Monday Night Metal opens with a panning shot of the electrified Baltimore crowd, already on their feet and cheering for the action to come.

Clearwater: Welcome back APW faithful! Last week saw the in-ring debut of Flop, and a vicious attack on former North American Champion, Spartan!

Remi: Ghost has really got it out for that guy, and we still aren’t sure why! But the bigger question is, what’s Spartan going to do about it?

Clearwater: That is the question, Remi. Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows --

Remi: This is wrestling, Mikey-bro. You take arms against a sea of troubles, or you drown!

Clearwater: Either way, Voshon Jackson is making quite the impression here in Alpha Pro Wrestling!

Remi: That he is, my dude, but the biggest news of the night last week was that savage attack by Smith Jones on Dean Wolf!

Clearwater: It was only a matter of time, Remi -- and now it’s “Jazzy” John McCarty facing down that same competitive intensity! His star has been on the rise here lately, but Smith Jones might be the man to put a stop to that momentum!

Remi: If anybody can, it would be him! Now, tonight we’ll see Dean Wolf take on Zion Simmons in one-on-one competition, and the Wolfman has promised that the Silicon Valley prodigy is going to pay the price for Smitty’s misdeeds!

Clearwater: Simmons is something of an enigma here in APW, a competitor with his own agenda that doesn’t always follow the trail of gold -- although he’s got plenty of it to spend!

Remi: Speaking of gold, Tsukiko is putting her newly-reclaimed Junior Heavyweight Title on the line against Alex Scott; who has certainly earned his shot, but is he going to follow through, or will he choke?

Clearwater: We’ll find out, Remi! But first, we have an exciting new prospect debuting tonight against the ever-imposing Bobby Beauregard; and Flop takes on Ultimate Destroyer -- all here tonight on Monday Night Metal!

Ashley Derringer vs Bobby "Definitely Not a Gorilla" Beauregard

The first bass note of "My Name is Mud" hits and the lights black out in the audience. The bass notes continue and a thick white smoke fills the entrance. Exiting the entrance, out steps Ashley Derringer. He wears street clothes, jeans, t-shirt, and a black leather jacket and a defiant stare. In his left hand, he is holding an aluminum baseball bat. He stops just at the entrance and runs his beard absently as he scans the audience, eyes finally setting to the rig as the lyrics kick in "My name is Mud..." and Ash begins to make way to the ring. He goes around the ring to the stairs and makes his way up them, ducking under the ropes and making a beeline towards Bobby. The ref gets between the two and seems to indicate that the bat will not be an acceptable addition. There is some back and forth between them as Ash seems to be indicating something about Bobby, but the ref flatly refuses. Reluctantly, Ash moves to his corner where he stores the baseball bat.

Ash turns back to face Bobby and the ref signals for the bell to ring. Bobby moves first from his corner, moving at super human speeds straight towards Ash, who is barely able to move aside, forcing Bobby to crash into the turn buckle, unharmed. Bobby turns back to Ash who is still scrambling and reaching one long arm to catch Ash by his hair, using Ash own momentum combined with the sudden stop of his head to pull him from his feet.

Bobby takes the advantage, moving to mount Ash who plants a foot into his chest and pushes him back just enough to scramble to ringside. The ref begins the count and Bobby makes his way outside as Ash retreats around the ring. A large hammer fist meets the fleeing Ash, flooring him. He pulls Ash up and slides him back in the room, pulling himself up behind him.

Ash quickly rises to his feet, moving the ref between them and once again begins pointing to Bobby to the dismay of the ref.

Meanwhile, Bobby has mounted the top rope, and Ash turns just in time to see Bobby soar in his direction, and Ash has just enough time to reposition himself with the ref, who takes the full force of the shot.

Seeing this opportunity, Ash moves rapidly to his corner and retrieves his bat. Bobby's manager, Pete pulls himself on the apron to yell at Ash for the foreign weapon, but just as the Bobby moves to attack, Ash brings the bat down right between his eyes, staggering him for a moment, but only a moment.

Bobby stops and roars, and Ash considers all the choices he has. This opportunity is rapidly lost to flee and his choices narrows down to one, two, three more shots before turning to the apron and connecting one with Pete's stomach, forcing him from the apron. He tosses the bat after him, turns to the stunned Bobby and plants one boot to the midsection follows by a hard impacting DDT.

Clearwater: headshot! Headshot!!

He pulls a dazed ref to his feet and indicates it's time to make the pin and drops down atop of the unconscious Beauregard for the three count.

One!

THREE!!!

DING DING DING!

Jessica Kaine: The winner of this match... ASHLEY DERRINGER!!!

"My Name is Mud" hits the speakers again to a big pop from the crowd, as a semi-conscious Bobby is led away from ringside by his manager.

Flop vs Ultimate Destroyer

Air raid sirens blast through the arena, then fade away into a hard rock cover of the Johnny Cash classic “I’ve Been Everywhere.” Ultimate Destroyer and Road Dawg step from behind the curtain, stepping to the end of the stage to flex for the fans before making their way down the aisle to the ring.

“Audience With the Devil” by Hilltop Hoods plays over the speakers. For several moments, the stage remains dark as the sound of voices conversing fills the arena. A spotlight hits the stage. Flop walks out and throws his arms up, fingers in a V-shape, like Nixon. He parades around the stage for a moment, then begins to saunter down the aisle, stopping for the occasional fist bump or selfie with fans. Finally, he climbs the ring steps, walks diagonally across the canvas, and seats himself dead center of the ring.

DING DING DING!

At the sound of the bell, Road Dawg slips to the outside, while Ultimate Destroyer stalks the still-seated Flop. He lifts the much smaller man, and simply flings him across the ring. Flop hits the ropes and rebounds with a flying cross body that doesn’t seem to have much effect on the massive Destroyer. Destroyer grabs Flop by the shoulders and hefts him up for a suplex, but Flop fires off a series of elbows at the big man’s head and escapes!

Flop hits the ropes again, and springboards off with a bulldog, but Destroyer catches Flop instead and slams him down to the mat! Flop bounces right back up and takes to the ropes again. Destroyer lumbers after him -- and eats a flying dropkick that puts him on the canvas! Flop goes for a half Boston crab, but barely has the strength to hold on as Destroyer powers upright once more.

Now that he has the upper hand, however, Flop maintains it with quickness and agility. A running knee staggers Destroyer. Flop hits the ropes and flies off with a forearm right to Destroyer’s face. Flop goes airborne again, and Destroyer swats him down! But Flop bounces right back to his feet! His resilience is nearly inhuman! Destroyer’s massive paws swing hard; Flop dodges and comes back with a Three Kick special. Destroyer shakes his head, trying to clear the cobwebs as Flop hurls himself to the ropes, rebounds, and comes back with a splash that brings the big man low!

Sensing his moment, Flop climbs the turnbuckle and dives off with his version of the Tumbleweed -- BULLET TIME!

One!

Two!!

THREE!!!

DING DING DING!

Jessica Kaine: The winner of this match -- FLOP!!!

The fans pop as “Audience With the Devil” plays across the speakers. Flop celebrates his victory as Ultimate Destroyer leaves ringside, Road Dawg following behind.

Segment

Darkness Falls.

There is a hushed whisper around the arena. A lone violin is playing. The cameras are scanning frantically

Remi: What the hell's this, now, Mikey-bro?

Clearwater: I don't know. This doesn't feel right.

The violin sound picks up and the music piece begins to become chaotic, the manic music filling the stadium. On one corner, a emergency light comes on. Then another. Without warning, a single down light appears in the center of a ring, where a massive figure stands. The light alludes to features of this person, and they appear to have the head of a giant, pink rabbit. A child's voice comes over the PA system.

"A darkness has come to Alpha Pro Wrestling. The darkness is spreading."

Her laughter penetrates the air as the classical piece continues to grow in volume and then there is a sudden stop in music as the lights again come crashing down. After a few moments, the lights begin to be restored. In the place that stood the giant bunny figure, there is a Wicker figure of a massive bunny. It catches fire in the center of the ring as ring crew rushes out to put out the flames.

Zombie McMorris vs “The Ghost” Voshon Jackson

"American Darkness" hits the PA system as ZMAC runs out onto the stage with high intensity, pulling the crowd in and hyping them up. He runs to the ring, sliding in and takes to the top rope as the fans tell it like it is.

Therapy Session queues and smoke fills the stage. The lights start to flicker and the song begins to get hype, but nothing happens. Voshon Jackson is nowhere to be seen.

Clearwater: Ladies and gentlemen, we’re not sure what’s going on here…

Remi: Maybe he’s scared! He already got his ass handed to him once when ZMAC made him shark bait at HorrorKore in Chernobyl!

Clearwater: Wait -- I’m getting word that something is happening in the back!

The music cuts out as the AlphaTron lights up. The sounds of a scuffle can be heard echoing down the long, empty hallways. The bang of a body slamming up against metal lockers; the clang of a steel trash can as it rolls into view, dented almost beyond recognition. Slowly, the camera pans around to find two men locked in mortal combat: Spartan and Voshon Jackson! Spartan has Jackson on the concrete floor, slamming his fist repeatedly into Jackson’s face. At last, he rises, pulling the Ghost up with him. Spartan cocks back a fist to deliver another blow, but Jackson slips down to the floor again.

Remi: Look at his face! It’s busted open and there’s blood everywhere! This is inhuman!

Spartan stands over Jackson, exhorting him to get to his feet, and to his credit, the Ghost tries -- but he can’t maintain his balance and he slumps against the wall. Spartan grabs him by the chin and tries to make eye contact.

Spartan: Is this what you wanted, Jackson? Huh? Is this the kind of fight you want? TWICE you came upon me, unprovoked and without reason. You started this -- but believe me when I tell you, I’m going to FINISH IT!

Disgusted with the lack of response, Spartan releases Jackson and turns his back, stalking away as medics rush in to help. The screen goes dark again.

Clearwater: Well, it looks like -- yes, word from management is that Voshon Jackson is unable to compete tonight! This match is canceled and we need to go to commercial. We’ll be right back.

Flop Segment

Flop walks to the ring.
There is no music.
He is cradling something in his arms.
Flop is dressing in a hospital gown.

Flop very carefully places his swathed bundle under the bottom rope.
He rolls under the rope and gently picks up the bundle.

Flop: Steven Osbourne. I gave birth to your child last week and you were not there to witness the joy of it all.

Flop unwraps the bundle and it is a WowWee MIP Toy Robot

Flop: This is your child Steven!

And you're never going to see him again.

Flop throws the toy robot on the mat and starts jumping up and down on it until it breaks and keeps jumping on it until it's all broken up.

Flop: You don't love me Steven. I don't love you and no one will love our child. I am not your Boudle bot.

Flop jumps over the top rope and runs away into the crowd.

Spartan vs Jobber Dave vs Steven Osbourne

We come back from commercial with all three competitors already in the ring.

DING DING DING!

Osbourne looks to take the fight to Jobber Dave, viewing him as the easier target, but Dave slips out of his reach and Spartan is suddenly there instead! Spartan launches a powerful elbow at Osbourne, who ducks and fires back a quick jab to the ribs. Spartan shrugs it off and pulls him in for a suplex, but the Super-Sexy Boogeyman Slayer headbutts the bigger man and dances away. Dave chooses his moment and goes for a hurricanrana on Spartan! With Spartan down, Dave and Osbourne face off. Dave is quick, but Steven is quicker and drops the former bum fight champ with a side Russian legsweep.

Osbourne considers going for the pin, but Spartan is back up and the two men exchange a glance. With a nod, Spartan and Osbourne lift Dave to his feet and Irish whip him into the ropes. Dave rebounds and ducks a double clothesline, hits the ropes on the opposite side, and comes back with a running dropkick to Osbourne, then hops right back to his feet and delivers another to Spartan! The fans go insane as Dave puts his fists on his hips in a classic superhero pose, taking in the applause.

Spartan is back on his feet first and taps Dave on the shoulder. Dave whirls around -- right into a massive forearm! As Osbourne stands, too, Spartan whips a groggy Dave in Steven’s direction. Osbourne catches Dave and spikes him down to the canvas with a quick suplex!

Osbourne and Spartan circle, sizing each other up. Spartan goes right on the attack, plowing into Osbourne and lifting him up for a wheelbarrow gourdbuster -- but just then, Dave comes flying to the rescue! Jobber Dave spears Spartan, and Osbourne drops awkwardly to the mat. Dave takes to the ropes, and dives off with a hasty splash, but Spartan gets his knees up as Osbourne rolls out of harm’s way. Together, Spartan and Osbourne toss Dave through the ropes, then turn their attention back to each other.

On the offense again, Spartan hurls himself at the ropes and drops Osbourne with a springboard bulldog. He goes for the pin.

One!

Two!!

But Osbourne kicks out at two-and-a-half and leaps back to a vertical base. A big back elbow followed by a European uppercut sends Spartan staggering. Osbourne looks to capitalize -- but Dave is on the turnbuckle and flies off with a sloppy shooting star press that takes Spartan to the mat! Annoyed, Osbourne grabs Dave and lifts him onto his shoulders in a fireman’s carry and delivers a devastating brainbuster. Spartan looks to interfere, but gets a low blow for his efforts. Osbourne is fully in control now as he hits Spartan with the Sexecution! Osbourne with a rollup!

One!

Two!!

Broken up by Jobber Dave! Dave realizes his mistake a split-second too late as Osbourne wraps him up in a Tarantula and starts tickling his ribs -- a move he calls the French tickler. Dave laughs uncontrollably, squirming to get out of Osbourne’s grip as he begs him to stop tickling him. Osbourne finally relents -- only to pry at the mask covering Dave’s face! Panicked, Dave fights to keep the mask in place while still trying to break the hold. With one hand on his mask, he reaches out, fingers brushing against the ropes, but unable to get a grip. He shakes his head vigorously, and nearly manages to dislodge Osbourne’s hold -- but comes very close to losing his mask in the process!

Osbourne tightens his grip and renews his efforts to pull off the mask. Dave decides he’s had enough and immediately starts pounding on the canvas with his free hand, desperate to maintain his anonymity. The ref signals for the bell!

DING DING DING!

Jessica Kaine: The winner of this match -- by submission! -- STEVEN OSBOURNE!!!!

A frustrated Spartan shakes his head as he drops down to the ringside mats -- and is nearly run over by a fleeing Jobber Dave, both hands gripping tightly to his mask. “Fever for the Flavor” filters through the speakers as Amber Del Vallee and Veronica Anderson join Steven in the ring to celebrate with him.

Junior Heavyweight Champsionship

Alex Scott vs Tsukiko ©

The lights in the arena dim down as all attention became focused on the entrance; there the titantron lit up with an image of a moon brilliantly shining bright as the slow melodic beginning of Alddious' "We Are" began to play throughout the building. That would carry on till the song picked up at the 27-second mark. When it did the moon on the titantron shattered into hundreds of pieces before shifting to a flurry of clips of a woman hitting various high-risk moves and bone shattering filled the screen one after another. That would carry on until the heavenly vocals began to echo throughout the arena, and when they did the camera (and the attention of the crowd) shifted to a woman wearing a fox mask standing center stage. All the while white and silver tinted light flashed seamlessly and endlessly.

I suffered one day.
I cried one night
Crouching alone looking
like a pupa glowing

Hoping one day to
find something true
I keep on flying high
I won't let you regret

As the vocals continued, the masked woman would hop in place and shake out her hands. That is, until the first of three "We Are"s of the song hit. When they did, the woman stopped hopping and quickly grabbed onto the mask she wore in dramatic fashion. When the second "We Are" hi, the woman titled her mask covered face down. Finally, after the third "We Are", the woman abruptly tilted her head back up and slid the mask off of her face to reveal herself as The Shimmering Kitsune {Kirameku Kitsune} Tsukiko! With her identity now revealed, the crowd loudly began to cheer their support for the young Japanese woman! However, despite the ruckus, a nearby camera managed to pick Tsukiko's voice as she shouted out in excitement over the overwhelming support.

Tsukiko:
"Takakautame ni jikan!"
{Time to Fight!}

Jessica Kaine:
"From Kyoto, Japan. The Shimmering Kitsune, Tsuuuuuuuuukiiiiiiiiiikoooooooo!"

With the ring announcer making her official introduction, Tsukiko placed the fox mask back on her head (only it was angled off to the side) and began the walk down to the ring. Along the way, she went about interacting with various members of the crowd. The gentle slapping of hands in the universal high-five. he occasional fist bump. A hug or two. All of these happened along the way as she zig-zagged from one side of the ramp to the other until she reached the ringside area. It was there that she began walking to the steps nearest to her, but came to a stop before she ascended. After taking a moment to look out at the sold-out crowd, Tsukiko slid the fox mask off of her head and turned to those that were in the front row that was closest to her position. It was then that she stepped over to the barricade and handed off her mask to a young fan before darting up the steps and between the ropes into the ring.

"Fight Like the Devil" begins, and there is a brief murmuring of fans. As the song picks up, Alex Scott parts the curtain, a look of focus and minor indifference on his face. He shows very little emotion, walking to the ring in his hooded sweatshirt, tights and boots. He hits the ring, uses the ropes the stretch, and then sits on the top turnbuckle, mentally preparing himself to wrestle.

DING DING DING!

Scott approaches Tsukiko and extends a hand. She eyes it with deep suspicion, but after a moment, grips it tightly and bows as they shake hands. The two break contact and back off, each taking the other’s measure. All at once, Tsukiko explodes into action with a spinning heel kick. Alex has it scouted, however, and dodges, coming back with a roundhouse kick of his own. Tsukiko staggers back, an enigmatic smile on her lips as she steadies herself in a fighting stance and gestures to her opponent in invitation.

Alex doesn’t hesitate. He tries another kick, and is answered with a dragon screw legwhip. Tsukiko rolls him up, but Scott pushes her off and bounces back to his feet. Tsukiko’s palm strike is blocked and countered by a forearm. She catches Scott’s arm and pulls it into a Japanese arm drag! Tsukiko looks to shift into a Fujiwara armbar, but Scott overpowers her before she can lock it in and wraps her up for a crucifix driver! He covers!

One!

Two!!

Kickout by the champ at two! Tsukiko bounces back up and goes right back on the attack, putting him on the mat with a headscissors takedown. She hits the ropes and goes for a dragonrana, but Scott catches her and slams her down with a suplex. He lifts her again and plants the champ with an inverted atomic drop! Scott looks to apply a sharpshooter, but the nimble fox escapes his grip and comes back with a sitout jawbreaker out of nowhere! Tsukiko with the pin now!

One!

Two!!

THR--NO!

Alex gets she shoulder up and shoves Tsukiko off him. Tsukiko grabs Scott by the hair and pulls him upright. She catches him with a spinning back kick to the midsection, followed by a stiff kick to the shoulder, doubling him over before forcing him back upright. Frustrated, Alex rushes in with a short arm clothesline. Tsukiko ducks and delivers a perfectly timed pele kick as he spins to face her again!

The “All-Day Superstar” shakes it off and answers her antics with a handspring back kick that sends the champ to the canvas. As Tsukiko gets back up, Alex sends her back down with a spinning wheel kick. Scott goes for the turnbuckle while the champ is down and dives off with a 450 splash -- but Tsukiko rolls out of the way! Nobody home! Tsukiko now up -- moonsault!

Scott out of the way this time! He pulls himself up on the ropes and goes right to Tsukiko, applying a crossface, locking it in tight! Tsukiko struggles, straining for the ropes as he puts on the pressure. She keeps reaching, the fans on their feet and encouraging the champ to get back up. A “TSUKIKO” chant breaks out in the crowd!

She keeps straining, but can’t quite reach. Instead, Tsukiko twists in Alex’s grip and manages to break free. Tsukiko up the ropes again, driving the challenger down with a diving leg lariat! Tsukiko with the pin!

One!

Two!!

Kickout at two from Alex Scott and he gets back to his feet. A snap DDT from Scott leaves the kitsune feeling dazed. He follows up with a ki-krusher -- THE ANSWER! And a cover!

One!

Two!!

THREE!!!

DING DING DING!

Jessica Kaine: The winner of this match -- and your NEW APW Junior Heavyweight Champion -- ALEX SCOTT!!!

“Fight Like the Devil” thunders through the arena to a pop from the crowd as the referee puts the Junior Heavyweight belt into Alex Scott’s hands. Tsukiko pulls herself to her feet and approaches the new champion, looking him square in the eye for a moment. Then, she bows formally to her opponent before leaving Scott to enjoy his win.

Smith Jones Segment

APW Interviewer Troy Butler is standing by backstage in front of a large APW logo and a blue drape.

Troy Butler: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Alpha World Champion… the incredible Smith Jones.

Jones steps into frame directly in front of Troy with his back turned to show off his shiny white robe with sparkly silver trim. Smitty’s arms are stretched out wide. Across the back of his robe reads ‘jazzed’ in flashy silver embroidery. Details include music notes and treble clefs. It is his most elegant robe yet. Jones remains the biggest thing in the shot as Troy is buried upstage somewhere on the other side of Smith Jones. With his back to camera and facing Troy, Smith chuckles lightly.

Smith Jones: Ask away, Troy.

Butler: Tonight, you step into the ring against “Jazzy” John McCarty in our Metal Main Event. After your brutal attack on Dean Wolf last Monday, are you worried at all about repercussions from your actions?

Smitty: Repercussions? What, from Reenie? From the Wolf man himself? I choose not to worry about anything, Troy. I choose not to fear anyone. If I wanna hit my recent tag team partner with the PoC after the match, that’s my prerogative. If I wanna trap him in The System until the end of recorded time, that’s my choice. I do what I want! Someone out there, please tell me what I did was wrong. Say it to my face one more time that I crossed lines last week when I left that half man / half atrocious piece of garbage laying in a pool of his own filth. I can’t hear it enough. I appreciate now better than ever, the size of the threat that now pursues me. Dean Wolf is dominant. Dean Wolf is unstoppable. Dean Wolf… is the next Alpha World Champion.

Jones pauses to swallow that bitter little pill before he stiffens his face and slowly turns to face the camera lens. As he turns, we can now see The World Title belt around his waist.

Jones grabs Troy by the collar and slams him up against the giant APW logo.

Butler: No, Smith. Of course n--

Smitty: Do you think I’m going to stand here idly by while superstar after superstar talks about taking this gorgeous gold belt away from me??!?

Butler: NO! Smitty, please!

Jones releases him and takes the mic as Butler exits.

Smitty: It’s Omega season. Everyone wants to make a big impression as we leave another year behind. Everybody wants to start twenty twenty looking sharp as a tack and smelling like a rose. I’m sick of people who think that being champion is about who tweets the most. Who oversaturates the market with their own brand. John McCarty is meeting me at a bad time. I’m at the top of my game. I’m at the height of my esteemed career and there is NO ONE in view who has what it takes to wrest this title from me. Tonight will end the very same way two thousand nineteen will end here in Alpha Pro. The very last thing fans will see on the very last broadcast this year... Point of Controversy. Pinfall. One, two, three.

Smith drops the mic and removes the belt, holding it out in front of himself with both hands. He yells loud enough for the camera mic to hear him.

Smitty: And ME standing tall with my grubby hands all over the Alpha Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship!!! Watch me! WATCH ME! STOP ME!!! TWEET ME LIKE YOU KNOW ME!!! TALK MORE!!! I’M YOUR CHAMPION!!! I AM YOUR CHAMPION!!!!

He exits still yelling.

BE A SNOWFLAKE!!! BE SMITH JONES!!! HOLD A CANDLE TO ME!!! CHOKE ON MY NAME!!!

Dean Wolf vs Zion Simmons

”SO SEEK THE WOLF IN THYSELF!”

Jessica Kaine: From wherever he may roam weighing in at 230 pounds, the APW Hardcore Champion, Dean Wolf!

Dean Wolf marches down the aisle like Steve Austin. When he enters the ring, he walks to every side of the ring, holding up the Hardcore Championship while also exposing the tattoo on his right arm which reads "Seek the wolf in thyself."

"White Dude" by Lil Dicky starts to play and Zion is accompanied to the ring by a random fan who's screaming about being on TV more than playing the role of valet for Zion. Zion shrugs it off adjusting his black newsboy hat and throwing down "sick" dance moves down the ramp. As he slides into the ring he stands up and throws up the international making money sign with his hands, he throws up his left index finger as he answers a call on his Samsung Watch. He blows off the fans as he mouths this is important, backing away into his corner. The lucky fan stands outside in his corner taking selfies barely having Zion in each shot.

DING DING DING!

The last peal has barely faded away before Wolf pounces on an unsuspecting Zion Simmons. Punch after punch rains down on the Dot-Com Mogul, but Simmons manages to cover up, protecting himself from the onslaught long enough to get out of reach. Simmons hits the ropes, rebounds, and feigns a clothesline. When Wolf ducks, Zion brings a knee up to his jaw and rocks him back. Dean Wolf shakes it off and answers back with a forearm smash.

Zion staggers back and into the corner, holding his hand over his face as if injured. The referee goes to check on him, but Wolf isn’t buying it and yanks the official out of the way. Simmons takes advantage of the instant to ram a shoulder into Wolf, then drops the hardcore champ with a tornado DDT. On a roll now, Simmons follows up with a standing moonsault and goes for a pin.

One!

Two!!

Wolf kicks out with authority and gets back to his feet and walks right into a Helluva kick -- no! He dodges and responds with a big back elbow, then follows up with a reverse STO. Wolf hauls Simmons back up and whips him to the corner, then comes in with a running kick. Zion dodges and Wolf gets hung up in the ropes! Simmons with a Michinoku driver! Another pin!

One!

Two!!

THR--NO!

Kickout by Wolf! Simmons hauls Wolf back up and pulls him in for a big bear hug into a suplex! Simmons with another pin attempt, but Wolf shoves him off before the count starts. Both men to a vertical base, and a big boot from Wolf sends Zion staggering back. Wolf follows up with a big DDT and waits for Simmons to get up again. Running knee lift -- EASY PREY!

Wolf comes in with that discus clotheline -- THE KILL! Simmons hits the mat and Dean Wolf hooks the leg!

Two!!

THREE!!!

DING DING DING!

Jessica Kaine: The winner of this match -- DEAN WOLF!!!

Metallica’s “Of Wolf and Man” thunders through the arena as the official raises Dean’s hand in victory.

“Jazzy” John McCarty vs Smith Jones

The camera pans around the crowd, showing their excitement. The camera then cuts to John McCarty, trumpet in hand, playing 'When The Saints Go Marching In'. The crowd sings along.

'O when the saints...
'Go marching in...
'Now, when the Saints go marching in...
'Yes, I want to be in that number...
'When the Saints go marching in'

He gives the trumpet to a backstage worker as 'Peaches en Regalia' plays through the arena speakers. He hypes of the crowd as he walks to the ramp.

He walks down the ramp to the beat of the song. He nods his head to acknowledge the crowd and eventually arrives at the ring.

The car horns start as John climbs the steps. He takes his time to enter the ring between the top and middle rope. He rebounds off the ropes. The flute starts to play as John climbs the turnbuckles, and hypes up the crowd again. Eventually, John gets down and leans on the turnbuckle, waiting for the match to start.

Clearwater: This is the match John McCarty has been working toward his entire career -- a chance to take on the APW World Champion and show everybody, from the fans, to the boys in the back, that he deserves to be the Number One Contender!

The opening guitar riff from Linkin Park's ‘Waiting For The End’ plays, followed by that haunting double piano note as all of the lights in the arena blast to full white. The lights start to slowly fade to darkness as every spotlight in the joint floods the entranceway with bright white light. Smith Jones comes out onto the stage dressed in a shiny white robe with sparkly silver trim. The World Title is securely fastened around his waist. Jones stops at the top of the ramp and looks out across the crowd as many of them chant "I'm right here! I'm right here! I'm right here!"

Ring Announcer Jessica Kaine: From Toronto, Ontario, Canada... weighing in at two hundred twenty-nine pounds... he is your APW World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion... there is only one... SMITH JONES!!!

Smith strides confidently down to ringside. He mounts the steel ring steps and wipes his feet respectfully on the ring apron before parting the ropes and taking centre. He steps forward to towards the ropes and removes his championship belt, hanging it from the top rope and snapping it in place. He raises his right fist in the air and looks up at it. Smith opens his hand and spreads his fingers out wide as he lets go of everything outside the ring and focuses on the fight before him. Jones removes his robe and hands it to ringside before stretching up for the match. The referee unsnaps The World Title belt and removes it from the top rope, handing it to the timekeeper. Smith sports that signature stone scowl that says everything is not going to be okay for his opponent.

Remi: Dude-bro, I have nothing but love for the Jazzman, but he may be out of his element tonight! Smith Jones is out for blood!

DING DING DING!

The two men square off, but John wastes no time going for a classic collar-and-elbow. They surge back and forth, but Jones’ strength advantage gives him the leverage as he pushes McCarty back. John levels a knee strike at Jones, forcing the champ to break away. McCarty follows up immediately with a waistlock, but Jones pries him off and reverses, locking his arms around McCarty’s waist and going for the lift.

McCarty struggles out of it and lands behind Jones, wraps him up, and drops the champ with a belly-to-back suplex!

Clearwater: Jazzy John going for an early pin here!

One!

Two!!

But a powerful kickout from Jones breaks up the pinfall. McCarty doesn’t let up, though; grabbing Smith by the shoulders to pull him to his feet, Jazzy sets him up for a dragon suplex -- DENIED as Jones reverses and puts John in position for a fisherman suplex! But McCarty fights out of it! Jones takes McCarty’s wrist and puts it in an overhand wristlock.

Remi: Jones in total control of the Jazzman now!

Jazzy fights against the wristlock to no avail, so he gets creative and drops to the mat, pulling Jones down with him and going for an armbar. The Champ releases the wristlock and instead drops a boot on McCarty. Jones pulls the Jazzman to his feet and lifts him up for a fallway slam! Cover by Smith Jones!

One!

Two!!

THR--NO!

Clearwater: McCarty showing a lot of resilience here tonight!

Remi: He may be headed for championship gold someday soon, but I don’t think that World Title is in reach just yet!

Back to his feet, and McCarty rushes at Smith Jones, slamming him to the mat with a running bulldog. He doesn’t stop, rebounding off the ropes to drop an elbow on the downed champion!

Clearwater: An excellent combo from McCarty, but why isn’t he going for the pin?

Remi: It’s obvious, Mikey-bro. He’s looking to prove that he is, in fact, the best technical wrestler in Alpha Pro Wrestling!

McCarty waits as Jones gets back to his feet and delivers a jumping sidekick -- but Jones catches the leg and twists, dropping McCarty to the canvas! Another cover from the champ!

One!

Clearwater: Jazzy up before the two and still plenty of gas in the tank! Looking for a tornado DDT now -- but Jones counters!

Remi: And it looks like Smith Jones is done playing! The Jazzman could be in trouble here!

Jones scoops McCarty up and drops him over his knee with a backbreaker! He pulls him back upright and sets him up for a piledriver -- but John escapes, rising up like Lazarus to drop Jones behind him! He follows up with a reverse Twist of Fate!

Clearwater: New Orleans Neckbreaker!

Remi: He’s looking to finish this one off!

McCarty is feeling it now. He gestures to Jones to get up, waiting, ready to put an end to the match. As soon as Smith gets to his feet, McCarty moves in with his patented swinging spike DDT -- but the champ evades! He whips McCarty into the corner and nails him with a Yakuza kick! McCarty stumbles out of the corner as Jones goes to the ropes.

Clearwater: Here it comes!

Remi: POINT OF CONTROVERSY!

Jones covers McCarty.

One!

Two!!

THREE!!!

DING DING DING!

Jessica Kaine: The winner of this match -- by pinfall -- YOUR APW World Heavyweight Champion -- SMITH JONES!!!

Mike Clearwater: Let's take a look at the end of this match in the replay---hey, what the hell is this?!

The cameras cut abruptly back to the ring where Dean Wolf comes from out of nowhere and rains rights and lefts on Smith Jones. He throws Smitty to the outside and then throws him over the announce table.

Mike Clearwater: Look out!

Luckily, Clearwater and St. Remi get out of the way. Wolf marches to the other side of the table and continues to throw rights on the World Champion, who’s prone on the ground. Jobbers from the locker room run down to ringside and pull the two apart.

St. Remi: Don’t break it up, dudes! Let ‘em fight!

Both men struggle to get out of the clasp of the jobbers. Wolf escapes and climbs up onto the apron, and dives at Smitty. Everyone falls to the ground. The crowd goes nuts.

Mike Clearwater: Wolf wants to tear Smitty apart after what happened last week!

The jobbers try to get a handle on the situation but with great difficulty.

For his trouble, Red Trunks eats a right hand from Wolf. Son of Red Trunks tries to defend his dad's honor, but he eats one, too.

Mike Clearwater: It’s absolute bedlam out here! We need actual security guards out here to get a handle on this!

Irina Ivanova comes out to try and direct traffic with security guards in tow.

Mike Clearwater: To say that tensions have boiled over would be an understatement!

Finally, security is able to separate the two men. Irina walks up to Wolf, who is being held back by a mix of jobbers and security.

Irina Ivanova: Look what you started! And you want to be my champion?!

Dean Wolf: Screw you!

Irina gives security an order.

Irina Ivanova: Get him to the back!

They try to take Wolf through the crowd, but he escapes and goes after Smitty, who's being taken up the aisle. Smitty headbutts Wolf in the wound he gave him last week, which temporarily stuns Wolf and allows security to pull Smith away. Wolf tries to pursue, but he's tackled by security and held down. He struggles but can't get up. Smitty yells to his challenger.

Smith Jones: I'm gonna finish what I started, Wolf! You're done! I'm hardcore! I'm the World Champ! I'm better than you!

Dean Wolf: You're a dead man! I hate you! That title is mine!

Mike Clearwater: Folks, we’ve got to go! What else is going to happen before Omega?!

The show fades to black as we get one more shot of each man's infuriated visage.
