Dr. Thomas Fischer sits in his motorized wheelchair. The computer screen flashes in front of his face as his eyes flicker back and forth. Behind Fisher standing rather menacingly is the 7’5 and 500lb Soul Reaver. He stands as still as the wheelchair bound Fischer. After several seconds the digital voice of Fischer’s computer comes to life.
“Last Monday night was only the beginning. Soul Reaver’s destruction was on full display as he dismantled Blue Trunks. Blue Trunks is far from a formidable opponent. He exists in APW as a placeholder. As a wrestler to feed to monsters like Soul Reaver so that he won’t destroy any of the other precious talent. But at some point you have to give Soul Reaver a real challenge. This week is not that week. The wrestlers that Soul Reaver will devour this week may be more talented than Blue Trunks, but only ever so slightly. Aaron Osmosis, Aaron Matthews and John McDaniels quite simply are not of the right caliber to take on Soul Reaver. This statement is not being made from a place of ignorance. I am saying that as an intellectual and someone who has spent time delving into the careers of these three men. Fortunately I have a lot of time on my hands these day to do research.”
“When I brought Soul Reaver to APW, I did so to rid this company of the filth. I did so to help Jason Ryan and Aaron Blaze take out people like Eli Beazley. People who are not worth their spot on this planet, let alone their spot in this company. Soul Reaver is here to destroy anyone that stands in the way of the Bloodline.”
The digitized voice goes silent.
“I did not bring Soul Reaver to APW to destroy Aaron Matthews, John McDaniels or Aaron Osmosis. Sure, they deserve to be destroyed. I didn’t bring Soul Reaver to APW to destroy the bottom feeders. Our attention can not be wasted on men that will never amount to anything in APW. However, when Soul Reaver gets in the ring it doesn’t matter if you are a bottom feeder or a great white. You will be at his mercy. Soul Reaver is a simple man with a simple mind. He knows only one mode inside the ring and that is destruction.”
“Aaron Matthews, Aaron Osmosis and John McDaniels you don’t deserve the beating that is coming your way. You three serve a great purpose in APW. You serve as the fodder for the bigger and better. You are the foundation for which the success of people like Soul Reaver will be built upon. A company needs people like you to fill out the bottom of the card each week. I appreciate you. I made a lot of money taking advantage of workers like you. Workers who got the job done but never had the initiative to climb the ladder. We appreciate you but this week you were dealt a shit hand.”
“You drew the short end of the stick. No one wants to find themselves in a match with Soul Reaver. But unfortunately you three find yourself in that predicament. You may not be the filth we came to destroy but you will be destroyed none the less. Gentlemen, I hope for your sake that Soul Reaver doesn’t leave you with any career threatening injuries. Sure in the grand scheme of things you three are quite replaceable. Life in APW would move on, but as a former employer I know what a pain in the ass it can be to go through the hiring process. So Gentlemen, best of luck. Reaver is coming for you.”
Thomas Fischer and Soul Reaver move away for our screen as we move on to the next piece of APW programming.
