An army of people march alongside one another. The stride and pace suggests they’re in a rush. Although the people are all civilians they are wearing camo jackets and trousers. The group of about thirty hike their way over grassy land with no leader, as if drawn as one herd. They part allowing a pickup truck to come from behind through the group. It comes to a stop where the grass land meets tarmac. Muertos hops out the back of the pickup dressed for war just like the army behind him. As he approaches the camera the rest of the thirty pile into the bed of the truck.
El Muertos: Amigos are you doing well I hope?
He grabs the camera and stares directly down the lens.
El Muertos: Alpha I am doing very well. El día está a punto de cambiar. There is a war coming, please amigos, prepare for a fight worse than you’ve seen before. Let me tell you this. People are angry, politics, welfare, health and poverty. A cooking pot of anger is going to spill in this country, and the rest of the world watches. But they too will be solo es cuestión de tiempo hasta un apocalipsis.
He starts to walk back to the truck.
El Muertos: This road is the border. Mexico has been forced to watch the north thrive and succeed, while the latin continent suffers under the feet of the white rich first world. We are invading. See the lifeblood of your economy is hard working people. Real people. Not your fake politicians and businessmen. Although they're the same thing in this joke of a country. We are the people and we know what you think of us. You think the Mexicans want to steal and suck the money out of the government. No amigos. We want a better world. The sooner the elite respect the people, the sooner we have peace. A war is starting.
He gets back to the truck and rests up on the front hood while his army is still climbing into the truck.
El Muertos: But I don’t need to lecture you on politics. Todas sabemos lo jodido que se está convirtiendo el mundo. But the same shit is happening here in Alpha. If things don’t change a war will break out. Can’t you see there is an elite in Alpha, and not because they are the best but because they keep the rest of us down and fighting amongst ourselves. Real people, struggling to survive. Just as I call for my country men to stop fighting each other and stand against our oppressors. Alpha’s oppressors are the Architects. Es hora de que peleemos con ellos. I call for Alpha to stand up and fight, not each other, but the elite that hold us down. The people need to take back control. Damien Warrens caused me and others the chance to contend for the title. He embarrassed me at libertad o muerte and has yet to face me like a man. At Battlecade I challenge the Alpha roster to look at themselves and think about who is controlling us. Who has too much power? Warren and Jones have the top spot and they not gonna share it with the rest of us. It’s us against them. The real people.
As everyone has piled into the back of the truck’s bed and cabin Muertos walks around the side into the front passenger seat. On the dash is a map that Muertos passes over to the driver, who pauses to study it before starting up the engine.
El Muertos: A couple of weeks ago the darkness helped me and PKA win our match. Last week there was no darkness in the arena, but in my heart. There’s a feeling inside of me. La oscuridad se está apoderando de donde había dolor. I feel power coming over me changing me, every day I feel closer to death. Everyday stronger, everyday more ready to fight this war, to take the battle to the real evil in Alpha. Last week LA Stylez felt the strength of the darkness that defeated him. El tonto debería pensar en eso. Stylez should think about the power that follows me, and join this army. Fight for change, not just selfishly fight for himself.
The truck pulls off onto the road.
El Muertos: My army is on it’s way. Jason Ryan and Aaron Blaze will be the first to fight the darkness, to fight the death’s army in the darkness. Crees que puedes luchar contra esas probabilidades. Hell LA Stylez if you don’t embrace this army either you better watch your back too amigo. The three of you don’t see the fight I'm trying to bring, I know it’s too hard for you imbéciles to understand what we are trying to do. This army will march on Battlecade, the three of you will be collateral damage, si no te sales del camino. It’s time the real people win this war.
Muertos pulls on balaclava. The truck is speeding as fast as the driver dares to push it down the back country road.
El Muertos: Death knows many enemies, but you’re a fool if you think death loses. The darkness looms over Alpha, the perfect shade to launch a war. Ryan, Blaze and Stylez you are my battle, a fight I can take on with the darkness pure in my heart. But after the battle we storm the rest of Alpha. It’s time the real people find success, I will open the way for them. Sacrificaré mi cuerpo por la lucha para ganar a los hermanos de guerra. Be ready Alpha for death’s Army. Be ready architect’s for a battle of darkness. The people will rise.
The truck quickly approaches a checkpoint on the road. With their headlights off the three guards, barely awake, stationed at the checkpoint are only alarmed by the rumble of the engine. They ready themselves as the truck crashes through the barrier, wood splinting and sent flying in all directions. The guards are stunned as the truck disappears into the darkness. The army marches on.
