Character Name: Bernard “Bernie” Whitman
Nickname: “Barnyard”
Hometown: Ironton, Ohio
Height: 6’ 9”
Weight: 345 lbs.
Alignment: Face
In-Ring Style: Big Boi Powerhouse
Bio: Bernard left the Air Force to start a family with his high school sweetheart. While in the service, he found an aptitude for wrestling that led to him being discovered in the indie circuit by Midwestern promoters. After bouncing around various companies, he finally found consistent booking, but even the good times must balance. Bernard had a tryout for now defunct promotion New Blood Wrestling at the behest of old friend, Jo Lamarche, his wife departed to the clouds after a long battle with cancer. The result kept him from making that next big push in his career because Bernard was hell bent to be a good dad to his three daughters. Only with their combined strength did get back into the ropes, re-lace his boots and return to a sport that loved him years prior. Now approved for competition in Alpha Pro-Wrestling, Barnyard will do everything he can to live his dream deferred but not forgotten.
He has three daughters: (Zina age 11, Billie age 8, Liza age 4) they’re his world, and he a very protective papa bear over them. They also chose his seemingly ill-fitting theme scene. He has “Birdie” tattooed on his left shoulder in memory of his late wife. Some might mistake him for a softie—and he totally is in my aspects—but his in-ring power never stops him from whooping ass. His Air Force rank (ret.) was a staff sergeant. Bernie doesn’t want fans to think of him as soldier, only a dad doing his best.
Attire: Black mid-length trunks w/ silver trim and “BARNYARD” in pearlescent white across the butt; white heavy-duty kneepads. Entrance: blue camo fatigue jacket and mirrored aviator glasses.
Theme song: “Me!” – Taylor Swift feat. Brandon Urie
Pic Base: Keith Lee
Entrance: Blue lights overtake the arena just as a streaking pyro streaks across the area like ordinance. After the ensuing explosion, “Me!” plays out Barnyard from Gorilla position to adoring fans. He then crosses his arms for a second round of blue-white pryo going off around him.
Jessica Kaine: On his way to the ring from Ironton, Ohio… weighing 345 pounds… Bernard “Barnyard” Whitman!
