The Infinite Energy Arena is alive with excitement. The cheers of nearly thirteen-thousand fans echo through the rafters in counterpoint to the Monday Night Metal theme. Mike Clearwater and Jonah “Remi” St. Remington take their seats at the commentary table, as camera flashes ignite the arena.

Clearwater: Ladies and gentlemen -- welcome to the LAST Monday Night Metal of 2019; not just the last one of the year, but the entire decade!

Remi: You gotta ask yourself, with all we’ve seen so far -- the rise and fall of Masuda Jubei; the ascension of the incomparable Smith Jones; the perseverance and supremacy of Dean Wolf; the short, but bloody history of the Hardcore Title; the battles waged and won for gold; the absolute spectacles this company has put on for you, the fans, since August alone -- what more can the next year possibly hold?

Clearwater: Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, Remi! We still have Omega next week, and rumor has it, a special one-night holiday-themed feature yet to come, before this year is truly over. But tonight -- Tonight is about getting in one last word before Omega. One final chance for these brave warriors to cement their place on the roster, or to catapult themselves ever higher through the stratosphere of Alpha Pro Wrestling, to prove themselves destined for greatness!

Remi: It all starts with our opening match, featuring the juggernaut Wheels of Destruction as they make their first tag team appearance against the unlikely duo of Junior Heavyweight Champion Alex Scott and the enigma known only as Flop.

Clearwater: Then Jobber Dave faces down the Immortal American, the Coked-Up Madman, the guy for whom HorrorKore was named -- Zombie McMorris!

Remi: Newcomer Ashley Derringer takes on the man who’s been hounding Spartan, Voshon “the Ghost” Jackson; and Spartan himself will stand toe-to-toe with “Jazzy” John McCarty in a match that could arguably be the main event.

Clearwater: But that honor is reserved for the new North American Champ, Steven Osbourne, as he goes head-to-head with the crafty Zion Simmons. All that AND a contract signing for the World Title match at Omega!

Remi: Set your DVR’s my dudes, because you won’t want to miss a SECOND of the action here tonight!

General Manager's Announcement

We get a shot of Irina Ivanova backstage. The crowd boo vociferously.

Irina: Good evening. Tonight, we will be holding an official contract signing for the APW World Championship match at Omega between the World Champion Smith Jones and the Hardcore Champion...

She stops and sneers before spitting the name out.

Irina: ...Dean Wolf.

The crowd cheers.

Irina: In order to ensure that neither man, including and especially Comrade Wolf, does not disrupt the integrity of this contract signing, I am ordering Alpha Security to be posted inside and outside the ring. If any of the combatants, once again including and especially Comrade Wolf, tries to engage in violence, Alpha Security is hereby ordered to use excessive force to neutralize the disturbance.

The crowd boos again.

Irina: Thank you, and enjoy the show.

Wheels of Destruction vs Alex Scott/Flop

Air raid sirens and emergency alerts sound from throughout the arena, then fade into the opening riff of a hard-rock cover of Johnny Cash’s “I’ve Been Everywhere.” Amber searchlights sweep across the crowd, back and forth, before finally settling on the stage to reveal two hulking figures: Ultimate Destroyer and Road Dawg. Stepping to the edge of the stage, both men flex enormous biceps, letting out a roar of defiance as they leap down and stalk the length of the aisle to ringside. Road Dawg slides in under the ropes, while Ultimate Destroyer hops onto the ring apron and steps over the top rope.

"Fight Like the Devil" begins, and there is a brief murmuring of fans. As the song picks up, Alex Scott parts the curtain, a look of focus and minor indifference on his face. He shows very little emotion, walking to the ring in his hooded sweatshirt, tights and boots; the Junior Heavyweight title secured across his waist. He hits the ring, uses the ropes the stretch, and then sits on the top turnbuckle, mentally preparing himself to wrestle.

“Audience With the Devil” by Hilltop Hoods hits the speakers. Demonic voices seem to herald the appearance of Flop, who slips through the curtain and paces to center stage. A solitary spotlight falls upon him, following his every movement. As the music kicks in, Flop makes his way down the ramp. He stalks a wide, slow circle around the perimeter of the ring before finally ascending the steel steps. Ignoring his erstwhile tag partner, Flop walks solemnly to the middle of the ring and sits down, cross-legged, refusing to budge even when his music fades away.

DING DING DING!

Flop remains right where he is, eyes closed, a look of meditative serenity on his face. Alex Scott gives up trying to move him and returns to his corner. A hasty conference between Destroyer and Dawg ends with a shrug from Road Dawg as his partner exits the ring. Dawg approaches Flop and tries to urge him to his feet. When words don’t work, he brings a knee up against Flop’s face. Flop slumps to one side -- then immediately rights himself. Road Dawg tries again from the other side, with the same effect. Mildly annoyed, Road Dawg moves to stand in front of Flop and goes to plant a boot square in the middle of his face. Flop falls flat on his back to avoid it, then opens his eyes and leaps to his feet, a dopey grin on his face as he taunts his much larger opponent.

Road Dawg has had enough of these antics and grabs Flop by the head, dropping him on the mat with a massive DDT. Dawg pulls him up again, looking for a big suplex, but Flop fights his way free and nails a dropkick to Road Dawg’s back. Dawg whirls around and goes for a bear hug. Flop ducks, runs past him, hits the ropes and rebounds with a crossbody! Flop follows up with a running bulldog and Dawg is down! Cover by Flop!

One!

Two!!

Dawg kicks out! Back to a vertical base, he grabs Flop and whips him to the corner, then charges in -- but Flop moves at the last possible second and Dawg crashes into the turnbuckle! Flop with a lariat that takes Dawg down again and Flop goes for a roll-up! Dawg powers out and now it’s Road Dawg on the attack! Dawg snatches Flop up for a big bodyslam! Dawg pulls Flop to his feet again and drags him over to the Wheels of Destruction corner, where Dawg slaps Destroyer’s outstretched hand! Dawg and Destroyer take turns raining fists down on Flop until the official forces Dawg out of the ring. Destroyer lifts Flop and flattens him on the canvas with a fallaway slam. He covers!

One!

Two!!

THR-- NO!

Alex Scott breaks up the pin with a flying elbow drop! Flop works his way back to his feet and the two whip the massive Ultimate Destroyer to the ropes! Destroyer rebounds with a clothesline to the Junior Heavyweight Champ! Flop takes advantage of the distraction and nails Destroyer with a superkick, then shoves his own partner back toward their corner. Once there, he slaps Scott on the shoulder and exits the ring. In seconds, Destroyer is bearing down on the unfortunate Alex Scott. At Flop’s urging, Scott turns around -- just in time to take the full force of a headbutt from Ultimate Destroyer! Another cover!

One!

Two!!

THR-- KICKOUT!

Alex Scott somehow escapes. He grabs the ropes, using them to pull himself up as Destroyer charges in at him again. He ducks a hasty grab, then nails Destroyer with a spinning heel kick! Destroyer answers back with an elbow smash! Scott backs off, shaking his head to clear the cobwebs. Destroyer chases after him -- and Scott with a jumping stunner out of nowhere! Scott with the pin!

One!

Two!!

Destroyer powers up, shoving Scott halfway across the ring in the process. Scott hits the ropes and springboards off with a hurricanrana that drops the big man again and Alex Scott goes for another pin!

One!

But here comes Flop! Flop putting boots to Ultimate Destroyer, heedless of the fact that his partner is trying to secure a pinfall. Road Dawg joins in and it isn’t long before the referee loses control of the match. All four men are brawling! Flop gets one more boot down on Destroyer before Dawg sends him down with a forearm! Scott hits a standing dropkick on Road Dawg that sends the big man to the ropes! Scott follows up with a running clothesline that sends Dawg out of the ring. Destroyer is back up and whips Flop across the ring, sending him crashing into his own partner, and now Scott is out, too! Destroyer rushes in for another attack, but Flop ducks, then nails a low kick to the back of Destroyer’s knee! Flop follows up with an enzuigiri that leaves the big man dazed.

Destroyer staggers upright again -- right into a Zero Down falcon arrow from Flop! Flop finishes him off with Bullet Time and a cover!

One!

Road Dawg slips in under the ropes!

Two!!

Alex Scott grabs his ankle and hauls him back to the outside!

THREE!!!

DING DING DING!

Jessica Kaine: The winners of this match -- Alex Scott and Flop!!!

“Audience With the Devil” hits the speakers and Alex climbs back in the ring to celebrate with his partner, but Flop brushes right past him and leaves the ring, walking up the ramp without even a backward glance.

Jobber Dave vs Zombie McMorris

We return from commercial with Jobber Dave already in the ring.

"American Darkness" hits the PA system as ZMAC runs out onto the stage with high intensity, pulling the crowd in and hyping them up. He runs to the ring, sliding in and takes to the top rope as the fans tell it like it is.

DING DING DING!

ZMAC is on Dave in an instant, using his immortal strength to lift the lucha up for a big back body drop! Dave hits the canvas, bounces back to his feet, and comes charging in at McMorris with a running knee lift! ZMAC takes it on the jaw and laughs as he wraps one hand around Dave’s throat. Dave responds by slapping the hand away putting his hand around Zombie’s throat! Dave tries to lift ZMAC, but the Honey Badger doesn’t budge. Dave puts both hands around McMorris’ neck and tries again, but ZMAC breaks the hold and headbutts Dave instead!

Dave staggers back, hands covering his mask. Abruptly, he halts and takes a single menacing step forward. ZMAC smirks and gestures to him, inviting the lucha to bring it. Dave rushes forward, windmilling his arms like a maniac, landing a few punches here and there, but mostly making a fool of himself. McMorris catches Dave’s arm and twists it, then pulls Dave in and rams his shoulder right into the poor jobber’s face!

Dave shakes it off and keeps coming, like a comical Jason Voorhees. He gets in a lucky spinning heel kick that rocks McMorris. Dave follows up with a lariat that sends ZMAC to the mat! McMorris hops right back to his feet and gets a spinning backfist from Dave! Dave grabs Z and puts him in a wristlock, then kicks McMorris in the gut, doubling him over. Dave with a devastating piledriver on the Coked-Up Madman! He covers!

One!

But only a one-count as ZMAC kicks out! McMorris back to a vertical base and now Dave is in trouble! Superkick! Stomp! Stomp! Stomp! McMorris applies his boot to Dave’s face, but somehow the luchador still has plenty of fight left in him! He reaches up and latches both hands around Z’s ankle. McMorris tries to shake him off, but Dave holds firm, slowly pushing the boot away, driving McMorris ever more off-balance. With a final surge, Dave shoves hard and sends ZMAC stumbling away as Dave climbs back to his feet.

Dave goes for the turnbuckles, and McMorris is after him immediately. Dave reaches the top just as ZMAC wraps an arm around his waist. Z lifts, but Dave hooks a foot under the rope, blocking him. Z tries again, but Dave blocks again! Dave delivers elbow after elbow to McMorris’ face, loosening his grip until the Honey Badger is forced to drop down off the turnbuckles! Dave flies off with a diving knee drop that drives ZMAC to the canvas again!

Now Dave has the advantage. He hauls Zombie upright and sets him on his shoulders -- then drops him down across his knee for a huge backbreaker! The crowd is in shock! Dave with the cover!

One!

Two!!

THR-- NO!

ZMAC gets the shoulder up! Dave reaches down and pulls Z to a standing position, then hauls back and delivers a savage Mongolian chop right across McMorris’ chest! ZMAC shakes it off and delivers one of his own! Dave chops again; and again, McMorris gives him another one! And again! And again! Back and forth, chop after chop, until at last, Dave changes tactics and hits Z with a European uppercut! A knee doubles the Honey Badger over and Dave sets him up for another piledriver -- but ZMAC stands up and flips Dave over his back instead! McMorris with the upper hand now and he pushes his advantage relentlessly! Zombie picks up Dave and press slams him to the canvas! Then McMorris hauls him back up and looks for an inverted suplex…

Reversal! Dave fights out and ends up hitting the suplex himself! He stomps on the fallen ZMAC a couple of times before he goes to the ropes and starts climbing. At the top, he signals for his finisher -- the Danny Boy Special! Dave points to his elbow, then extends his finger to McMorris, struggling to get off the mat. Dave dives off with his patented elbow drop, directly in the middle of the Immortal American’s sternum; yet somehow manages to jam his ulnar nerve and rolls off, cradling his arm for a moment, before her realizes what’s at stake. Quickly Dave lays across his opponent and hooks the leg!

One!

Two!!

THREE!!!

DING DING DING!

Jessica Kaine: The winner of this match -- by pinfall -- JOBBER DAVE!!!

Dave rolls off as McMorris starts to stir and retreats out of his reach, just as it dawns on ZMAC what happened. He shoots a dark look at Dave, then makes a dismissive gesture and drops out of the ring, making his way to the back.

"Jazzy" John McCarty Segment

Clearwater: Welcome back to Monday Night Metal, folks, where I am just receiving word that 'Jazzy' John McCarty is currently in the GM's office!

The camera cuts to Ms Ivanova's office, where we see John on the other side of the GM's desk.

John: You wanted to see me?

Ivanova: Yes.

John: Why is that?

Ivanova: Well, John. What do you think?

John is hesitant to reply, but finally admit he knows what this is about.

John: Last week? Look, please, I worked hard...

Ivanova: Look, don't sweat. That match against Smith Jones, that was amazing. I want to see more. Omega's main event is now a triple threat between you, Dean Wolf and Smith Jones for the World Title.

Remi: Oh my god! I've been rooting for this guy for ages, and now he gets a shot at the World Title! I'm pumped!

Clearwater: Don't get too excited partner, there might be a catch.

Almost as if John heard what Clearwater said, he had one last question.

John: Is there a catch?

Ivanova: Nope. Only good news. Now leave before I change my mind.

Clearwater: No strings attached! McCarty is officially competing for the World Title.

John gleefully exits the GM's office.

As he begins to make his way down the hall, he is greeted by darkness. He scrambles a bit to get his bearings and the sound of a child laughing can be heard, echoing down the narrow passage.

Just as suddenly as they cut off, they flick back on and a young girl stands at the end of the hallway behind John. He turns in time to see her waving, a twisted smile on her hauntingly beautiful face.
The lights flick off again and one light appears in the corner where the girl once was. A monster of a man stands in front of the light, most of it's features obscured save for two things that stand out even in the darkness: a giant pair of bunny ears and big red eyes that seem to glow in the darkness.

The lights go out again and after a few moments, slowly return, leaving an empty hallway and a stunned and confused John McCarty.

Ashley Derringer vs Voshon Jackson

"Bat! Man!" screams Ashley Derringer's voice and the "Bat Symbol" flashes across the display. The first bass note of "My Name is Mud" hits and the lights black out in the audience. The bass notes continue and a thick white smoke fills the entrance. Exiting the entrance, out steps 'The Bat Man' Ash Derringer. He wears a black leather jacket over his regular attire. In his hand he holds an aluminum baseball bat. He stops just at the entrance and will hold his bat up in the icon Bat Man symbol pose. The lyrics kick in "My name is Mud..." and Ash begins to make way to the ring. In the ring he will repeat the Bat Man Symbol pose, raising the bat high in the air. He stores it usually in his corner.

Therapy Session ques and smoke fills the stage. The lights start to flicker and the song begins to get hype, Victor makes his way down the ramp, slowly walking mythological like hes a god that cant be touched. Once by the ring he makes his way up the stairs and climbs. Heading over to the far turnbuckle he climbs and lifts his arms Allah Randy Orton.

DING DING DING!

Voshon Jackson immediately calls for a test of strength with Derringer. Derringer reluctantly obliges, and Jackson toys with him a moment before driving him to his knees. Derringer responds with a series of quick jabs to the ribs and midsection of Jackson, loosening the bigger man’s grip as Ash struggles back to his feet. The Ghost drops a big punch down on Derringer, knocking him to the canvas!

Jackson reaches down as if to offer his opponent a hand up. Ash takes it -- and is promptly pulled upright and into a shoulder thrust! He stumbles back across the mat, shaking the cobwebs off. He charges in at Jackson, but Jackson answers with a big boot! The Ghost follows up with a forearm smash, driving Ash back against the turnbuckles. As Jackson takes a run at Derringer, Ash gets his foot up and smashes his boot into Jackson’s face!

Derringer rallies out of the corner, leveling punch after punch at the bigger man. He’s like a man possessed, forcing Voshon to fight defensively under the onslaught. Once Ash has him right where he wants him, he wraps the Ghost up in a waistlock and drops him with a snap suplex! Ash starts laying boots to Jackson, over and over, in quick succession. Then he stops and gestures at the big man to get up.

Jackson hauls himself back to his feet and charges at Ashley, who sidesteps and sends him careening into the ropes. Jackson grabs on to stop his momentum and turns a disdainful sneer on his opponent. Ash is on the attack again, but the Ghost stops him with a deadly dropkick and covers for an early pin.

One!

Two!!

Derringer kicks out! He’s up, and he’s not nearly done yet! The Smoking Gun closes with the Ghost and it’s all Jackson can do to keep up with Derringer’s fists of fury. Jab! Jab! Jab! A feinted cross, another jab -- followed by a right hook meant to take Jackson’s head off! It connects and the Ghost drops like a stone! Ash looks for the cover, but Voshon isn’t softened up enough. He climbs back to his feet, a little wobbly, but still ready to fight! Derringer right back on the attack, but Jackson catches his hands and sends back one of his own! A massive haymaker that sends the Bat Man staggering! Jackson follows up with a clothesline that sends Derringer tumbling over the ropes to the outside!

With a wicked smirk, Jackson ambles to Ashley’s corner and picks up the aluminum bat. The official tries to intervene, but Jackson shrugs him off and gives him a menacing glare that leaves no question as to his intent. Gripping the bat firmly, the Ghost slips between the ropes and drops to the ringside mats, stalking his prey as Ash uses the ring apron to pull himself up.

A mighty swing -- and a CLANG! The bat whooshes over Ashley’s head and crashes into the ringpost. Derringer responds with a massive forearm to Jackson’s face! He follows up with a knuckle to the axial nerve, and the bat clatters to the ground. Ash picks it up and drives the butt end up under Jackson’s chin, dazing him. As Jackson stumbles, Derringer guides him back into the ring, and drops the weapon before the ref sees it.

Both men back in the ring, now, and Jackson makes a clumsy attempt to get his hands on Derringer. Ash evades it and sets him up for an evenflow DDT -- HEADSHOT! Jackson hits the canvas and stays down this time. Derringer hooks his leg for good measure.

DING DING DING!

Jessica Kaine: The winner of this match -- Ashley Derringer!!!

“My Name is Mud” sounds through the PA system to a huge pop from the fans. Ash celebrates in the ring, as a sullen Voshon Jackson returns to the back.

Spartan vs “Jazzy” John McCarty

“Unstoppable” by For the Fallen Dreams begins to echo over the Arena’s PA system. The arena goes black and then strobes begin flashing in a seemingly random pattern over the crowd before focusing on the entrance way. Spartan appears in his in-ring attire, as the flashing stops, with a single beam focused on him. Spartan raises his arms out beside his body and roars, before the arena flashes into darkness and then the lights quickly return to normal. Spartan runs to the ring - he leaps onto the apron in a single jump and grabs the top rope and slings himself into the ring over the top rope. He rolls the landing and explodes to a turnbuckle opposite him. He climbs and raises both fists in the air to illicit a response from the crowd.

The camera pans around the crowd, showing their excitement. The camera then cuts to John McCarty, trumpet in hand, playing 'When The Saints Go Marching In'. The crowd sings along.

'O when the saints...
'Go marching in...
'Now, when the Saints go marching in...
'Yes, I want to be in that number...
'When the Saints go marching in'

He gives the trumpet to a backstage worker as 'Peaches en Regalia' plays through the arena speakers. He hypes of the crowd as he walks to the ramp.

He walks down the ramp to the beat of the song. He nods his head to acknowledge the crowd and eventually arrives at the ring.

The car horns start as John climbs the steps. He takes his time to enter the ring between the top and middle rope. He rebounds off the ropes. The flute starts to play as John climbs the turnbuckles, and hypes up the crowd again. Eventually, John gets down and leans on the turnbuckle, waiting for the match to start.

DING DING DING!

John and Spartan pace the ring, eyeing each other in wary appraisal. Spartan feints an attack, looking to gauge McCarty’s reaction. McCarty smirks at the tactic and beckons him on. They lock up; Spartan gains the upper hand quickly and shoves McCarty back. The Jazzman is just getting warmed up. He looks for another tie-up, but Spartan isn’t in the mood for games. He locks his arms around McCarty’s waist. McCarty grabs a finger and pulls himself free, then switches behind Spartan and applies a waistlock of his own.

Spartan reverses, tries for a side facelock; but McCarty slips out and wraps his arms around Spartan’s waist again. Without hesitation, he lifts, and slams Spartan down behind him. Before Spartan can react, John lifts him again and drops him with a second suplex! And a third! John with a pin attempt, but Spartan shoves him off before the ref can start the count. McCarty hops back up and pulls Spartan with him. He slaps on a side facelock and drops Spartan down with a DDT! Jazzy hauls Spartan to his feet again and sets Spartan up for an inverted suplex…

Spartan fights his way out and escapes. Spartan knees John in the midsection and sets him up with a double underhook and nails a DDT in the middle of the canvas! Spartan helps McCarty back up. McCarty takes a swing -- blocked! Spartan retaliates. The two men go toe-to-toe, trading punches back and forth, the fans cheering each strike as it lands! Jazzy finally gets in a solid shot that backs Spartan off and follows up, looking for a chickenwing. Spartan isn’t having it! He escapes and sends John to the ropes!

Jazzy grabs the ropes to stop his momentum and Spartan charges after him, sending McCarty tumbling out with a monster clothesline! The Jazzman spills to the outside and hits the ringside mats! Unwilling to give up the advantage, Spartan follows him out, heedless of the official’s protest. Spartan grabs John as he gets back to his feet and whips him toward the crowd barrier -- but McCarty plants his feet and sends Spartan crashing headfirst into the barricade instead! McCarty looks to follow up, advancing on his opponent. He bends down, hauls Spartan up -- and eats a forearm for his trouble! Spartan lifts McCarty in a german suplex; McCarty rains down an unholy firestorm of elbows, forcing Spartan to let go! In control once more, John backs up to come running in with a knee lift that makes Spartan see stars.

McCarty finally notices the ref threatening to count them both out, and rolls a dazed Spartan into the ring. Both men back in the ring, both on their feet, but Spartan looks a little worse for the wear. All at once, Spartan seems to revive in an instant and rushes at McCarty! McCarty catches him instead with a swinging spike DDT!

Clearwater: Oh my God, out of nowhere, he hits the Ad-lib!! And...wait... what the hell is going on?

Just as John plants Spartans head into the mat and it seems like it's over, the lights cut off. A familiar laughter fills the darkness, a child's laughter. The lights cut back in to unveil a huge monster of a man, standing only feet away from a stunned McCarty. The man is covered in black clothing, a black hoodie, black brawlers gloves except for a giant, full head bunny mask, pink with red eyes.

The audience erupts as the monster takes action, a long arm reaching out to catch a winded John by the throat and lift him bodily into the air, slamming him down hard with a sickening slam in a modified ones handed choke slam.

He continues his assault, pulling the already defeated man back to his feet. He sends him against the rope and catches him on the opposite side of the ring around the arm and neck, easily swinging the man off his feet, launching him to ringside and through the Spanish announcers table.

Remi: Look at the power in that monster!!!! That's nearly 15 feet!

Clearwater: I don't think John is moving...

As John is being tended to by the ring officials, Spartan has gotten back to his feet and the monster known as Rabid turns to see him.

Remi: I don't think that monster took too kindly to being mocked by Spartan...

The two are locked in a faceoff, and Spartan considers his options for a moment before Rabid begins to descend upon him, Spartan preparing his defense. Just as suddenly as before, the lights go out and a moment later return, to a slightly confused Spartan and an otherwise empty ring.

The sound of Nevermores laughter echoes around the arena.

Outside of the ring, the officials are calling for medical attention as John has still not started moving.

MAIN EVENT

Steven Osbourne vs Zion Simmons

“Fever for the Flavor” by Hot Action Cop begins to play and Steven Osbourne struts through the curtain carrying his trusty address book, North American Title slung over one shoulder. He hits on as many women as he can trying to get their numbers as he makes his way to the ring.

"White Dude" by Lil Dicky starts to play and Zion is accompanied to the ring by a random fan who's screaming about being on TV more than playing the role of valet for Zion. Zion shrugs it off adjusting his black newsboy hat and throwing down "sick" dance moves down the ramp. As he slides into the ring he stands up and throws up the international making money sign with his hands, he throws up his left index finger as he answers a call on his Samsung Watch. He blows off the fans as he mouths this is important, backing away into his corner. The lucky fan stands outside in his corner taking selfies barely having Zion in each shot.

DING DING DING!

Osbourne takes a moment to confer with his managers while an impatient Zion Simmons paces the ring. Just beneath the ref’s line of sight, Amber passes something to Steven, who promptly slips it in his tights. The official shoots him a suspicious look, but Osbourne shrugs it off with supreme nonchalance. Simmons rolls his eyes, unimpressed with the charade. He knows something’s up, but he’s not about to let it stop him from taking the fight to Steven. Zion comes at him with everything he’s got, leveling a clubbing forearm right at Osbourne’s chin.

Steven retaliates with an elbow smash that sends Zion staggering back. Osbourne grabs Simmons and whips him to the ropes. Zion rebounds and ducks, expecting a clothesline -- Steven lifts a boot and catches him in the breadbasket instead! Osbourne immediately locks in a full Nelson… or tries to, but Simmons slips out of it and nails Osbourne with a backfist. He follows up with a running knee lift! Zion is on a roll now, and hits the ropes for a springboard blockbuster that drops the North American champ to the mat! Zion with an early cover!

One!

Two!!

Osbourne kicks out! Both men get back to a vertical base and Zion still has the advantage. Zion pulls Steven back down with a bulldog, but Osbourne just manages to avoid it and pulls Simmons into a waistlock, looking for a suplex. Zion reverses and tries for one of his own but a quick-thinking Osbourne rakes Simmons’ eyes and escapes! Osbourne looks to follow up with a crescent kick, but Simmons senses it coming and turns it into a dragon screw leg whip! Simmons with another pin attempt, but only a one-count as Osbourne gets a shoulder up right away!

Steven pops up and meets Simmons with a European uppercut that spins him halfway around, right into an armdrag takedown! Osbourne immediately tries for the Tarantula. Simmons escapes before he can lock it in. Undeterred, the North American Champ gets to his feet again and goes after Simmons, planting him again with a fallaway slam! Osbourne gets a quick roll-up!

One!

Two!!

Simmons powers out! Osbourne grabs hold of Zion’s hair -- the ref is there right away to warn him off! Zion takes advantage of the momentary distraction to nail a back elbow to Osbourne’s face! He grabs the groggy Osbourne and whips him to the ropes, follows up with a knee to the gut on the rebound, then another one. Zion nails an Olympic slam neckbreaker that leaves Osbourne flattened on the canvas.

As Simmons looks for the pin, he fails to notice something clenched in Osbourne’s hand -- until the brass knuckles come sailing straight at him! Simmons ducks, a hair’s breadth from being knocked unconscious, and hauls Osbourne upright with him. He delivers a powerful forearm to the jaw, then a chop to the chest that forces Steven to drop the weapon. As Osbourne looks to retaliate, Simmons catches him with a spinning back kick, then follows up with a tornado belly-to-belly jawbreaker -- The BUY OUT!

Simmons drops for the cover.

DING DING DING!

Jessica Kaine: The winner of this match -- the Dot Com Mogul, Zion Simmons!!!

“White Dude” by Lil Dicky hits the speakers. Simmons climbs up on the turnbuckle and strikes a self-assured pose to a mixed reaction from the fans as Monday Night Metal heads to commercial.

World Title Contract Signing

As we come back from break, APW Interviewer Troy Butler is standing in the middle of the ring. Also inside the squared circle is a table draped in black two black leather office chairs resting face to face with one another. In the middle of the table is a clipboard upon which is fastened the contract. Butler picks up the clipboard and squares up to the main camera.

Troy Butler: I am holding in my hand the official contract to be signed by both the challenger and the champion at this time. Due to the explosive nature of the relationship between Hardcore Champion Dean Wolf and World Champion Smith Jones…

He looks over at the entranceway where a line of security guards begin to file out from the back. There are eight in all.

Butler: APW management has mandated that there be security here inside the ring for this contract signing. Gentlemen, if you’ll please secure the area.

Four guards climb into the ring while the other four remain at the bottom of the ramp awaiting our guests of honour.

Butler: Introducing first…

All of the arena lights blast to full white. The opening guitar riff from Linkin Park’s ‘Waiting For The End’ rocks the speakers as the crowd comes immediately unglued. That haunting double piano note joins in before the beat kicks in. The lights of the arena start fading out to darkness as every spotlight in the joint floods the stage with bright white light. Smith Jones appears on the stage dressed in his trademark shiny white robe with sparkly silver trim. He spreads his arms out wide and turns to show off the back where it reads ‘prey’ in elegant silver embroidery. Other details include paw prints, a full moon, and claw marks with drips of red blood. He turns all the way around to face front again. With a huge smile, he removes The World Title belt and raises it to the sky and closes his eyes, savouring every moment of the crowd’s adoration.

Crowd: I’M RIGHT HERE!! I’M RIGHT HERE!! I’M RIGHT HERE!! I’M RIGHT HERE!! I’M RIGHT HERE!! I’M RIGHT HERE!! I’M RIGHT HERE!! I’M RIGHT HERE!!

He makes his way down the ramp and reaches the bottom when suddenly… WHAM!!!

Remi: What the hell?!!

Clearwater: Dean Wolf was disguised as one of those security guards and just speared the hell out of Smith Jones!

Wolf tears the robe off Smitty, twisting it up and wrapping it around Smith’s neck. Smith tries to keep his eyes on his belt, which he dropped when he was taken down. He is gasping for air and already beginning to lose consciousness. Security guards try to pull Wolf apart from Jones. They manage to get him to break his hold on the robe, but it only leads to him going after the security guards.

Remi: Didn’t these dudes learn from the last time they tried to restrain him?!

The Hardcore Champ takes a few out with right hands. Some he throws into the guardrails. One of them even gets The Kill.

Clearwater: Irina’s hope for a peaceful contract signing just went out the window!

He turns his attention back to Smitty, who he whips into the edge of the ring apron. He grabs his head, swings him around, and throws him into the ring under the bottom rope. Wolf chases after him and tears off the security shirt. He stalks behind the World Champ and waits for him to get to his feet and turn around.

Clearwater: Smitty may not even get a chance to sign the contract tonight!

Remi: Here comes The Kill, dude!

Smitty turns. Wolf spins, but Smitty ducks. Wolf’s momentum causes him to spin 180°, giving Smitty the opportunity to hit his best shot.

Clearwater: POINT OF CONTROVERSY!

And just like that, Wolf is knocked out cold on the canvas. Smitty laughs through his pain as he looks at his unconscious attacker. He pulls himself up by the ropes and makes his way over to the table, picks up the contract, and signs it.

Clearwater: Well, we’ve got Smitty’s signature. Maybe Wolf’s is the one that’s going to have to wait.

Smitty walks over to Troy Butler, who’s been watching this scene unfold the entire time, and rips the microphone out of his hand.

Smith Jones: Leave.

Butler immediately does what he’s told and takes a seat at ringside.

Smith looks over at Wolf and raises the mic to his lips.

Smith Jones: I’m here to make a kill of my own. I am in the mood to be inappropriately violent again. Shield your eyes.

The crowd begins to murmur to one another. Smitty looks over at Wolf, who’s regained consciousness and is crawling slowly towards the ropes. Smitty laughs and walks towards Wolf.

Clearwater: Oh no. We saw what happened two weeks ago when Wolf was prone and vulnerable. What’s Smitty going to do now?

Remi: It can’t be a good thing, dude.

A collective gasp fills the arena as Smitty grabs Wolf by the hair and pulls his head back. He rips the bandage off his head that was covering the wound from the screwdriver attack two weeks before. Then, he raises the microphone in the air like the Sword of Damocles, and strikes the wound with it over and over again. The sound of the impact reverberates throughout the building. A little feedback squeals over the PA system.

Clearwater: I would sit here and yell “Smitty, stop” but he’s not going to stop until he puts Wolf out of his misery!

Smitty holds the microphone high above his head and shows off his handiwork to the nearby fans in the front row. He’s holding Wolf’s head like he just cut it off. Wolf’s face is a gruesome crimson mask. Mercifully, Smitty releases his hold and Wolf just falls like a stack of bricks to the mat.

Clearwater: I think Smitty has lost all sense of humanity.

Remi: I think he’s lost his sanity, bro.

Smitty goes to talk into the microphone again put stops to observe the top of it.

Smith Jones: Wow. Look at all this blood!

He holds the mic up in the air as if the fans will be able to see all the red on the mic.

Smitty: Don’t come to Omega, Dean Wolf. This isn’t going to be a pretty one. I often think about the fact that everyone, every single one of you out there, has a death story coming. There will one hundred percent come a day when you will cease to breathe and life will go one without you. Whether it comes by way of a car accident or a heart attack or an unstoppable disease… you will all die. I… even I will die someday. Jubei knows what I’m talking about. Wolf…

He starts to laugh angrily somehow. Be bites down on his bottom lip hard, staring into the main camera. He looks down as he speaks on.

Smitty: Don’t come, Dean Wolf. Don’t make me bring this chaotic mess of violent ideas to The World. This is not the me you want me to be. I’m drawing blood on television again. I swore I would never lose control like this a-- Y’know what? Wolf? WOLF!!!

Jones walks over to the table and puts the mic down next to the contract. He stares down at the contract with wild eyes, nearly foaming at the mouth.

Smitty: I’m just gonna… cross out “one fall singles match” and I’m gonna just write in… da, da, da… initial thusly… Hm Hm Hm… and sign… ba ba ba. Fuck you, Wolf. Die.

He drops the contract next to Wolf’s body. He leaves the ring and picks up The World Championship belt. He heads up the ramp to a round of boos. The boos get even louder when Irina meets him at the top and gives him a round of applause. Smitty holds his arms out and accepts the General Manager’s commendation. They shake hands, but as they do, they look over at the ring and see Wolf trying to get himself to his feet again! Eddie Silk and other officials appear and try to head down to the ring to help Wolf, but Irina orders all of them to the back.

Irina Ivanova: No! He can get up himself! Get back behind the curtain if you still want to have your jobs tomorrow!

They all reluctantly comply. Irina looks back over at Smitty, who is holding out his belt.

Smith Jones: Do you mind?

Irina Ivanova: Surely, Comrade Jones.

She takes the title from him. He marches back down to the ring.

Crowd: BOOOOOOOOO

Clearwater: Wolf, just stay down! Just stay down!

Smitty rolls back in and is fired up. He stalks Wolf and yells at him.

Smith Jones: You want more?! You want more?! Come on! Get to your feet! Get to your feet! I’ll do this all night if that’s what you want, you son of a bitch!

Wolf, spaghetti legged and seemingly out of it, finally gets to his feet and looks to be unaware of the danger behind him. Smitty runs.

Clearwater: OH GOD!

He jumps, grabs the back of Wolf’s head, and gets his knee up.

Clearwater: POINT OF CONTROVER--- NO!

Wolf grabs the top rope at the last second and Smitty falls to the mat. He quickly gets up, but is met by his foe.

Clearwater: THE KILL!

The crowd pops. Irina’s eyes look like they’re going to pop out of her head. Smitty is laid out on his back. Wolf is down on his face. He reaches for the contract that Smitty dropped next to him a few minutes before and pulls it towards him. He lifts his head up slightly and tries to look at it through the blood in his eyes.

Wolf: Hell In A Cell? Hell In A Cell.

Then, he takes his right index finger, wipes some blood on it, and applies it to the contract.

Clearwater: He signed the contract in his own blood!

The crowd cheers. A “This is awesome” chant breaks out. Wolf drops the contract and puts his head back down, falling back into unconsciousness.

Remi: I think that’s just a symbol of things to come at Omega, dude!

Clearwater: The Main Event at Omega is now going to be a HELL IN A CELL MATCH for the Alpha Pro Wrestling World Title, Remi! To say that this match is going to be unpredictable would be an understatement! These two men want to kill each other!

We get a shot of Irina looking with concern at the scene in the ring while she holds the belt.

Clearwater: It’s all about that gold! Will Wolf finally achieve his dream and become the World Champion?! Will Smitty retain the title and undo the losses he has suffered from the hands of the Hardcore Champ?! Who’s going to win?! Who’s going to relent?! Who’s walking away with the APW World Championship at Omega?!

We get one more shot, an overhead view of the ring. The area around Smitty and Wolf’s lifeless bodies is saturated with blood. The contract lies next to Wolf, soaked in blood as well. The “This is awesome” chant continues but gets faint as the show fades to black, leaving the viewer wondering just what in the hell is going to happen in one week’s time.
