(The scene opens up with an aerial style view coming down into an empty arena. We see the ring set up in the centre of the room; we see metal folded out chairs and a cushioned barrier normally protecting the fans from the wrestlers. As the camera reverts to a normal viewing we pan around and see Alex Scott sitting in one of the metal folded out chairs dead in the center of the audience should be. Alex is wearing a grey Nike Tracksuit with his hood over his head.)
“The world is at a crisis. Countries from all over the world have been ordered be their respected governments to be in total lockdown. From Europe to Italy to my hometown of Los Angeles California have been ordered to keep off the streets. People acting like savages in supermarket chains and stockpiling food and the basic essentials. And with all this going on in the world, my mind is asking one question. Why haven’t I received my Junior Heavyweight championship title rematch yet? I mean it’s been months now and yet nothing. No word from APW in honoring my contract which states title rematches. And yet my opponent this week is making a damn mockery of the junior division.”
(Alex pauses)
“My opponent is Eli Beazley and is the current Junior Heavyweight champion but more importantly he is a damn joke. Eli Beazley is walking around with my Junior Heavyweight championship over his shoulder. You see Eli and I are completely different in every way and when I see Eli wrestle. I see that he is only comfortable with people who are as crafty as he is in the ring. I’m a machine inside the ring and I can outwrestle anyone. I have been on a roll lately and winning every match. In a way Eli you are lucky that this isn’t a championship match because if it was I’d be getting my championship title back.”
(Alex smiles)
“You Eli should be panicking you Eli should be scared of what’s coming your way because WHEN I get my title shot rematch then I’ll reclaim that title. I’ll show the world that you’re nothing more than a small footnote in the title history. I’ll bring that title back to where it’s needed and that’s with healthy competition. I’ll be a fighting champion and I’ll accept challengers from all over the world. Unlike you, you have been avoiding me ever since you became champion. And I can see it in your eyes, every time a show was announced you’d look and pray that it wasn’t me you’d be facing. But now it has come true. It’s set in stone and this Monday Night Metal we meet in that ring.”
(Alex points to the ring)
“I have been itching and I have been drooling at the mouth to get my title back and I am so close in my journey that nobody is gonna’ stop me. I have fought my way back to winning ways that I have been what a true champion is. Showing the world what pure will and determination is inside that ring and there you sit Eli with a piece of shit grin on your face mocking that title. Mocking the hard work that others like me have helped mold that title into what it was and should be. A prize for the top athletes of this business.”
(Alex grins)
“And not a prize for an over-bearing asshole. This showdown between you and me Eli is just the first because once I beat you and make you look like an even bigger clown than you already do look like then APW management will have no choice in the matter but to give me my rightfully deserved title rematch that I have been waiting for and when that happens I’ll gladly slap you around some more and take MY Junior Heavyweight title back. Say your goodbyes now Eli Beazley because it’s only a matter of WHEN.”
