike Clearwater: What?

St. Remi: Whip your head around once in a while, Mike. Jone just countered with a humongous kick.

Jones climbs to the middle rope, painstakingly as he does, and perches at the middle rope.

St. Remi: He’s tearing off that kneepad. Jones means business!

Mike Clearwater: He leaps with that exposed knee… his misses the coup degras, and here come that Badmoon once more. Not that one. Have mercy Sammy!

St. Remi: Smith cannot move… he’s fish in a barrel.

In one fateful swoop, Braxton locks in A New Perspective. Jones refuses to tap, prompting a count.

The arm goes up… and down.

1!

The arm goes up again… and drops down.

2!

Mike Clearwater: This could be it. Spanky raises his hand once more…

St. Remi: Damn Sammy, you took him out.

The arm goes up and holds for several seconds, yet Jones cannot prove himself conscious. O’Shaughnessy calls for the bell via TKO.

Jessica Kaine: And your winner, Braxton Locus!

Mike Clearwater: Who can stop this guy? He’s an unstoppable pain train.

St. Remi: Major props to Smithy though for not tapping out to Braxton. Major. Props.

Mike Clearwater: A great win for the now undefeated Braxton Locus. His profile is rising higher than most fans imagined at day one, and now he’s sporting a sexy 2-0 record in our young company. Well everyone, that’s been Monday Night Metal… and tonight has been our pleasure to deliver to you. We hope you invite us back into your homes next week as we build towards Ultimate Showdow...

"With Oden on Our Side” hits the PA system.

Clearwater: Oh dear god, no.

Remi: What? What’s that noise? Ugh, Whos music is that? It’s too loud and scandanavian.

Clearwater: Don’t you know who that is? That's Odin Balfore! It must have been Odin that took out the roster tonight! He’s been spending the entire show making a statement.

Remi: Wait...He’s real?

Clearwater: Very much so and he’s here in Alpha Wrestling!

Odin makes his way out onto the stage.

Remi: He’s, he’s huge.

Clearwater: Seven foot tall! Three hundred and sixty pounds and he’s heading this way!

Remi: With Braxton and Smith exhausted after one incredible match, Odin has timed this perfectly. Braxton and Smitty left nothing out there and Odin is fired up and fresh!
