A wide shot pans across the CURE Insurance Arena, the seats filled almost to capacity with cheering fans, a majority of them wearing T-shirts and other merchandise supporting their favorite wrestlers: Smith Jones and Dean Wolf prominent among names like Spartan, Steven Osbourne, and the “Honey Badger” Zombie McMorris. The camera closes in on ringside, where Mike Clearwater and Jonah St. Remington take their spots at the commentary table, smiling broadly as they slip their headsets on.

Clearwater: Welcome back to another edition of Monday Night Metal on this Veterans’ Day here in Trenton, New Jersey!

Remi: We’re still reeling from the after-effects of HorrorKore in Chernobyl! Who would’ve expected Steven Osbourne to claim the North American Championship from an undefeated Spartan? Or Tsukiko to literally bury Jaice Wilds alive to become a two-time Junior Heavyweight Champ?

Clearwater: And on the heels of losing his North American title, Spartan himself was attacked in the parking garage by the “Ghost” Voshon Jackson!

Remi: Right, bro? Wild! And while Spartan has been a little quiet on the subject, Jackson seems almost obsessed! These two men won’t meet in the ring tonight, but you have to believe a confrontation is coming!

Clearwater: I agree, Remi. There’s no way a man who likes a good fight as much as Spartan does is going to let this go. But there’s so much more going on here in New Jersey tonight! Ultimate Destroyer teams up with Johnny Blaze in what can only be a repeat victory against two of the competitors he thoroughly obliterated two weeks ago in Chernobyl!

Remi: While Jobber Dave’s career has been on the upswing of late, the last couple of weeks have seen him getting a little distracted, but with the might of Bobby Beauregard in his corner, this could go either way! Meanwhile, Alex Scott will face a debuting Flop, and I gotta say, my dude, I have no idea what to make of this guy. Like, for real, who the hell is named Flop? And what does he bring to the ring?

Clearwater: We’ll see soon enough, Remi! And in more singles action, “Jazzy” John McCarty takes on Defenestration Jones, who has yet to win a match here in APW. This could be a fairly one-sided contest.

Remi: Don’t count DJ out, Mikey-bro! I had the pleasure of watching her wrestle in UCI and she’s got quite the meanstreak. Half her losses there were disqualifications, she’s a certified BAMF.

Clearwater: That can’t be denied. Speaking of badasses, two men who both suffered losses at HorrorKore will meet in the ring tonight -- former Junior Heavyweight Champ Jaice Wilds and the aforementioned Voshon Jackson. And in our co-main event, the World Champ and the challenger have to work together against newly-crowned North American Champion Steven Osbourne and former contender to the World Title, Zion Simmons!

Remi: That is just a powderkeg of a match, and I, for one, can’t wait to see it explode! And finally, in our main event, Spartan faces off against Zombie McMorris -- which could be even more volatile. Both these men love to fight, but ZMAC has the edge when it comes to getting down and dirty!

Clearwater: Truer words never spoken. With that in mind, let’s get on with the show!

~~Johnny Blaze~~ Road Dawg/Ultimate Destroyer vs Jobber Dave/Bobby “Definitely Not a Gorilla” Beauregard

Jobber Dave and Bobby Beauregard are already in the ring, conferring in their corner, when “Lit Up” by Buckcherry hits the speakers to a huge pop from the crowd. The stage, however, remains empty. As the music abruptly cuts, the AlphaTron flares to life with grainy footage of the locker area. Several shadowy figures in tactical gear swarm the hallway as Johnny Blaze steps out of the locker room. Immediately, dozens of little red laser dots focus on his heart. Blaze drops his gear, hands up as if in surrender. They close in, and he bursts into action, swinging wild lefts and rights in a struggle for his freedom -- if not his very life! But as soon as one goes down, two more soldiers move in, and before long, Johnny Blaze is overwhelmed. The last image we see of him, Blaze’s wrists are bound behind his back with zip ties and a black hood is shoved down over his head. The screen goes dark. Moments later, the familiar hard rock cover of the Johnny Cash classic “I’ve Been Everywhere” echoes from the speakers. Ultimate Destroyer and Road Dawg step onto the stage together and step forward, posing for the crowd before they make their way down to the ring.

At the sound of the bell, Dawg slips to the outside, and Ultimate Destroyer moves in to meet Bobby Beauregard -- who is in no way, despite appearances, a gorilla. Nor is he now, or ever has been, associated with any criminal organizations known collectively as the mob. It’s Bobby on the offense with those big clobbering fists, but Destroyer simply shakes them off and shoves Beauregard away with a mighty push. Bobby roars in defiance! Destroyer roars right back at him and beats on his chest. Not to be outdone, Beauregard bangs his fists against his own chest, then takes a run at Destroyer, knocking him down with a shoulder tackle! Bobby with a figure four -- but Destroyer fights out of it before the big man can get it locked in! Frustrated, Beauregard grabs Destroyer and lifts him up for a fireman’s carry suplex! He nails it and makes the cover!

One!

Two!!

Destroyer kicks out at two-and-a-half and leaps back to his feet! Destroyer wraps up Bobby B and hurls him to the canvas with an atomic drop! Destroyer hits the ropes, rebounds, and comes back with a big boot just as Beauregard gets back up! He falls on his opponent and unleashes a flurry of mounted punches. Jobber Dave now climbing into the ring to assist his partner, but here comes Road Dawg! Dawg catches Dave and tosses him out of the ring, then follows up with a suicide dive! The two men continue to brawl on the outside!

Meanwhile, Beauregard has managed to escape the onslaught of Destroyer, but he’s looking worse for the wear. Destroyer simply won’t let up! He wraps his arms around Beauregard’s waist and lifts, dropping him over his shoulder with a snap suplex! He goes for another! Third time’s the charm and things look pretty grim for Bobby Beauregard!

Back on the outside, a dazed Jobber Dave is slowly recovering, while Road Dawg hastily drags a table from under the ring and sets it up near a corner, shouting to Ultimate Destroyer. Jobber Dave sees what’s about to happen and drags himself upright with heroic effort! Dave on the ring apron, hurricanrana to Road Dawg that sends Dawg sprawling across the table! Jobber Dave gets back onto the apron and ascends the turnbuckle, preparing himself for a glorious aerial move -- only to be unceremoniously shoved off by Ultimate Destroyer! Dave crashes down on the table on top of Road Dawg!

Now it’s Destroyer’s turn! He’s got a semi-conscious Bobby Beauregard up on the top turnbuckle and in position for a devastating powerbomb! Beauregard realizes his danger -- nearly too late -- and levels elbow after elbow at Ultimate Destroyer. Destroyer almost loses his balance, but manages to retain his footing! He shifts his weight and instead of dropping Beauregard to the outside, he powerbombs his opponent down on the canvas instead! Destroyer with the cover!

Alex Scott vs Flop

"Fight Like the Devil" begins, and there is a brief murmuring of fans. As the song picks up, Alex Scott parts the curtain, a look of focus and minor indifference on his face. He shows very little emotion, walking to the ring in his hooded sweatshirt, tights and boots. He hits the ring, uses the ropes the stretch, and then sits on the top turnbuckle, mentally preparing himself to wrestle.

“Stone” by Alice in Chains hits the speakers, and Flop simply seems to appear on the stage. Ignoring the mixed response from the crowd, he saunters down the aisle and rolls in under the bottom rope.

The bell rings and the two men circle each other warily, Alex sizing up his opponent, while Flop just gives him a silly grin and motions for a test of strength. Alex obliges, and the two join hands. Alex has the early advantage, forcing Flop down to one knee. Flop responds with a headbutt to the breadbasket that forces Scott to let go and leaves him gasping. Flop gets back up and follows up with a knee to the gut, then grabs Alex Scott’s arm, looking for a wristlock.

Scott with a clubbing forearm, giving himself enough room to escape. Scott with a roundhouse kick that catches Flop off guard! The “All-Day Superstar” follows up with a Tornado DDT and immediately drops for the cover!

One!

Two -- KICKOUT!

Flop leaps back to a vertical base and Alex Scott is right up with him again. Scott with an Irish whip that sends Flop into the ropes. Flop rebounds and eats a boot from Alex Scott! Scott with another cover -- but Flop shoves him off before the ref can start the count! Flop catches Alex with a double axehandle! Flop hits the ropes on his own this time and tries for a running clothesline -- but Alex Scott ducks! Flop rebounds again, and Scott catches him with a bicycle knee! “The Future” isn’t done yet. He hauls Flop upright and hits a standing dropkick! Flop drops to the canvas and rolls to the outside! Scott makes his way to the corner, keeping one eye on the fallen Flop, waiting for him to rise again. As soon as Flop finds his vertical base, Scott dashes across the ring, vaults over the turnbuckle, and hits a tope con hilo -- just as Flop moves out of the way!

Flop takes full advantage of the situation, grabbing Alex Scott and flinging him into the steel barricade! Flop grabs a folding chair, sets it up, and sits Alex Scott down on it. Flop leaps onto the ring apron, then flies off with a modified senton onto the seated Alex Scott! Both men are down on the outside! The official is done with their shenanigans and starts his count.

One…

Two…

Flop pushes himself to his knees as Alex Scott begins to stir.

Three…

Four…

Scott pulls himself from the twisted wreckage of the chair as Flop uses the guardrail to stand.

Five…

Six…

Both men upright now, and they charge each other! Scott nails Flop with a crossbody and leaves him lying on the ringside mats!

Seven…

Eight…

Scott rolls into the ring to stop the count, then right back out. He grabs Flop by the hair and hauls him up, then shoves him into the ring. Scott follows him back in. Both men find their feet again and Alex immediately locks in a standing crossface! Flop struggles to escape, but Alex has it on tight! Flop flails blindly and manages to grab the ropes, forcing a break. Flop responds with a kick, and Scott answers back with a dragon screw leg whip! Scott going for another cover!

NO! Flop was playing possum! Flop escapes the attempted pinfall and instead starts twisting Scott’s legs into a figure-four! He nearly has it locked in when Alex Scott twists his hips and reverses the leverage! Now he’s got Flop in an inverted figure-four! As Alex Scott puts more pressure on, Flop looks around desperately for the ropes -- but no luck! The “All-Day Superstar” has him trapped in the middle of the ring! Flop now trying to reverse the leverage himself, but Alex has the weight advantage and isn’t about to let him go! Scott really locks down the pressure, putting excess stress on Flop’s joints! If he doesn’t tap, something could break!

The referee kneels to check on Flop, asking if he wants to quit. Flop shakes his head wildly and tries even harder to escape, but Alex Scott adjusts his grip and really puts the pain on. You can see the strain on Flop’s face as he is finally forced to concede! Flop slaps his hand down on the mat fervently until the official signals for the bell!

“Jazzy” John McCarty vs Defenestration Jones

The camera pans around the crowd, showing their excitement. The camera then cuts to John McCarty, trumpet in hand, playing 'When The Saints Go Marching In'. The crowd sings along.

'O when the saints...
'Go marching in...
'Now, when the Saints go marching in...
'Yes, I want to be in that number...
'When the Saints go marching in'

He gives the trumpet to a backstage worker as 'Peaches en Regalia' plays through the arena speakers. He hypes of the crowd as he walks to the ramp.

He walks down the ramp to the beat of the song. He nods his head to acknowledge the crowd and eventually arrives at the ring.

The car horns start as John climbs the steps. He takes his time to enter the ring between the top and middle rope. He rebounds off the ropes. The flute starts to play as John climbs the turnbuckles, and hypes up the crowd again. Eventually, John gets down and leans on the turnbuckle, waiting for the match to start.

The house lights briefly flicker as the vocal intro to Ciara's version of "Paint It, Black" begins. Multicolored lasers play across the darkened stage when the music kicks in.

I see a red door, and....

A figure appears on the stage, silhouetted against the AlphaTron as it comes to life with the image of a thick pane of glass.

....I want it painted black.

On screen, the glass is struck by some unseen force as the drumbeat joins in, shattering in slow motion. The stage lights brighten progressively as the 'Tron shuts off again, until Defenestration Jones is fully illuminated, the light reflecting off her gold-and-black singlet. Her lip curls in a sneer of disdain for the fans as she slowly raises a fist into the air. Boos rain down from the crowd, fueling her as she stalks down the aisle with an arrogant swagger. She climbs the steps, crosses the ring, and perches on the turnbuckles. Jones lifts her chin proudly, and winglike spreads her arms to receive the crowd's malediction, a cocky smirk on her lips.

DING DING DING!

The bell sounds and it’s Jones on the offense! She catches McCarty with a big elbow smash, and follows up with an eye rake. But John blocks it and retaliates with a powerful forearm! He lifts her up and drops her back to the canvas with a staggering dragon suplex! The crowd pops big and John struts around, enjoying the attention. Jones climbs back to her feet, waiting on him to turn around and notice her. John does, and he plows right into her with a jumping sidekick that sends Jones staggering back against the ropes! McCarty looking to follow up with another suplex -- but Jones nails him with a low blow! Defenestration with a fallaway slam!

She waits for McCarty to get back up and springboards off the ropes with a crossbody -- but the Jazzman catches her in midair, spins her around, and slams her down to the canvas! McCarty with the first cover of the match!

Two!!

Jones kicks out before the three and leaps back to her feet, rushing in at McCarty with fire in her eyes. He catches her with a reverse twist of fate -- New Orleans Neckbreaker! He pulls her back up and drops Jones again with a Tornado DDT! He covers again!

One!

Djinn Ricky, Jones’ longtime manager, slips from underneath the ring...

Two!!

He grabs McCarty’s ankle and yanks him off, breaking up the pin! McCarty turns with a snarl -- just as Ricky releases him and backs off, hands up and a look of feigned innocence on his face. The distraction is just enough to allow Jones to recover and get the upper hand! While McCarty is still focused on Djinn Ricky, Jones stalks in close and goes for a judo-style hip toss! She follows up with a cross armbar and locks it in tight! McCarty has nowhere to go! Jones wrenches mercilessly on his arm as he struggles desperately to get out of the hold!

The harder she pulls his arm, the more McCarty struggles, until he powers out completely! He backs off, working the kink out of his shoulder as Jones climbs back to her feet. Jones wastes no time! She grabs McCarty and whips him into the corner. Defenestration with a handspring into an elbow smash -- but McCarty moves and she hits nothing but turnbuckle! Infuriated, Defenestration Jones turns around -- only to be caught with a swinging spike into a DDT! AD LIB!

McCarty with the cover, dead center of the ring, with her leg hooked! A frustrated Djinn Ricky paces just outside the ropes as the official makes the count!

"Stone" by Alice in Chains plays.Flop walks out onto the stage. He is dressed in clothes - a nice suit - well nice if it was bought at a thrift shop and smelled of your grandpas piss

Flop: Hello I am Flop. Not Flip. Not Flap. Not Bill. Not Ted. I am a transcendent&nbsp;enigma of the delicate Venus fly trap variety. And I am going now Goodbye.

Flop turns around and walks back through the curtains but then quickly reappears.

Flop: Oh I forgot Steven Osbourne I am pregnant with your baby! Goodbye Again!

Flop vanishes in a puff of smoke.

Jaice Wilds vs “The Ghost” Voshon Jackson

We come back from commercial and Jaice Wilds is already up on the turnbuckle, arms crossed in an X in front of him as the crowd goes nuts. His music slowly fades away as he hops down to the canvas, eyes on the entrance ramp as he awaits his opponent.

“Therapy Session” by NF thunders across the arena and the Ghost steps out onto the stage to a disapproving roar from the audience. They haven’t forgotten his savage assault on fan favorite Spartan. Nevertheless, he stalks down the aisle with all the confidence of a panther on the prowl, ascends the ring steps with catlike grace that belies his size, and slips between the ropes. He strolls casually to the middle of the ring and raises his arms to the crowd like he’s already a champion, drawing even more heat.

The bell sounds, and the two men meet in the middle of the ring, Jaice gazing up defiantly at the much bigger Voshon Jackson. Jackson talks shit, and Wilds responds with an elbow smash that barely seems to register. The Ghost simply smiles down at the Xtreme Aerialist and gestures for him to try again. Wilds does, only to have his arm caught and trapped in a hammerlock. Voshon keeps him in the hold, marching Wilds around the ring, entirely at his mercy -- then abruptly flings Jaice across the ring. Wilds rebounds off the ropes with a flying lariat. The big man responds by swatting him down to the canvas.

But Wilds bounces right back up and smashes his knee into Jackson’s chin! Dazed, Jackson staggers back and Wilds presses the attack with a springboard back elbow that takes Jackson to his knees. The Final General looks to capitalize with an enzuigiri -- DENIED! Voshon Jackson catches the kick and uses Wilds’ momentum to slam him down to the mat! Jackson with a cover!

One!

Two!!

Wilds kicks out just before three! Voshon shrugs and grabs Jaice by the hair, lifting him up as he stands, then nails him with a belly-to-back suplex! Jackson then drags a groggy Jaice Wilds to the corner and starts setting him up in a tree of woe position -- but Wilds finds the wherewithal to fight back! Wilds climbs up and hits Jackson with a Tornado DDT off the top turnbuckle! Now it’s Jaice Wilds with the cover!

One!

Two!!

Jackson with the shoulder up! The Ghost explodes off the canvas and grabs Jaice, swinging him around with a savage neckbreaker! Another pin!

One!

Two!!

The ref suddenly stops counting. Jackson looks up, irritated, and scowls as the official points to the ropes. Wilds has a leg resting on the bottom rope, the pinfall is invalid. With a growl, Jackson gets up, hauling Wilds with him. He goes for another neckbreaker, but Wilds fights out of it and drops down behind Jackson! Wilds to the ropes as Jackson turns around to face him -- SLING BLADE! The Xtreme Aerialist getting his steam now, hits the ropes again, rebounds -- and is caught! Jackson with a one-hand chokeslam! But he doesn’t let go, maintaining his grip on Wilds’ throat as he pulls him back up.

Voshon Jackson looking for a second chokeslam, hoping to put Wilds away and end this here and now! But Wilds somehow reverses into a modified hurricanrana! Wilds goes for a pin of his own!

One!

Two!!

Kickout with authority by the big man, Voshon Jackson! The Ghost is back on his feet and seeing red now as he advances on Jaice Wilds. Wilds goes for the ropes, but Jackson grabs him and pulls him into a crushing bear hug! Wilds manages to get one arm free and starts elbowing the hell out of Jackson until Jackson is forced to loosen his grip! As soon as he’s got space, Wilds unleashes a devastating crescent kick! Wilds to the corner, on the second turnbuckle, and Jackson stumbles right into the Agent of Chaos! Wilds with another pin attempt!

But Jackson shoves him off before the official can begin the count! Wilds meets him as he gets back to his feet with a pele kick! Voshon Jackson shrugs it off and advances on the smaller man. A superkick almost knocks Jaice out cold on his feet and then Jackson follows up with a cradle DDT -- NIGHTMARE! The cover is all but academic, but Jackson isn’t taking chances and hooks Wilds’ leg.

Steven Osbourne/Zion Simmons vs Dean Wolf/Smith Jones

“Fever for the Flavor” by Hot Action Cop begins to play and Steven Osbourne struts through the curtain carrying his trusty address book. He hits on as many women as he can trying to get their numbers as he makes his way to the ring.

"White Dude" by Lil Dicky starts to play and Zion is accompanied to the ring by a random fan who's screaming about being on TV more than playing the role of valet for Zion. Zion shrugs it off adjusting his black newsboy hat and throwing down "sick" dance moves down the ramp. As he slides into the ring he stands up and throws up the international making money sign with his hands, he throws up his left index finger as he answers a call on his Samsung Watch. He blows off the fans as he mouths this is important, backing away into his corner. The lucky fan stands outside in his corner taking selfies barely having Zion in each shot.

”SO SEEK THE WOLF IN THYSELF!”

Jessica Kaine: From wherever he may roam weighing in at 230 pounds, the APW Hardcore Champion, Dean Wolf!

Dean Wolf marches down the aisle like Steve Austin. When he enters the ring, he walks to every side of the ring, holding up the Hardcore Championship while also exposing the tattoo on his right arm which reads "Seek the wolf in thyself."

The opening guitar riff from Linkin Park's ‘Waiting For The End’ plays, followed by that haunting double piano note as all of the lights in the arena blast to full white. The lights start to slowly fade to darkness as every spotlight in the joint floods the entranceway with bright white light. Smith Jones comes out onto the stage dressed in a shiny white robe with sparkly silver trim. The World Title is securely fastened around his waist. Jones stops at the top of the ramp and looks out across the crowd as many of them chant "I'm right here! I'm right here! I'm right here!"

Jessica Kaine: From Toronto, Ontario, Canada... weighing in at two hundred twenty-nine pounds... he is your APW World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion... there is only one... SMITH JONES!!!

Smith strides confidently down to ringside. He mounts the steel ring steps and wipes his feet respectfully on the ring apron before parting the ropes and taking centre. He steps forward to towards the ropes and removes his championship belt, hanging it from the top rope and snapping it in place. He raises his right fist in the air and looks up at it. Smith opens his hand and spreads his fingers out wide as he lets go of everything outside the ring and focuses on the fight before him. Jones removes his robe and hands it to ringside before stretching up for the match. The referee unsnaps The World Title belt and removes it from the top rope, handing it to the timekeeper. Smith sports that signature stone scowl that says everything is not going to be okay for his opponent.

Simmons and Osbourne argue between themselves over who should go first, with Zion eventually appearing to relent and allow Steven the honor; though the smirk on his lips tells a different story. Conversely, Wolf and Jones barely exchange a word, Wolf stepping back to let the World Champ start things off for their team.

DING DING DING!

Smith Jones and Steven Osbourne lock up in a classic collar-and-elbow to start the match off. Osbourne immediately goes for a knee to the gut, but Jones has him scouted and delivers a headbutt to the chin of the North American champ. While Oz is seeing stars, Smith reels him in and drops him with a fisherman suplex and right into a pin!

One!

Only a one-count, though, as Osbourne quickly powers up and out of it! Both men to a vertical base and Smith stays on Osbourne, grabbing his arm and wrenching it! Osbourne grips Jones’ wrist and twists, reversing their positions. Smith stomps on Osbourne’s foot to distract him, and gets control again, then drops an elbow right between Osbourne’s shoulderblades. Smith follows up immediately with a pumphandle slam and another pin attempt!

Two!!

Kickout by Osbourne and he rolls up to his feet, rushing for his own corner, but mysteriously, Zion Simmons isn’t there! The fan, acting as Zion’s valet for the evening, simply shrugs when Steven demands to know where his partner is, then points at something approaching from behind. Osbourne turns around, only to be met with an elbow smash. Jones capitalizes on the moment with a hammerlock and uses it to manhandle Osbourne away from his corner.

Quick-thinking, Osbourne grabs the closest set of ropes with his free hand and uses the leverage to break the hold. He slips out of the ring, looking for his partner, while Jones is left standing in the ring with a puzzled look on his face. He’s not impressed with the shenanigans, and follows Osbourne to the outside. Smith grabs Oz by the shoulder and spins him around -- only to get smacked in the face with a kendo stick Steven had just snagged from under the ring!

Zion Simmons suddenly appears from out of nowhere, sensing an opportunity, and yanks the kendo stick out of Osbourne’s hands, then goes to work on Smith Jones. It’s a two-on-one situation, with Simmons and Osbourne taking turns with the stick, while Dean Wolf drops down from his corner to see what’s going on. Osbourne turns his attention to Wolf, and pretty soon an all-out brawl breaks out at ringside, with the referee shouting at all four competitors from the ring. They aren’t listening, so he begins the count.

One…

Simmons cracks the stick over Jones’ back.

Two…

Jones whips Zion into the ring apron.

Three…

Osbourne takes a wild swing at Dean Wolf.

Four…

Wolf blocks and sends Osbourne crashing into the ringside steps!

Five…

Jones and Wolf square off, eyeing each other with bad intentions.

Six…

A recovering Zion Simmons gets back to his feet.

Seven…

Steven Osbourne stands once more. He exchanges a glance with his partner.

Eight…

Osbourne and Simmons rush at Wolf and Jones from opposite sides! Wolf intercepts Simmons and drops him with a massive DDT! Jones catches Osbourne with a swinging neckbreaker!

Nine…

Hastily, Wolf and Jones roll Zion Simmons into the ring, stopping the official’s count. The ref motions to one of them to get back in the ring. Smith starts to, but Wolf pushes him out of the way and climbs back in himself. Just as Simmons uses the ropes to pull himself upright, Wolf runs in at him with a knee lift -- EASY PREY!

Wolf waits, stalking Simmons as he struggles to stand again, then unleashes that discus clothesline!

Clearwater: The Kill!

Wolf covers Zion.

One!

Two!!

THREE!!!

DING DING DING!

“Of Wolf and Man” plays. The ref raises Wolf’s hand

Jessica Kaine: The winners of this contest…

The announcement is interrupted by Smitty walking up to Wolf and kicking him straight in the balls. The music stops and the fans start to boo.

Clearwater: What the hell?!

Wolf falls and keels over. Smitty goes to the outside and throws the timekeeper out of his chair. He folds the chair up and comes back into the ring.

Clearwater: Oh God. Come on, Smitty! Don’t! He’s defenseless!

Wolf looks up to see Smitty standing over him with the chair. He looks up at his adversary defiantly. Smitty winds up.

Clearwater: NO!

BANG!

Wolf falls to the canvas.

Remi: He’s been busted open, dude!

Wolf tries to stand but he’s spaghetti-legged. Smitty strikes him again with the chair.

Clearwater: No more, Smitty!

Smitty goes under the ring and finds a toolbox. He opens it and pulls out a screwdriver, admiring it before rolling back into the ring. He laughs as Wolf tries once again to stand. He makes it to his feet, very wobbly, and motions for Smitty to bring it on.

Clearwater: Wolf, we know you’re hardcore, but think of what you’re risking! You have a World Title shot in three weeks!

Smitty lifts the screwdriver in the air and stabs Wolf right in his wound. Wolf immediately goes down. Smitty follows and jabs the tool into the wound even more.

Clearwater: Look at his face! He’s transformed into a madman! What is the point of all this!

Remi: He said he was going to have to dig deeper and become more violent if he wants to beat Wolf at Omega, bro! He’s doing that right now!

Smitty gets up, Wolf’s blood on his hand. He wipes it on his face and chest to the horror of the fans.

Clearwater: How is Wolf still trying to stand!

Smitty is surprise himself. Wolf is not aware of his surroundings even though he’s barely on his feet. Smitty runs up behind him.

Clearwater: POINT OF CONTROVERSY!

Smitty wipes his hands clean and leaves the ring, grabbing his title from Jessica Kaine in the process. Officials start running down to the ring to check on the Hardcore Champ. Smitty looks back and sees Wolf beginning to sit up with the help of the officials. The World Champ drops his belt runs back to the ring.

Clearwater: Enough already! What more do you have to prove!

Smitty pushes the officials out of the way and locks in his submission on Wolf.

Clearwater: THE SYSTEM!

Smith Jones: You’re not getting out this time! You’re not going to beat me at Omega! I’m the better man! I’m the better wrestler! You’re nothing! You’re nothing! I’m the World Champion! I’m the best!

Wolf passes out as Smitty tightens his grip on the hold and gets maximum torque. Smitty looks as maniacal as Bob Backlund. Officials try to break it up but Smitty only lets go when he wants to let go. When he does, he gets to his knees and observes his handiwork- Wolf bleeding and passed out in the center of the ring. The officials yell at Smitty to leave but their orders fall on deaf ears. He finally shoots up to his feet and snaps at them.

Smith Jones: I LEAVE WHEN I WANT! I’M THE WORLD CHAMPION!

The back off as Smitty laughs at their fear. He leaves the ring and walks back up the aisle. He picks up his title and looks back at the ring, laughing at the scene.

Clearwater: Smith Jones has gone mad! Is this the man we’re going to see defending the World Title at Omega?! Is Wolf even going to make it to Omega after what we’ve just seen?!

The fans boo as we get one more shot of Smitty and Wolf before the show fades to black and goes to commercial.

Main Event

Spartan vs Zombie McMorris

Clearwater: I can’t believe what we just saw! Smith Jones has lost his mind!

Remi: Yeah, but you kinda can’t blame the dude. Dean Wolf has had his eye on that World Title since he signed his contract with APW -- and now he’s closer than he’s ever been. Smitty’s only protecting what’s his.

Clearwater: Be that as it may, it’s not a great precedent for a World Champion to set!

Remi: Agree to disagree, bro. Anyway, it’s time for the main event!

Jessica Kaine: The following match is scheduled for ONE FALL! Coming first to the ring, hailing from the Big Easy… Standing six feet, six inches and weighing in at two-hundred pounds; he is the Coked-up Madman, the Immortal American -- ZOMBIE MCMORRIS!!!

"American Darkness" hits the PA system as ZMAC runs out onto the stage with high intensity, pulling the crowd in and hyping them up. He runs to the ring, sliding in and takes to the top rope as the fans tell it like it is.

Jessica Kaine: And his opponent...

“Unstoppable” by For the Fallen Dreams begins to echo over the Arena’s PA system. The arena goes black and then strobes begin flashing in a seemingly random pattern over the crowd before focusing on the entrance way. Spartan appears in his in-ring attire, as the flashing stops, with a single beam focused on him. Spartan raises his arms out beside his body and roars, before the arena flashes into darkness. Just as the lights return to normal, a hulking figure rushes onto the stage and spears Spartan down flat!

Clearwater: What the hell is this now?!

Remi: Someone just attacked Spartan!

The figure rises and the lights catch his face as he drops a boot right on Spartan’s ribs.

Clearwater: It’s Voshon Jackson! He’s already made his feelings about Spartan clear, and now he’s really taking it to the former North American champ!

Spartan takes a few more boots to the ribs, then catches the massive foot of Voshon Jackson and shoves it away. He gets up quickly and starts to fight back, the two men brawling across the stage, while ZMAC just watches from within the ring. Just as it appears Spartan has the upper hand, Jackson reaches into his pocket and slips a set of brass knuckles over his fingers, then nails Spartan in the face as hard as he can!

Remi: Oh my god! Spartan is busted open from that! How is he going to fight ZMAC tonight?

Jackson takes another swing, then another, absolutely working Spartan over. Then, for good measure, Jackson hauls Spartan up and drops him across his knee with a backbreaker, before leaving him on the stage. Medics immediately swarm the stage, checking on the injured competitor. He tries to wave them off, but is obviously suffering a concussion and they won’t allow him to compete. Suddenly, Flop comes rushing from behind the curtain, dodges the medics tending to Spartan, and sprints down the aisle to the ring.

Clearwater: It looks like Spartan is unable to compete, but Flop is going to be taking his place, apparently. Word from the back is -- yes, that’s precisely what’s happening. Flop in the ring now, and it looks like the referee is ready to start the match!

DING DING DING!

Remi: Flop showing absolutely no fear as he charges in at ZMAC, and OH! DAMN! Right in the cojones!

Clearwater: Ouch. Flop took the full force of Zombie’s boot to his crotch, but the official didn’t see it! Now Flop is on the canvas and Z is about to put an early end to this match!

Remi: AXE WOUND!

Clearwater: A truly devastating gutwrench spiking powerbomb! And another just for good measure!

Remi: The cover is academic at this point, dude, and ZMAC knows it. He puts a boot on Flop’s chest.

One!

Two!!

THREE!!!

DING DING DING!

Jessica Kaine: The winner of this main event -- ZOMBIE MCMORRIS!!!

Clearwater: And that’s our show for tonight! Join us next week for another edition of Monday Night Metal!

ZMAC’s music hits the speakers to a huge pop from the crowd. He celebrates in the ring with Ruby Redd as the show fades to a black screen with the APW logo
