On a night where others perform just once, Aaron will be doing something that I don’t think has been done in APW since they started. He would be not only doing something historic but also he would be proving himself to not just The Bloodline, but also to APW. See, Aaron will perform not once in one night but TWICE! He will be competing in a match where he takes on Jaice Wilds in a match. That’s great, the man who was defeated at BattleCade has a chance to shake off that loss and step back in the ring to represent The Bloodline. But that’s just one match. He’ll have to turn around AFTER that match and then referee a match. But it’s not just any match, no, this is one that he helped create. Yes, I’m talking about the $250K Falls Count Anywhere match.
This match was set before BattleCade and since then, well, you saw what happened at BattleCade. But The Bloodline’s Jason Ryan and Red Riot will be happening because of him. I think this is the first time that the two have wrestled each other. Now aside from a video message that Aaron had sent APW to their “Beyond The Promo” section on their website, nobody had seen or heard from him since that night at BattleCade. APW officials and staff had tried reaching out to him to find out his grievance but it was pretty much self explanatory in his video. It was mentioned that Aaron should go for the North American Championship. So with all that said, it was now time for the preparation for Metal. Just hours away from bell time, Aaron has still yet to speak with the other Bloodline members.
Some figured that this was just Aaron being himself as he’s usually always isolated before his match, but with now two things on his plate, his only thought going into this night was...does this mean double pay? Ha! No, his only thought going into the night was he would have a chance to represent The Bloodline in not one but two matches. With his intentions on serving The Bloodline well, could it be seeing that Jason wins and Red Riot become Bloodline? Or that he takes care of Jaice Wilds in return for his loss at BattleCade. Could it be both? If so, how? How does Jason win and Riot become part of The Bloodline without it costing Aaron his weekly pay? I guess everyone will find out what happens at Metal when it comes to The Bloodline.
But what about Aaron and Jaice? To talk more on that, we’ll just go to the man himself as he’s at the Coleman Coliseum in the hick-town that is Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
{Location: Coleman Coliseum][Tuscaloosa, Alabama}
Aaron had arrived at the arena without The Bloodline which led to speculation on what was said in his video. Was he still pissed about what went down at BattleCade? As he closed the door to his SUV, he walked in the building with his suitcase. After the typical signing in to show that you showed up for work, instead of going to his locker room, Aaron walked over to the arena curtain as already the seats were filling up. As he took a deep breath, he turned and walked down the hall to his locker room. Inside he found a line-up sheet for the night and clearly read his name TWICE on the card. Once of course was the match between him and Jaice, while the other, him as a special referee.
His stomach started to feel uneasy as he had come to a plan somewhere between last night and now. His decision would be tried to find out as a knock would come to his door in the likes of Troy Butler. With Troy and his cameraman in the room to get this pre-match interview, the biggest question Troy would try to get out of him, is where would he align himself as the special referee.
{Location: Locker Room][Interview with: Aaron Blade}
In the bathroom of his room, Aaron was putting his make-up on as he talked with Troy.
[Butler] “Aaron, tonight you’re pulling double duty as not just a competitor but also a referee. Which one of these two do you think best suits you”?
Looking at him through the mirror with a side-eyed look, Aaron answers him.
“Is that your legitimate question? Let’s get something straight. I’m a wrestler who just happened to put myself in the role as referee”.
[Butler] “Before you put on that Zebra shirt though, you’ll be in a match with Jaice Wilds. You both are risk takers so my question is how do you prepare for him knowing your similarities”?
“Jaice is from Brazil, right? So he’s probably got some Ju-Jitsu up his sleeve too. I’ve seen this kid and the company’s he’s been with. He’s going to understand though that this isn’t those places. We do things different here and there’s nobody more different than me”.
Aaron puts down his paintbrushes and turns to the camera. Standing inside the doorway and placing his arms up and resting on the frame, he continues talking.
“This kid has some good moves but it’s going to take more than being good to get the job done. After I’m done with him, I’m still going to be out there to call a match…”
Troy interrupts him.
[Butler] “The match where you’re going to be involved”.
“Let me correct you there. I’ll be involved as a referee but see, I have faith in Ryan that he’s going to go out there and bring Red Riot into The Bloodline and prove to APW that we are here to take over. I made it clear to both of them that I’m going to call it down the middle and yeah, I know the history of special referee’s and calling things down the middle. Why would I jeopardize my money and my job by getting involved in a match that I put money up for to make happen?
I already got my check for tonight and before you ask, yes, they both cleared. So my question is 'if I'm working double, do I get double pay' has been answered. I’m going to sit back and watch these guys beat the hell out of each other. Why? Not only is it because that’s what The Bloodline does, but I paid good money to see it happen so I’m watching my investment”.
[Butler] “So you’re saying that the money put up is yours”?
“Troy, when I say I made this match happen, I conned Red into this match for the enjoyment of The Bloodline. If Red wins, that money goes back into The Bloodline pockets. If Ryan wins, that money goes back into our pockets and Red becomes one of us”.
[Butler] “But if Red wins, that means you’re suspended”.
Slowly turning his head away and then slowly back to Troy…
“Troy, being suspended isn’t anything new to me. In school I never minded getting suspended. It’s because I would get in fights and a lot of those fights I’d walk away with scars but I’d walk away while the other boy was on the ground crying and bitching that I broke his face with my hand or whatever was in my hands. I didn’t give a shit about anything back then and now, (he looks into the camera) I don’t give a shit about you.
Ever since BattleCade I’ve been in a bad mood and you’re the unlucky contestant who drew the short stick. Let this be your warning because when that bell rings, your ass belongs to me. I don’t give a damn how many people are out there chanting your name or booing me. I’ll give these stupid hillbilly inbred a reason to hate me although I don’t think they like foreigners here either. When it’s over and you’re beaten and broken and carried off to the back, maybe you’ll think again before stepping in a ring where The Bloodline calls home.
But don’t think I’m done because I’m not. See, this is where Alabama is going to like this. They don’t just get to see me once but after I beat the hell out of Jaice, they get to watch me call probably the greatest match of the night next to mine. The leader of The Bloodline takes on Red Riot. This is going to be great. I already said I get to watch my investment in action, but I get to watch the next to the biggest ass kicking happen, because let’s face it mine was first, and show APW that Red Riot is living up to his name. Not only will a riot break out here in Alabama but we’re going to prove that wherever The Bloodline is, we will shed anyone’s blood who dares step in our way.
Now before I forget, Johnny Stylez, yeah I didn’t forget about you man. I almost did but you’re the newest man to come on board with us. I’ve had my say about you and now that it’s a new day, I think we can come to an agreement. My initial thought was that you wanted to take over The Bloodline and that didn’t sit well with me but after talking with everyone, I can see where your head is. Some would say it’s up your ass, but I’m seeing something different. Call me crazy, and some have because I have the papers to prove I am, but having you with us is another step to us taking over APW.
So whatever I said about you, even if it is true, you’re Bloodline. And hey, if you look at it, one….no two matches, The Bloodline has taken over this card already. Soul Reaver is going to dominate that ass who pinned me at BattleCade, Johnny's facing some woman who probably watched Mad Max movies. Which one did you watch for your name? Was it 1979, 1981, 1985 or 2015? Or was it Lethal Weapon where Mel Gibson’s last name was ‘Riggs’, and you decided to put them together? Then you’ve got the curtain jerker, it’s FLOP and PKA, so that match is going to flop. Oh, I almost forgot then you have the main event. What is it”?
[Butler] “The Hardcore Championship match between…”
“Oh yeah, that match. Triple...H? No, wrong company. Triple…”
[Butler] “V”
“Yeah, that’s it. Him and Zombie. I had my run-in with Zombie. You remember that don’t you? That’s where me and Ryan met actually. So um, look, I think we had enough time here so what time do you have”?
[Butler] “It’s Twenty minutes until bell time”.
“Twenty minutes and I’m the second and third match, so let me finish up here and I’ll see you out there. Oh yeah, Jaice, do me a favor and make sure you brush your teeth and take a shower before you get out there. I’m going to be out there for two matches and I don’t want to smell whatever food you ate before the match and then I end up hungry. It’s going to be a long night for me so just do me that one favor. That sound good amigo”?
Aaron laughs for a few seconds before immediately stopping and now an emotionless look is on his face. He slowly turns his head slightly to the side as the camera begins to fade to a Black screen before cutting off.
