(The scene opens up and was outside in the sunny streets of New Mexico. The streets are filled with people getting on with their day to day lives. A few seconds later we see Alex Scott walking the streets with his Junior Heavyweight championship over his shoulder. Alex is wearing some black jeans, a black V-Neck t-shirt with sun-glasses hanging from the t-shirt.)
“ It’s been almost three weeks now since Omega Pay-Per-View kicked off and I faced off against Ashley Derringer. It’s almost three week now since I proved everyone wrong and I defeated Ashley Derringer. Ashley Derringer somehow got himself a Junior Heavyweight title match without actually being a Junior Heavyweight. But I guess he was management’s new favorite toy and they gave him a chance. But look what happened?”
(Alex looks down at the Junior Heavyweight championship)
“I retained my title. I proved to the world that I can beat anyone and I now I look ahead. I look ahead into my next chance here in APW.”
(Alex smiles)
“New Year New Me is the saying people are using every year on New Years Eve. It’s a saying for people for them to change their lifes. Whether it’s dieting whether it’s changing bad habits or removing toxic people from their lives. I am not doing that. My new saying is New Year Braver ME. That’s right folks if something in my head is telling me NO then I’m doing it anyway, If I have a gut feeling that something is wrong and off putting then I’m doing it anyway. That is my goal for the new year.”
(Alex continues to walk the streets)
“But the start of the New Year brings something spectacular for the first show back on Monday Night Metal. A royal Rumble. A royal Rumble that every talent signed with APW is involved in and at the end of it gets the chance of a lifetime. The winner of the rumble receives a title shot at the recently vacated World Heavyweight championship. It is a guaranteed shot. And I know I have a huge hurdle to climb but I will have that chance.”
(Alex smiles in confidence)
“I know I have a hurdle to climb looking at some of the names involved I mean looking at all the talent in APW were probably the best roster around. Let’s go through some of those names right now. First of we have Raging Dead. Now Raging Dead and I have met once before and very recently. We were both apart of the Action Wrestling Havoc Cruiserweight Rumble. And yet you walked out with the cruiserweight championship didn’t you? You were the last man standing in THAT match but not in this match. Not in this Rumble and never in APW. Raging Dead this isn’t your chance at anything. This time is MINE NOW.”
(Alex looks down at his Junior Heavyweight championship)
“Next we have is John “Jazz” McCarty a guy I have faced off many times in singles action and I don’t like to admit it but he has beaten me. But that was in singles action. This is a rumble event that can catapult a superstar. And John McCarthy I’m not going to go down easy. I’m fighting until I am the last man standing and I see you fly over and hit the cold mat floor. People may think of you as a saint but you’re gonna feel a wrath like no other if you and I come toe-to-toe in the rumble. Know that.”
(Alex continues to walk)
“Next we have is Zombie McMorris. A guy I have never met in the ring but for a guy who claims to be immortal maybe there’s another chance down the road. Maybe the Zombie McMorris will eventually get his chance when we all die considering his so-called Immortal. But jokes aside Zombie McMorris hasn’t got a chance in zombieland hell in winning this match.”
(Alex laughs)
“Next we have is Lex Collins and not much I know about Lex Collins. But from what I’ve seen he and I are very similar. We both have unbelievable passion and heart for this business and we both want to rise to challenge. But only one of us can. Lex Collins I know you’re new in APW but you’re going to have to wait your damn turn. This is my chance not yours.”
(Alex looks down at the Junior Heavyweight title again)
“Now we have is Ashley Derringer and it’s gonna be bitter sweet knowing that I have beaten you twice in a matter of weeks. Knowing I squashed your chances my at Junior Heavyweight title and soon I’ll squash your chance at the world heavyweight title when I throw you over the top rope and ending whatever dream you have. I’m gonna enjoy watching it turn into dust.”
(Alex pauses)
“And I know there more that I should mention but I don’t just have the time. Anyone else I have missed It wasn’t personal. But when you watch me win this rumble at least you can tell your friends and family about it. That you faced off against a future world champion. See you soon.”
(Scene ends)
