(The scene opens up and was inside of the TD Garden Arena in Boston, Massachusetts. As we walk down a hallway we can see it’s clearly an empty building. A few seconds later, as we pan around a corner we see that Alex Scott is in the building. Alex who is sitting on some production boxes. Alex who is wearing a black Nike tracksuit sits there in thought.)
“You know ever since I lost the Jr. Heavyweight championship to Cecilia who I have not had my return match yet, ever since then I have been on a downward spiral. I have had everything in the palm of my hands and it has slowly been dissolving away from me. Time and time again and match after match I have felt it. Like last week I try and do the right thing, and give respect to where it’s due and I try and do right by my tag-team partner even though it was like carrying a dead horse didn’t do me any favours either. So where do I go from here? That is simple I’m going to the top. I’m still going to be the face of APW.”
(Alex grins)
“Ya’ll are wondering how? How can I be this confident in myself after so many losses? It’s easy. I look in the mirror everyday and I see the truth. The truth in myself in my ability and I have complete faith in fate. Fate will always find a way in order to be set in stone and my fate tells me I’m here for greatness. But I have to go through trials and I have. These trials have shown me a few things that set me above everyone in APW. I have grit. I have ruthless aggression and I never say I quit. That is the difference between me and many of my opponents this week. This week fate has found its way to me again by putting me in a Battle Royal contendership match for the APW world championship. That’s right; whoever wins get’s a shot at the world heavyweight championship against either Spartan or Smithy Jones. But before we find out who I have to go through a sea of APW talent. Thirteen other APW superstars are all eyeing that one chance, and for some of them, it’s gonna be there only chance.”
(Alex smiles)
“First we have is Jaice Wilds a guy who I know from also being in Action Wrestling with, and have only met in battle royals. Once again I and Jaice meet in a battle royal. It would be interesting if we meet in singles action. I mean we both have similar styles in the ring. We both like to fly and be innovative in the ring. But there’s a big difference Jaice. While we both have same styles, you do it in a fly and see what happens sort of way, while I do it with perfection. My in-ring style has been honed and crafted to perfection and that’s down to hard work and unlike you Jaice Wilds, who has been ever-so lucky in what you’ve accomplished. But you will soon face me in that ring and then you’ll realize that damn I was lucky. You’ll accept the truth I say and you’ll see that you’re not even in my league. Once that happens I’ll throw you over the top rope and watch your dreams shatter into pieces.”
(Alex smiles)
“Next we have is Marko Rask a kid who claims to be a trillionaire going because he went viral. Hey Kid, if you’re a trillionaire. Why the fuck are you trying to be a wrestler for? I mean seriously, shouldn’t you be in be in some mansion somewhere on the Hollywood hills with beautiful women hanging on each arm and the best cars on your driveway? Shouldn’t you. But you know what I see? I see a big fat lie. A lie that you have told that hasn’t just gone viral but it’s spiraled out of control. Sure you may have had your fifteen minutes of fame on the internet, anyone can get that. But being a trillionaire don’t make me laugh. I bet you haven’t even got $20 bucks to your name. Like I said, if you had that sort of money, you would be flaunting it. That is why I’m straight out calling you a liar and a fraud. And I’ll prove it as well in the ring, that is if you show up. Hopefully for your sake Marko Rask that you have a thought and sneak out of this business quietly. And nobody will even remember you. Do yourself a favor kid and don’t show up.”
(Alex smiles)
“Next we have is Cray Mitchell another new signing for APW who likes to sign and dance. Cray Mitchell brings song and dance to his wrestling repertoire and I’m sure it looks cool and it’s got you to APW now. But this is a different sort of stage. This is wrestling. And your dance and singing skills are going to be very limited to you; if at all nobody will care. You better bring some actual wrestling skills because you’ll be laughed at and thrown out of here by your head and straight out the door.”
(Alex grins)
“Potential is a word branded around wrestling far too often and some wrestlers it is wasted on. Some like Damon Warrens. You see when Damon Warrens signed with APW the word potential circled him too. The so-called Nitemare King had the word potential on him and yet his done nothing, have you? Damon Warrens you’ve done absolutely nothing in APW to be deserving of the word potential. And you will never be deserving of anything else. This battle royal it will be shown that you’re not even a flash in the pan. And for someone who has experience that is a sad tale to tell.”
(Alex smiles)
“Then we have is John Blade.”
(Alex laughs hysterical)
“John Blade is nothing more than a male version of a ring-rat to wrestling companies. And I mean not the decent ring-rats. I mean a lowest of lows ring-rat to wrestling companies because let’s be honest. What have you done John Blade? NOTHING. You show up every now and then and get some time in the ring but in complete and utter honesty here John they feel sorry for you. They see you as nothing more than a jobber, hell not even a jobber. A Jobber has a better chance than you, you my friend don’t deserve to be in this match and it’s gonna be my absolute pleasure throwing you out of this battle royal and that’s for damn sure.”
(Alex smiles)
“Then we have is El Muertos and last week in that tag team match you saw it didn’t you? You saw how I was carrying a dead horse in Flop and it was a no-win match for me either way. However this time it’s different. I have no one to carry and I’ll be looking after me and me only. But what will you are doing? Looking after your undefeated streak? Because that’s gonna be harder this week. Thirteen other man are gunning for you in bringing down the freak that you are. I think your undefeated streak is coming to an end and I’ll be there with a big smile on my face in seeing it end first hand.”
(Alex smiles)
“Then we have a true legend in the business and a true innovator of the Jr Division. Then we have is PKA. And last week I showed you respect and gave you credit before our tag team match because I was excited and I was a fan of yours growing up. But the saying goes you should never meet your idols. And last week standing across from you in that tag team match I saw something. I saw something in your eyes and it was nothing but creed. You wanted the victory for yourself and not the team and you did it. You got the victory. But that look of creed will consume you, it will eat at you and when you fail it will be a bigger shock to you than anything else. And when I throw you out of the ring, I will gladly look down on you and watch the look of shock hit you hard. Just know that.”
(Alex pauses)
“And to anyone else I may have missed I’m sorry but you’re probably not worth me saying anything about anyway. But I will say this. I’m heading into this with every ounce of desire in me and I will walk out of this winner and number one contender, just know this.”
