Well, we've been in business since August. We've had ups and downs, and right now we're in another roster slump.
So here's what we need to work on:
1 -- Advertising/Recruiting: we've got solid core members, and you guys are all amazing, but this fed needs more people actively participating. We need to get the word out through whatever channels we can think of. We need people who will stick around and not flake out the first time they lose a match or some other silly thing.
2 -- Matches/Segments: I know I should just count on having to do whole shows on my own, since this is my baby. That's my fault for not starting the matches as soon as I have the card up. I just got used to the way WCF and UCI always had a semi-dedicated staff. So to that end, I'd like to know what incentive I can offer to interest people in match writing more. Or should I try and recruit a dedicated writing staff? Also, I really dig segments/storylines/feuds so let's get more of that on the shows.
3 -- Staff: In addition to potentially having a match writing staff separate from active roster, I may need judges to help with some of the decisions. Judging is easy when an opponent no-shows, but you guys are all such great writers, it's really difficult to choose.
Omega is our final PPV of the year, then we'll be taking a break for the holidays and return in January, hopefully stronger and better. To that end, does anybody have any ideas or suggestions?
As an alternative to having a dedicated staff of writers, I'm thinking of changing the format of our weekly shows to summary/recap shows and only doing full matches for PPV's. I hate having to do it that way because most of us are used to the WCF/UCI environments, but if nobody objects, I'm willing to give it a shot and see if things run more smoothly that way. (Even if it means giving AW another thing about us to make fun of.)
