Damon Warrens vs Smith Jones (c)

Jessica Kaine: The following match is the main event here at APW’s Battlecade and is for the APW World Heavyweight Championship!!! Introducing first the challenger....

The opening notes of "The Nobodies" by Marilyn Manson ring through the arena and the lights go out. Moments later the lyrics come in and red light slowly fades in on the stage revealing Damon Warrens sitting on his throne of thorns on stage. Atop his head sits a matching thorny black crown; his mouth covered by his signature frowning half mask. Red face paint streaks leave his pure white eyes like tears of blood. The Nitemare is decked out in his typical ring gear, but it is in a deep Merlot red. In front of Damon his faithful partner in crime Jaime is crouched down in black leather pants with a matching chest harness. Damon Warrens rises from his throne and with Jaime in tow begins his journey to the ring.

Jessica Kaine: Coming first to the ring, from San Diego California; standing at six-feet, and one inch tall and weighing in at two-hundred twenty-five pounds... The challenger - representing the Architects.... he is the Devil Himself.... DAMON WARRENS!

Damon walks to the right side of the ring. Before he can slide onto the apron Jaime crouches in front of him and Damon pauses before stepping onto his boyfriend's back in order to climb to the ring apron. He turns to face the crowd before slowly entering through the ropes. Damon stands in the center of the ring and unfolds his arms into a crucifix like pose. He basks in the red light before reaching for his crown which he removes before giving it to Jaime for safe keeping. Damon then goes to his corner and removes his entrance jacket and mask before crouching in the corner awaiting the arrival of his opponent.

"Architects" by Rise Against rocks the speakers as all of the lights in the arena blast to full white. The lights start to slowly fade to darkness as every spotlight in the joint floods the entranceway with bright white light. Smith Jones comes out onto the stage dressed in a shiny white robe with sparkly silver trim. His robe hangs open to show the APW World Championship locked safely around Smith's waist. Jones stops at the top of the ramp and looks out across the crowd as many of them chant "Ar-chi-tects! Ar-chi-tects! Ar-chi-tects!"

Jessica Kaine: Coming down the aisle... representing The Architects... from Toronto, Ontario, Canada... weighing in at two hundred twenty-nine pounds... he is the Alpha Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion... there is only one... SMITH JONES!!!

Smith strides confidently down to ringside. He mounts the steel ring steps and wipes his feet respectfully on the ring apron before parting the ropes and taking centre. He removes the belt and holds it aloft with his right hand to a potent mix of cheers and jeers. He grins. Jones entrusts the title to ringside and shrugs off his robe before stretching up for the match. Smith sports that signature stone scowl that says everything is not going to be okay for his friend and stablemate.

Clearwater: I’ve been waiting for this match all night!!!!

St. Remington: yeah Bro! They are gonna blow the alien secrets right out of the ground!!!

The referee for this match, Eddie Silk, walks over to Smith and pats him down for weapons as Damon hops off the middle ropes and lightly stretches himself out, staring a hole in Smith that is returned in full force. As he finishes with Jones, Silk walks over to Damon and ignores his glare as he checks his very carefully. Smitty unclips the World Championship belt from around his waist and hands it over, as he shows it to him and then walks back over to Warren and shows it to him. He walks to the middle of the ring and holds the belt high for the troops to see before walking over and handing it to the timekeeper. Both Damon and Smith haven't stopped staring at each other since Damon’s been in the ring, but before he can call for the bell “how Could I just Kill a Man’ hits the sound system and the troops are on their feet.

Clearwater: That’s the Cowgirls music!

St. Remington: Sweet! Mad Max! How do I look, Mike?

Clearwater: Dude, she’s a lesbian. It ain’t happening.

The Cowgirls walk out onto the entrance to the delight of the US Troops. They hold their fists high in the air as they walk towards the announce table. St. Remington is up grabbing a couple chairs for the ladies as their music dies down. They adjust their headsets as the APW Commentators welcome them.

Clearwater: We had word you weren’t going to be here for Battlecade after your loss last week.

Meghan Kelser: Well Mike, I had my DVR set but we figured we wanted to have the best seats in the house!

St. Remington: Well I for once am happy to have you hear. Much better scenery than Mike over there!

Clearwater: Hey! My mom says I’m handsome!

Mad Max: Parents lie all the time. Like when Corey Black’s parents say they love him, for example.

Meghan and Max wave to the Architects and give them a thumbs up. The stablemates look at each other wondering what the hell the ladies are doing there as Silk calls for the bell!

The bell rings but neither Damon or Smith seems to notice that, they're too busy trying to size their opponent up from their respective corners. Damon shifts himself slightly, expecting Smith to start off this match, but he stays in his corner, focusing on his up and down. Finally, Damon makes a move, walking to the center of the ring, where Smith meets him and they continue their staredown. Smitty makes the first physical action of the match as he goes in for a lockup with the the challenger, but Damon ducks out of the way, moving behind Smith and making an attempt to drop Smith down with a cradle pin right off the bat. Smith rolls out of Damon’s grasp and pounces on him, trying to get the flash pin for the win, but he only gets a one count. Damon quickly goes for a reversal, spinning both of them on the mat before going for a pinfall of his own, but that only gets one as well. Both get to their feet and Damon goes for another quick pin as he takes out Smith’s legs in a takedown, but still just a one before Damon’s put into a pinfall situation of his own, as Smitty pushes the both of them backwards so that Smith’s on top. 1! Damon rolls them back. 1, 2! Smith swings them both forward! 1, 2! Both roll to their feet and stand off as the troops cheers for the quick exchange. They barely spend a moment looking at each other before they are at it once again, Smith going for a knucklelock but Damon ducks it once more, sliding in behind him and picking one of his legs out to bring him down to one knee, quickly pulling him into an Abdominal Stretch. Rather than locking his arms, though, Damon focuses on grinding his forearm against the side of Smitty’s face, pushing his neck down.

Meghan Kelser: And Damon’s got the early advantage it seems.

Clearwater: I imagine this will be very back and forth with the friends knowing one another like the back of their hands.

Mad Max: Well I for one hope Damon wins. Save a horse, ride a Architect!

St. Remington: You do know his partner is his manager right? And don’t you like girls?

Mad Max: Hey, why do we gotta put labels on such things?

Despite Damon’s knowledge in this department, Smitty soon turns around in the hold, though, Damon quickly pulling him into a Double Underhook to keep him from attacking, but the Mr Architect manages to pull out, getting behind Damon and pulling his into a Reverse Waistlock. The World title challenger sits out immediately, rolling out of Smith’s hold and up to his feet, getting some distance between the two of them as the troops cheers, excited for this match so far. Pretty soon, the two lock up again, Smitty quickly going for a Side Headlock, but Damon fights with it, both of them working hard to try and get the advantage of this grapple. Finally, Damon moves behind Smitty to break it up and get him in a Reverse Waistlock, but Smith quickly widens his base, starting to pull his arms out, only for Damon to trip him down onto the mat, turning his body to get him in a Front Facelock. Smitty manages to twist out of it, but before he can get Damon in a hold of his own, Damon grabs him and twists him down to the mat in a Crucifix Pin. Before Eddie can drop down for the count, Smitty rolls through and gets back to his feet, with Damon still on his back, and rushes into the corner backwards, sending Damon right into the corner. Smitty backs off as Damon gets back into a vertical base, rushing forward for a Stinger Splash, but Damon slides out of a way as Smith crashes into the corner. Smith staggers backwards... right into a Full Nelso... Smith escapes the Full Nelson almost immediately. Smith rolls to his feet, pointing to his head to show how much homework he's done on Damon’s moveset while Damon gives a Nitemarish grin.

Meghan Kelser: Smitty better not get to cocky here, Damon knows him just as well!

Clearwater: if there is one thing neither of these men lack is confidence!

Smith goes back in for another Knucklelock, and this time, Damon accepts. Smitty immediately gets the physical control of the lock, pushing Damon against the ropes while also shoving him down to the mat just a bit. Feeling the pressure of losing control of the hold, Damon snaps off a sharp kick to Smith’s left shin that pays dividends as Smith relents on the hold and Damon takes control. After a couple of seconds of Warren pushing down on him, Smith breaks the hold and tries to surprise The Nitemare with a lariat, but he dodges it and smacks Smith with a massive knife-edged chops as he turns around. Smith staggers backwards into the ropes, the force of the chop surprising him somewhat, and Damon takes swift advantage of this, unleashing chop after chop onto Smith’s chest that could be heard in the upper reaches of Hanger 18. Smitty's chest already is turning red after about four of these chops, so he makes a quick move and piefaces Damon down to the mat in order to get his to stop. Unfortunately for him, Damon rolls right back to his feet and ducks the attempted roundhouse before actually sending him to the mat with another chop. Making it back to his feet, Smitty sees another painful hand coming, so he reacts quickly, catching the hand right before it hits him and retaliating with a massive European upper cut that sends Damon tumbling down onto his ass. Damon gets back up slowly as Smitty gingerly rubs his raw chest, as Damon nods a bit whilst holding his cheek. With a nasty little smirk on his face, Damon explodes onto Smith, raining down a melee of rights and lefts that Smitty is able to block most of. As Smith is pushed towards the corner from the flurry of Damon’s offensive, Damon goes for a Pele Kick but Smitty, the wiry veteran is able to block.

Mad Max: I didn’t know Damon could be so... stiff.

Meghan Kelser: That’s he said.

St. Remington: ha! I see what you did there.

Meghan Kelser: A monkey could see what I did there, bro.

Finally, Smith reaches his limit of how much he can take from Damon’s melee and catches one of his kicks before reversing places with his, sending Damon back first into the corner, where Smith starts to hammer him with body blows, most of them getting through thanks to the surprise reversal. Eddie Silk quickly moves in, pulling Smitty off of Damon as the F’N Psycho slumps into the corner a bit. Smith lets Damon stumble out of the corner, but then grabs his arm and makes an attempt at an Irish whip, only to find himself careening into the ropes instead. Damon leapfrogs overtop of Smith on the rebound, and then surprises him and most of the audience as well as he snaps his legs around Smith’s head and flips him into a hurricanrana as he comes back. Damon keeps the hold on for the pinfall...

KICKOUT by Smitty.

Damon gets back to his feet, but Smith rolls to the outside instead, needing a breather. As Smitty catches his breath, Damon becomes impatient in the ring, walking over and springing onto the top rope for an 450 springboard clothesline! Smith sees Damon coming though... and barely ducks out of the way of impact! As Damon lays on the floor dazed, Smith rolls in and out of the ring to break the count, and then gets to work on Damon, grabbing a handful of hair and pulling him to his feet before nailing him with a couple of nasty forearms to the face. Damon tries to fire back with some of his own, but his disorientation from doing the high risk move, a move he usually does in the ring, causes them to be weaker than usual as Smitty throws some downward elbows into the mix. Seeing Damon dazed, Smith decides to wake his up by whipping his into the barrier. Damon arches his back from the sharp pain, but doesn't have much time to absorb the pain as Smith charges his. Thinking quickly, Damon back body drops him over the guardrail, but Smitty shows amazing agility by landing on his feet. Damon stumbles forward to try and clear his head, not noticing as Smitty sets up a chair in the crowd of troops. Smith rushes forward, using the chair to leap high over the barrier as he goes for a flying clothesline... AND Damon CATCHES HIM WITH THE BADD DREAM!

Mad Max: DAMN! Smith JUST GOT KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT!

Meghan Kelser: Smitty needs to be careful, he doesn’t want to let his confidence get the best of him with high risks.

Mad Max: Yeah, but when the risks pay off, it's all the reward that they need.

Damon slides into the ring as Eddie gets to the count of 5, leaving Smith on the outside slowly getting to his feet. Silk gets to 8 before Smitty is able to pull himself into the ring, and that's when Damon goes back on the attack, pouncing onto the champion with a wrenching side-headlock. Damon screams as he looks to pull Smith’s head right off of his shoulders, but he manages to get back to his knees, then his feet even as Damon ramps up the pressure. Smith goes to shove him into the ropes in order to break the hold, but Damon manages to hang on and drag the champion right back onto the mat. Even though it's painful, the headlock doesn't seem to be having the effect Damon wants, so he grabs Smith’s arm, twisting into a ground hammerlock while pulling on his head with the other arm in a variant of the camel clutch. However painful the hold may be, it's also a loosely held hold by it's definition and Jones is able to roll and squirm enough to shove Damon off of him. Grabbing onto the ropes as a desperation to keep Damon off of him, Smith gets back to his feet and backdrops a charging Damon off the top rope, but the IC Champion manages to float over and land on the apron. Smith senses this and slams Damon with a nasty forearm to the face before pulling him into a Front Facelock across the apron and lifting his up, making an attempt a Vertical Suplex into the ring, but Damon again floats out of it, landing behind Smitty and attempting to lock in a Dragon Sleeper... Smith is able to roll out of it, but Damon doesn't give him any quarter as he rushes forward going for a running knee to the face. Smitty reacts almost immediately, hitting Damon with a drop-toe hold that sends Damon throat first into the middle rope. Smith gets back to his feet as Damon slings back onto his knees, and that's when the Mr Architect attacks, punishing him with a massive roundhouse kick to the face that sends the challenger sprawling onto the mat. Smith doesn't let up, as he just blasts Damon with nasty kick after nasty kick to the face while Fear Itself is on the mat.

Clearwater: Come on Smith, let him up!

Mad Max: Getting the red headed step child treatment!

Meghan Kelser: Freckles and all?

Mad Max: Freckles and all.

Feeling satisfied that Damon is down for a little bit, Smith drags Damon near one of the corners and hops onto the top rope. Taking a small moment to pose to the crowd's pleasure, Smitty goes for a flying double stomp onto Damon’s chest, but Damon rolls out of the way and brings him down into an anklelock! Smitty immediately begins fighting the hold, kicking at Damon’s face to keep him from cinching the move in on him. He finally gets him to relinquish his grip, but as he crawls to his feet, Damon is on him once again, dropping an elbow onto his back in order to bring him to the mat before he makes a play at reapplying the anklelock. Smith immediately rolls over and slams a boot into Damon’s gut, but he keeps his grip on Smith’s ankle even as he falls to the mat. Taking advantage, he tugs hard on Smith’s leg to roll him back onto his stomach and then applies a reverse Figure Four leglock. However, Smith is able to reach out and BARELY get to the bottom rope in order to cause the break. Damon and Smith get back to their feet and Damon is the first to strike with a sick forearm shot to the face that pushes Smith back a step. However, Smith Jones doesn't take this lying down as he roars back with a forearm shot of his own that equals Damon’s in force. Soon enough, the two are trading forearm shots back and forth to the crowd's increasing delight. Smitty tries to break the monotony with a roundhouse kick, but Damon ducks it and the backfist that Smitty attempts. As Smitty's balance is off, Damon double butterfly's Smith’s arms and throws him backwards with a release Tiger Suplex! Smith rolls back to his feet, dazed and confused, and Warren goes for the kill, locking in a reverse Front Facelock as he goes for a Reverse DDT... Smitty hangs on, pulling Damon into an attempt to pull off the move. Damon flips out of the move, however, and gets back to his feet as he goes for yet another attempt at JUSTIFIABLE HOMICIDE! but Smith drops to a knee to avoid his friends finisher and comes up with TRAGIC NEWS.

Clearwater: Nice reversal by Smith.

Mad Max: I'm telling you man, Damon’s going to hit his finisher one of these times, and that'll be IT for Smith Jones at Battlecade!

St. Remington: Wouldn't doubt you on that one bro.

Mad Max: I’m not your bro, pal.

St. Remington: Well I’m not your pal, friend.

Mad Max: I’m not your friend, guy!

Meghan Kelser: Remi, don’t get her going.

Smitty goes for the cover.

Smitty takes the kickout in stride as he goes on the offensive, rolling out of the pinfall attempt and locking Damon’s head under his left arm with a textbook Dragon Sleeper. Smith wrenches HARD back on Damon’s head, feeling good about the reversal of fortunes from the headlock earlier in the match, but this is not to last as Damon surprises Smitty with his flexibility as he brings his leg up to knee Smith in the face to break out of the hold. Both wrestlers rolling to their feet, Smith is the first to strike with a nasty stiff kick to Damon’s leg, but that just seems to wake the NITEMARE as Damon fires off, one after another and in brutal succession, kick after kick after kick to Smitty’s left knee, the assault so furious that he's unable to retaliate against him. Smith tries to shove Damon back onto the ropes in order to regain some semblance of control, but those hopes are dashed as Damon bounces off the ropes and drills him right in the face with a stiff running Enziguri! Smitty falls to the mat and Damon goes for the cover.

Hopping to his feet, Damon snaps off one of his crux poses and waits, prepping himself as Smith drags himself to his feet. Smith turns around, and walks right into a inverted frankensteiner... But Smitty has his stablemate scouted very well as he quickly reverses it into an attempt at the POINT OF CONTROVERSY! However for him, Damon also has his stablemate well scouted and flips out of the way, but can't capitalize on it as Smith drills Damon with a nasty back elbow to the back of the head. Damon tries to stumble forward, but Smith grabs the challengers head and pulls it down onto his shoulder with a stiff neckbreaker! Smith turns around and gets to his feet, dragging Damon to his knees with a handful of hair before pulling him into a standing head-scissors. He lifts him onto his shoulders and runs forward, crashing him down onto the mat with a running Ligerbomb! Eddie drops down to make the count.

Smitty seems undeterred as he pulls Damon back up to his feet once more, positioning himself behind Damon’s arm before he drops his with a Uranage suplex right onto his HEAD! Smith pops back up to his feet and drags his thumb across his throat signalling for the end. He goes to pick him back up... but Damon catches him with an inside cradle!

Mad Max: Damn that was close!

Meghan Kelser: What’s with the infatuation for this guy? I can’t imagine Victoria would appreciate it

Mad Max: Oh she definitely appreciates it, she’s kinky.

Meghan Kelser: Should have known.

Smitty doesn't waste any time being surprised and goes on the offensive again, pulling Damon close before smashing forearms onto his forehead repeatedly. Damon makes a weak attempt to push Smitty away, but Smith just shrugs that off and silences Damon’s resistance with a couple of nasty knees to the gut that drops his to his knees. Sensing an opprotunity is afoot, Smith pushes Damon down to the mat and waits as he slowly gets to his feet before he launches himself at him off the ropes and NEARLY KICKS His HEAD OFF WITH A HUGE YAKUZA KICK! Damon stumbles backwards and out of the ring as Smith takes the opportunity to wave at the Architect rivals at the commentary table. Damon coughs on the outside and tries to get to his feet, keeping an eye on The Cowgirls as Max holds up a sign saying “Show me them nips!”. Smith doesn't give Damon much time to recover as he bounces off the ropes once more, taking flight with a swan dive Plancha.. AND Jaime dives infront of his man to save him! Smith crashes into his partner. Damon’s eyes go wide as he checks on his man. Jaime gives hin a sign he’s ok. Damon is furious as he slides back into the ring to break Silk’s countout and that’s no bueno for the The Champion as Damon plasters him in the side of the skull with a nasty soccer punt as soon as he makes it through the ropes. Not relenting one bit even as we see that Smith’s eyebrow is now busted open, Damon smashes him with 3 more boots before dropping to the mat, absolutely destroying Smitty's skull with a volley of KNEE STRIKES. The troops actually wince at this display from Damon, but that doesn't bother him one bit as he drags Smitty to his feet and whips him violently into the corner so hard that Smith falls flat on his face from the force! Pulling Jones back up to his feet, Damon reminds him of how nasty his chops are with a couple of knife-edges to the chest before picking him up and placing him seated on the top rope. Damon follows up and leaps onto his shoulders, trying to hit a Frankensteiner off the top, but Smitty manages to hold onto the top rope and stay there! Damon still is able to land on his feet in the ring, surprising Smith with a spinning EuroCut, but Damon himself is surprised as Smith takes the blow and grabs his head under his arm in a reverse Front Facelock before spinning off the top with a diamond cutter! Damon bounces from the impact, and Smitty makes the cover...

Clearwater: Both of these competitors pulling out all of the stocks in order to win.

St. Remington: It's Battlecade! Third Biggest show of the year, might as well go balls out!

Meghan Kelser: But what about next week?

St. Remington: Worry about it next week, bro.

Slapping the mat a bit in frustration, Smith gets back to his feet and brings Damon into the corner. Smith makes sure he stays there with a couple of nasty elbows to the face, and then props his onto the top rope and pulls him down with a Double Arm DDT as Damon is laid on his stomach. Smith signals that THIS IS IT, and hits the middle rope in an attempt to hit THE GRAVITAS! Damon is able to roll out of the however, and plants Smitty’s face into the mat. Rushing forward and trying to surprise Smitty, Damon grabs Smith’s head as he gets up in pain and makes an attempt at the PSTDRIVER, but Smitty counters by grabbing Warren’s foot and violently twisting his friends leg that spins The Nitemare through the middle rope onto the ring apron. Smitty stumbles away, secure in thinking that Damon is out of the ring, but he surprises him as he springboards off the top rope and NAILS Smith with a modified JUSTIFIABLE HOMICIDE!! Smith falls backwards into the ropes from the impact, which was dead on perfect to the face. Damon rolls to his feet and yanks Smitty out of the ropes, hooking both legs as Eddie Silk makes the count...

KICKOUT

The troops are stunned The Architect kicked out of the stiff as fuck finisher as Damon argues with the referee!!! He basically says fuck it and goes to lock in a Figure Four. The troops explode as Damon cinches in the submission, but this is another move that Smith has well scouted as he immediately starts to pull himself to the ropes. Damon, try as he might to increase the agony that Smith is going through, can't prevent him from reaching out and grabbing ahold of the top rope with his free arm. Eddie Silk starts to make the count for Damon to break the hold...

Damon breaks the hold just before Silk gets to five and gets in his face, screaming at him "I'VE GOT UNTIL FIVE!"

Mad Max: He HAS TILL FIVE!

Meghan Kelser: I think he said that.

He drags Smith away from the ropes and picks him back up but Smith surprises him as he nails a European uppercut to daze his opponent. Taking advantage of the momentary daze, Smith kicks Damon down to a knee with two kicks; one to the chest and one to the back. Smith takes a small moment to catch his breath, with the match just about at the 20 minute mark already, before he bounces off the ropes for a clothesline!! However, Damon ducks and Smith stumbles a bit. Smith’s back is to Damon and he IMMEDIATELY goes into action, dropping him to the mat in an attempt at the Fujiwara armbar, but Smitty has the good sense to roll through and boot him in the top of the skull to get him off. Damon gets back to his feet and Smith stuns him with an elbow to the gut before he goes for a superkick but Damon catches his foot and twists him violently to the right. Wobbling a bit as he gets back up, with the match taking it's toll on his as well, Damon plants Smith down into the mat with a Death Valley Driver! Rolling over Smith, Damon slumps down onto him for the cover...

KICKOUT!

Damon looks extremely fustrated at this, but keeps on the attack as he rolls off of Smitty and climbs to the top rope. Taking a small moment to judge the distance, Damon leaps off and connects with a ASAI MOONSAULT that knocks the wind right out of the champion. Damon takes his time getting back up, clearing his head from all the attacks on it in this match as Silk starts the 10 count. Damon gets to his feet at 4, but Smitty makes it to his at 7 and the two stablemates meet up in the middle of the ring, exchanging forearms once more as on the outside.

Mad Max: I need to catch my breath after that one!

Meghan Kelser: And people wonder why we have chosen to go after the Architects. They are the standard around here

Mad Max: Unlike those Action Wrestling rejects.

Damon gets the advantage in the exchange of forearms, pushing Smith into the ropes before grabbing him with an Irish Whip. Smith ducks under the attempt of a crescent kick, but is unable to mount any offensive as Damon floors him with another massive chop to the chest! Smith gets back to his feet, and Damon puts him down onto the mat with another huge knife-edge. Smith somehow makes it back up again, but it's all for naught as Damon rushes forward and starts to hammer on him with elbows to the face and kicks to his punished left knee. Smith drops to the mat, for good this time, and Damon doesn't relent on the punishment as he unloads with another kick to the side of the skull. There's a look of bloodlust on Damon’s face as he goes crazy, sending stiff kick after stiff kick into Smitty's head. Finally, this is too much Silk to allow as he pulls Damon away from Smith, who looks knocked the fuck out on the mat. Damon argues a bit with Silk, his anger overtaking his logic, and pushes him away to go back for more as Smith gets to his knees. Seeing Damon’s approach and probably knowing he can't take much more of it, Smitty goes for the desperation move and yanks Damon forward and out of the ring. Unfortunately for him, Damon’s reflexes save him again as he stays on the apron. Smitty slowly gets to his feet as Damon waits, catching his breath a bit as well. Finally, Smith turns around as Damon springboards off the top with a flying forearm, but Smith manages to duck! Warren gets back to his feet and turns around... POINT OF CONTROVERSY from Jones! Smith can't capitalize on the attack though, as both competitors lay on the mat exhausted. Silk restarts his count...

Just like the commentators at ringside, Smith looks completely astounded that he kicked out. Slamming his fist into Damon’s leg out of frustration, Smith drags himself to his feet and stares down Eddie Silk. He begins to argue, ranting and raving about how that couldn't of possibly been a two count as Damon starts to get on his feet behind him. Smitty is so involved in his frustrations with Silk that he doesn't even notice as Damon sneaks up behind him AND HE HITS THE MERCY KILLING as Smitty turned around! Smitty practically bounces off of the mat but as Damon gets to his feet, he doesn't go for the cover. He stands there, contemplating a bit over what to do now, before he points to the top rope. Walking over top of Jones, Damon hits the top rope... Smitty slowly gets to his feet as The Nitemare leaps off the top rope and hits the DEUS EX MACHINA!!!!!!

Clearwater: THIS COULD BE IT FIRENDS! Smitty HAS GOT ALL THE MOMENTUM.

Mad Max: Haven't you been paying attention at all? Nobody seems to get momentum for more than 3 moves before there's a reversal.

Clearwater: It's a testament to these two warriors and how prepared they are for each other.

Smith Jones looks on in disbelief as Damon Warrens is awarded the World Championship belt to a thunderous applause that drowns out his music. A chant starts in the crowd, at first indistinguishable from the cheering, but soon words begin to form. "THANK YOU, SMITTY! THANK YOU, SMITTY!" As Warrens basks in the adulation, he casts a knowing look at his friend and fellow Architect. They exchange a nod. This is far from over.
