(The scene opens up and was inside of a hotel lobby somewhere in Miami, Florida. As we pan around we see the reception desk with a few female staff working behind and dealing with customers. As a few seconds go by we see that Alex Scott Walking into the lobby. Alex who is wearing some blue jeans, a self-merchandise t-shirt and a brown leather jacket. He walks up to the reception desk and starts speaking with one of the women staff.)
“Hi My name is Tiffany and I’ll be helping you today.” Tiffany says.
“Hi, I’m checking in.” Alex replies
“OK what’s the name under sir?” Tiffany says
“Alex Scott.” Alex says
(A few clicks on her computer Tiffany finds Alex’s name)
“Yes Mr. Scott. We have you in room 512 on the fifth floor. It also says you’re a part of the wrestling crew that are here in town. Sounds cool.” Tiffany giggles as she says it.
“Yes I’m the Alpha Pro Junior Heavyweight Champ.” Alex replies
“That’s cool. Maybe I can come to the show and watch?” Tiffany asks
“Sure. Maybe come up to my room when you get of your shift and we can talk about it.” Alex replies
“I’ll do that.” Tiffany says giggling to herself.
(Tiffany hands Alex his room key-card and he then walks off into the elevator with his luggage in hand. Alex steps in and the elevator doors close behind him.)
(The scene re-opens and was inside the room of Alex Scott. Alex who is sitting at his coffee table, still in the same clothing as earlier. But Alex has the Junior Heavyweight championship gold over his shoulder.)
“Thanksgiving a time of the year that everyone is being thankful for what they have in life. Whether it’s friends or family people all over the country are being thankful. Like me. I too am thankful. I am thankful for my friends and family who believed I could step into the ring and become a champion.”
(Alex looks down at the Junior Heavyweight championship with a smile)
“I’m also thankful for being the junior heavyweight champion. I am thankful that I defeated Tsukiko a few weeks back and EARNED my victory. But now comes the hard part. Now comes every chancer who thinks he or she deserves a title opportunity at my championship. Don’t get me wrong I’m a fighting champion anywhere and anytime. But my opponents have to actually have to earn their chance like I did. Unlike my opponent at Omega.”
(Alex looks at the camera with a cocky smile)
“You see my opponent for Omega hasn’t had to work for anything in his life. His never had to step into the ring and lace up a pair of boots and train twelve hours a day on a daily basis. My opponent Ashley Derringer had to use a backdoor to get signed by APW. Ashley Derringer had to use contacts and connections to get signed by APW. That’s how my opponent has got a contract here in APW.”
(Alex smile again with arrogance)
“But Ashley Derringer I still don’t believe you deserve a title shot at my junior heavyweight championship. Sure last week you beat Voshon Jackson but that was one win. I have been proving why I deserve this title over my shoulder week in and week out. And speaking of last week I teamed with Flop and we defeated Ultimate Destroyer and Road Dawg. I carried my partner to victory last week. That is how much I have earned this championship gold over my shoulder. “
(Alex pauses with arrogance)
“I know exactly who I am facing at Omega and that is you Ashley Derringer and let’s get down to it shall we. My title is supposed to be for junior heavyweight’s emphasis on the word Junior. But let’s look at the size of you? You’re six foot four and you weigh 237 pounds. In what part does that make you a junior heavyweight? It doesn’t. In boxing terms you’re a heavyweight. Hell even in wrestling terms you’re a heavyweight.”
(Alex looks at the camera again)
“The powers that be have graciously given you a chance at my junior heavyweight championship disregarding the entire rule book of my gold. Disregard the pure athletes of this division. But more importantly disregarding my title reign as a joke. But here’s what’s gonna happen. At Omega you’re gonna get your chance. Because I’m a fighting champion. But at Omega I’m gonna show exactly why I became the junior Heavyweight champion in the first place. I’m gonna show you exactly how I overcame the odds and defeated Tsukiko to win this gold. And I’m gonna cut you down to size and exploit you’re flaws.”
(Alex pauses)
“Ashley If you looked in the mirror and looked deep down to it you know you’re damn self that you don’t deserve a title shot at my championship. Whether it’s by what you’ve earned or by the sheer rule book of this Junior Heavyweight title. You don’t belong in the ring with me. And I’m gonna enjoy it so much knocking you off your pedestal and shoving it in the faces of the powers that be who gave you this chance. “
(Alex smiles with arrogance)
“You like to mock my moniker don’t you Ashley? Well when the blinders come off and you see what’s real and in reality that you and the powers that be don’t have “The Answer”. Only I do and at Omega the only true answer will be when the referee announces my name Alex Scott STILL Junior Heavyweight CHAMPION. Know that.”
(A knock on the door is heard, Alex Scott steps up and heads towards the door and opens it. Seeing Tiffany from the Front Desk with a little bottle of bubbly and two champagne glasses.)
(Scene Ends)
