Personal Bio:
Dean Wolf, born Daniel Dexter, was bullied for the first 15 years of his life until one day, he snapped and took out three of his worst bullies, seriously injuring them in the process and altering their lives forever. After that, he was determined to not take shit from anyone ever again, but his new violent side became uncontrollable, and soon he was fighting everyone. It got to the point where he was almost expelled from school. The only thing that tamed him was Katie Ward, a classmate that became the love of his life. He stifled his compulsion to fight and followed Katie to SUNY Cortland, where they both attended college. However, his love of fighting returned when he saw wrestling on TV one random day, and soon enough, fighting replaced Katie. That, along with his classically bad temper, led Katie to dump him.
He dropped out of college with just two semesters to go and set out to become a professional wrestler, which put a strain on the relationship between he and his father, Phillip. Their relationship took a turn for the worst after Wolf competed in WCF's War Match in 2015. After calling his father to tell him how good he had done, they had a fight over the phone. When Phillip hung up, Wolf vowed never to speak to his father again, but inside, he was hurt and started drinking and taking pills to deal with the pain.
Wolf's addiction quickly made him a joke in WCF. He usually showed up drunk and high to WCF shows, which caused him to not even be booked until he met Bernard Core, a fellow WCF wrestler on a mission to reform America's broken education system. They had a fight at a bar in Corpus Christi and Core challenged Wolf to a match two weeks later. However, the match was just a way for Core to get Wolf into the ring and stage a public intervention. He offered Wolf the chance to come under Core's win and make something of himself again. Wolf agreed. Core got him cleaned up and converted him to his crusade. Along with cornering Core during his matches, Wolf was also Core's Dean of Discipline in The Core Institute, Core's private school.
After Core and Wolf left WCF in February 2016, Wolf continued in his office at The Core Institute, where his brand of discipline went beyond corporal punishment. In the summer of 2018, Core and Wolf returned to wrestling to participate in the Sixth Dimension, a round-robin tournament on the WCF Network. Wolf's job was to ensure that Core won the tournament. However, he began to see that Core only valued him for his dirty work. When they were supposed to have their match, Core forced Wolf to forfeit to him, a move that gave Core an easier path towards the finals. Wolf eventually did not make it to the finals (partly due to his forfeiture). The two had a falling out, but when Core fought Cliff of Doom in the finals, he begged Wolf to interfere on his behalf. Wolf refused and walked out on Core, allowing Cliff of Doom to win the match fair and square.
Wolf abandoned all semblance of the high life he had acquired under Core's tutelage and set out to resume the career he had stalled. He came back to WCF as his own man and won the WCF Hardcore Championship within two weeks of his return. In the meantime, he tried to reconnect with his father, but Phillip resented the fact that Wolf's refusal to see him caused Wolf to not come to be with his mother while she died from cancer and did not attend her funeral, an action that Wolf sorrowfully regretted. Meanwhile, his time in WCF was not any better. He had a bad relationship with management, and after losing the title to Kennedy Matthews, left WCF for good. He only returned for WCF's last show, Endgame, where he defeated Bernard Core.
He picked up his career again when he signed with APW in June 2019, and has since been trying to put back together the relationships he shattered and apologize for the horrible acts of his past. Only time will tell if he will succeed.
